Score from 1364 reviews Very good
Very good rooms. The hotel is very close to subway and Lama Temple
The day of the check out I asked a taxi for the airport. The surly and stropply madame at the reception offer us the "taxi friend of the hote" for 180 yuan. From the airporto to the hotel in a crowdy day I pais with taxameter 85 yuan only. I asked to call a normal taxi and she roughly answer us to go on the street in front (like a motorway, -5 °C, and bagagges) and stop a taxi. So we must did and after 10 minutes we found the taxi who at the end costed only 73 yuan. The last time 3 years ago happened the same. This is a shame !!! In addition discussion about the time of the breakfast, always take away without any choice from the KFC nearby
Our room was very small,it was a room with a toilet and shower with no door so there was no privacy at all
I liked everything!
bad location. No access to hotel from road. Located very interior
When we missed our train to our next destination, a man we assumed to be the manager was very helpful in contacting our travel agent to enable us to re-book our train tickets, and we were very grateful for his assistance.
During our stay we went out for the evening and returned at 23:15 to find the door locked and the staff had gone to bed. The outside light was off. We eventually managed to wake someone, but in the dark I stumbled and fell heavily, badly bruising several fingers. As only 2 rooms were occupied that night, we felt that the staff should either have warned us what time we should be back, or checked to see if we were back when locking the door. The injury to my hand affected my ability to carry my bags for the remaining 3 weeks of out trip and could have been more serious (e.g. broken wrist). Language was often a problem, so perhaps the hotel owner could bring this to the attention of their staff for future reference.
Nice environment, both the hotel and the buildings in the vicinity.
Location is perfect. Near a major metro station with 2 lines, in a really hip hutong with tons of cool bars/restaurants. Nice decor with chinese style and cool rooms. Bike rentals.
I love the red. It's location is great right in the Huton and about a 10-15 min walk to the metro stations. Which makes it about 45 minutes from the airport with the airport express and subway option. Lovely bars and resturants around the hotel. Nice place to just relax and explore. Although most places close about 10pm around there it makes it a good quite sleep.
Did have enough time in Beijing. But the place was great maybe a more thorough breakfast would be better.
The general atmosphere of the hotel and the decoration. The wonderfull location, very close to 2 subway lines, and in a lively but still quiet hutong. Good quality/price ratio.
There was no door and no curtain for the shower. Cleanliness could have been better. Very big damp spot on the wall. Breakfast choice was limited to a sandwich.
The location, near to a tube station.
room were small; no free waterbottle; not the comfort one expects from a 4-star.
Excellent location - readily available subway transportation, the hutong has become very "artsy" in recent years, it is next to the buddhist centre and Lama Temple, has a characteristic atmosphere of hutong courtyard. The staff was helpfull.
The hotel is even more compact or cramped than others of the same type.
Location, excellent location of hotel, metro line 2 and 5 Receptionist spoke english. Comfortable bed. Nice decoration inside of hotel.
First night we were accomodated at rooms with doors directly to the street (extreme traffic at that street ), where was not possible to sleep without ear plug, which we do not have. Do net never ever acccept room with doors directy on to that big road. It was like in the middle of motorway since doors and windows do not fit fit tightly. We were transferred into room inside, where was heard some noise from corridor, but is possible to sleep. There was no where written that watter is not included in room price and at the end fee per each water was requested - not fair since price is not annonced in advance and in 4 star hotel should be incuded in price. I do not consider hotel as 4 star hotel, hardly as 3 star hotel. Walls in both roomes really needs to be repainted. Rooms are extremly small, no wardrobe or place where to left opened suitcase.
Happy they have got wifi sorted. The location is excellent and so close to the temples and hutong
Locations and the chinish design. A nice looking hotel.
Staff was not helpful and spoke little english, the airconditioning was broken the whole time and was not fixed though we asked for it every single day, also with help from chinish speaking person. Not possible to get to talk with the owner or managing director for the complaints.
Excellent location, friendly staff
There were a few glitches in our room.
Home far from home... It is like to be guest at friends family My first place in Bejing... Ralf kuehn Way of Asia Germany
Location very closed by subway Feel like in old chinese home Nice hotel
noisy some times
Among all bad staff, there was 1 young boy that knew English good. That one only made a difference.
Wifi very unstable and very very slow. Staff does not speak English (just few words, which is not helpful). But this is China
Location, service, staff, building.
Towels smelt like chlorine.
very close to subway station, the bed was comfortable, the staff is helpful, room was clean. Coffee was good.
toilet-paper wasn't enough… no shower curtain, breakfast with good coffee but nothing to eat.
