Best Western Shenzhen Felicity Hotel  

Very nice hotel. It has been guest of head of states from many countries including President Bush. I enjoyed our stay very much.

Hotel's modern and very clean. Price is good too. I like it.

I liked everything. No complaints.

The proximity to Luo Hu station was a bonus and it is also very close to the Luo Hu commercial centre for shopping. The room was very clean and the staff were very helpful. The only thing I might suggest improving is the quality of the food in the hotel which was below par for a 5 star hotel. Otherwise my stay was very comfortable and if I were to visit shenzen again I would consider booking best western as they did offer value for money.

Shenzhen Best Western is located at one block from Lu Hu Station that is the main subway / train / bus station at Shenzhen, where you can go to anywhere at Shenzhen even Hong Kong extremely easy. Its very good for turists, since if you get lost you just need to search for the nearest station and you will find your way back very fast!. So this is, I think, the strongest point for this hotel, even thou you must walk 8 or 9 blocks to reach a nicer commercial zone. The hotel staff is very kind. For the price I expected a little more luxury and bigger rooms, but its not bad at all. For this money you assume its clean, comfortable beds, good bathroom etc, but is good to confirm IT IS like this, no dissappointing with this. The extra services could be better, with a bigger business center with living room and else, since if you want to receive suppliers or something like this you must go to the lobby restaurant were two coffees are 15 usd (I been at a lot of hotels were business centers drinks are free...)

The rooms are getting older and older, no renovation visible. The brakfast could be better.

The staff speaks poor english. Everything costs money in this hotel (even city map ). the massage is good but they force you to pay tips. Shoving treatmants that you dont like. Keep suggesting the expansive one though you've asked for another. Wifi only in the expensive rooms. The lobby wifi very weak. There is a business room with internet computers but they dont work properly, they charge 50rmb for 10 min use and 5rmb for a page print ( if you orderd the hotel by internet you must print the reservation ) its a five stars hotel and no one picks up your luggage. The bath in the laxury room has mold in it. Dont worth the payment ( pay attantion to the 15% service fee )

Restaurants not so good, no international choices

Good Location and nice hotel and they upgraded us as they did not allocate us the original type of room we requested and they were all gone when we arrived. They tried to get us to pay for the up grade and also pay more for a non smoking room though they had never tried this on previous stays at this hotel.

The computer in the luxury suites don't work even when we asked that it be fixed.

The executive rooms up on the Club Lounge Level is fantastic value as it includes breakfast, afternoon tea and canapes and evening free cocktails. The rooms are very comfortable with fabulous views over Hong Kong and Shenzen. The Staff are very helpful and any concerns, they respond immediately. The hotel is very modern and equal to 5 star. The location of the hotel is very easy to get to if one is taking the train direct from the airport - within easy walking distance of the station. It is also across the road from the shopping mall and hk border crossing. If one wants to go to Guangzhou on the train it is also within walking distance to the same train station.

I requested a non-smoking floor but as I had requested twin beds the only floor for the Club Lounge available was level 25 which is a smoking floor. This was unbearable and one of the nights there must have been someone smoking from around 1.30am onwards and so I went home sick.

The hotel is a bit old...but ok! Even in relation at the price, that is reasonable and not to high.
