FX Hotel Guan Qian Suzhou    

Good location

Hotel strongly need renovation. Ravages of time has been felt extremely everywhere. Our group had 3 rooms +1 room due to wide mould in bathroom and also in living room we've needed to change.

Front desk booking is too expensive. Internet booking rate is o.k.

You overcharge me on my 1st day check-in one day ahead of my Internet booking.

Super large bed, good location.

Location great - very close to Bell Tower/Drum Tower. Rooms large. Beds large. Value for money. Cupboard.wardrobe space for unpacking and sitting area with table and 4 chairs.

Showing signs of lack of maintenance. Shower showing damp through wall. Paintwork scuffed and peeling in places. But did not detract from overall experience which was very good.

Comfortable hotel with a convenient location very close to the subway station. Most of tourist attractions are however a bit far, still it is inevitable in Suzhou which attractions are spread out in the city. It is not bad value for money.

Staff does not speak English and quite often seems unwilling to help (for example when asking for the city map they claimed first they had only Chinese language map - when I then found an English language map in the internet and asked to print it out, they suddenly found in their source English map; when I asked to order a taxi they gave me a piece of paper with handwritten number of taxi corporation but were unwilling to call it themselves).

A little old and need some improvement done in the room and better furniture. I paid cny398 for 2 nights with breakfasts, but was told I have to pay again, thus I skipped my breakfasts at the hotel, would like to get a refund if possible.

Hotel was in a good location and was very good value for money, particularly after just coming from staying in Shanghai for 4 days. The room was massive (twin room with two large doubles!) and was very easy walk to the centre to the east, and the bars, clubs and restaurants to the south. Wifi in the rooms was intermittent but at least you don't have to go down to the lobby every time you want to get online, as is the case with lots of other hotels in China. Would definitely recommend staying here - and if you're going out in Suzhou, make sure you go to Phebe nightclub! What an eye-opener!

The heater in the room didn't work, but the girl on reception got us a plug-in one which did the job. The reception area was always very busy and it took a while sometimes to get served, but other than that, a really nice, relaxing stay at a very good-looking hotel!

We book cheapest room first. But it was too small and looked poor. We changed it to bigger. It looked better

The price and location is awesome

Heater is broken and I counldn't close the door of shower room. I told the staff and she even told me just put some towels on the floor would be fine.

Well situated as it is within walking distance of the shopping area of the town.

The breakfast offered was very local Chinese and certainly did not appeal to International tourists! Very disappointing! No juice, no coffee, no bacon and eggs, just local Chinese food.

The rooms are perfect, very clean, nice, modern and big enough. The location is very good, just one block from all the commercial area. During night this area is great, with a lot of places to have dinner, a lot of lights and people !! Besides the hotel is a bit far away from the tourist garden area, it's not a problem. We went walking without any issue or you can take a taxi that are not expensive.

Receptionists talk very little english. They aren't very polite. We had to go to the street to get a taxi to the train station, the hotel didn't get one for us. But this is something that we faced all over China, it seems that hotels of this category are not used to have taxi services phone numbers.

Extremely good value for money, spaceous, nice and clean rooms. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Perfect location, close to everything within walking distance. If you get there by train, you can get to the hotel by bus. Also, people were very nice but was difficult to communicate in English.

One day in the morning, at around 8am, the housekeeping knocked on the door offering towels. We were sleeping and we couldn't get back to sleep again. Also, the breakfast is not western at all. Only chinese food.

Location is good near to the pedestrian street and just 15 Yuan away from the railway station or bus station to Tongly. Shops and restaurants are around. Room is comfortable

Staff do not speak english at all. Bed was very hard. Tv was old tube not an lcd as shown on Booking.com

Great location, value for money. Big room and my bed was super nice too.

In the room there's everything you need: hair-dryer, slippers, bottles of water, many samples... My room wasn't very big, but acceptable. Really liked the corridors, with dim lighting and music playing! Good position in the center of Suzhou, at few meters from the subway station of Leqiao and close to the pedestrian street. Very good quality- price ratio!

The only weak point of this hotel was the poor cleanliness of the floor in the bathroom... Too many hairs!

Good location next to train station. Modern place and free Internet. Take a taxi to the hotel if you don't know where the bus stops. The public transport is confusing and don't expect any help from the unfriendly bus drivers.

The breakfast is not worth it. The place was a bit dusty.

The location is excelent, in the center of water ring. The comerce around provides a lot of restaurant and shop options. The staff is nice and tryied to understand what you wish although the lack of english at certain time.

The shower box have some project problems, it's too small for me, a thin guy, and smells bad for the first minute when you turn on the water. There was not stable wifi on my floor, i had to go to lobby. And the ambient music is too loud sometimes.

The hotel is good and it was a good refreshing after several hostels with bugs going around.

The towels were washed but dirty, let's say they were white long ago. Big shame for such hotel.

The location is great but if you come by train you should take an official taxi from the rail station to avoid inncoveniences
