Location in botanical gardens where you can stroll and watch people dance and exercise Beautiful buildings and nice tea house with live traditional music

Rooms were ok but not fancy, a bit on the basic side.

The hotel is very beautiful with traditional building style. Lots of trees and garden that help you feel more relax. Mattress and pillow is very comfortable. I do not want to wake up in the morning. Staff also very helpful. They can provide the necessary information per your query.

Some staff still do not have good English skill for communication. It would be great if everyone can use basic communication language.

The kids loved the outside pool. They didn't want to leave when we had to go - which was the first time in China that happened. My wife and myself liked the big, very comfy beds, the good airconditioning, internet, and most of all the quiet nights, even in the middle of the city. HUGE rooms and beds, bigger than ours at home. Soft matresses, great pillows. Personally I also really enjoyed the park around the hotel and the surroundings on the grounds (with koi carp pond). The teahouse was nice, with live traditional music in the evenings. The pickup and drop-off at the entrance was extremely helpful, we went to quite a few rides using their driver and van, and it worked great: they brought us there and picked us up again at the end of the boat tour, for instance. The driver also made sure we had the tickets and everything - all arranged by the hotel. The staff was very nice and helpful. All in all I recommend this hotel very highly. I'm very happy my friends recommended it to us, and I'm happy to recommend it as well.

The breakfast could do with some yoghurt. That's about the only thing I can come up with.

Best hotel me and my wife have had the pleasure of staying at. Highly recommended as it is a destination in itself. Profesional and friendly staff as well as a great shuttle service. Our room was well decorated, clean and next to a pond so when we went out on the "ground level" balcony fishes swam towards us (a great first impression). In addition, the hotel also had a swimming pool and tea ceremony house. The hotel is located in a big garden and blends in nicely through its own decorations and building style.

Food and drink a bit pricey for a Chinese hotel. However, nothing worse than what can be expected in Europe.

Th hotel is wonderful - easily the equal of a western boutique hotel. The staff are wonderful and attentive - if you think that China has something to learn about customer service, you need to think again. Wonderful stay

Wonderful staff and service. Beautiful and quiet setting in the parc. Good restaurant with local specialties. Fine, spacy room with all the necessities. Highly recommended!

Few minor dysfunctions in the room, but quickly resolved. Minibar could be a little bit more filled. Nice souvenir shop but very pricy.

Great location in the botanical garden. Very friendly staff.

    - The breakfast was offering little vegan or even vegetarian options as pig fat is used for cooking. - The offered a free update to a suite. Not sure if I would take it next time as this didn't have a balcony (unlike the booked room). Nevertheless very nice.

The hotel is in a garden, which is a very special location that you can enjoy a jogging in the rain forest anytime. The outdoor swimming pool is also very nice.

I hope, there will be a modern cafe inside the hotel, the tea house is really not that good. And the restaurant need to provide outdoor seats.

The ambience .... islands of pagoda style villas floating above a meandering lagoon filled with colourful exotic fish and situated in the centre of a large public garden oasis adjacent to the city centre. Very attentive and personal service. Generous room sizes and luxury fittings. Short walk to short bus ride (number 10) to the city centre.

Because of the humidity, the practice of washing but not drying the shiny tile floors and stairs can cause a significant slip hazhard which persists for many hours.

Didn't like the food. The answer above is not correct as the categories do not answer who I was travelling with.

    The gardens

The breakfast. There were no clean tables to sit at. We sat our children at a small table and had to stand beside them. It should be advertised as a Chinese breakfast.

The free upgrade on arrival, the staff's English was pretty good and they were keen to help with anything, free airport pick-up, the trips we went on were reasonably priced, great location for people-watching in the park nearby, near to the Too Shopping Centre on the other side of the park - with plenty of eating establishments there

Walls between the rooms were quite thin, the bread products at breakfast were dried out/stale (we passed this on so they may well have remedied this), the restaurant menu was pricey, we were given a voucher to use in the tea house but it didn't even cover for the two of us and the prices of tea were high (aimed at rich Chinese guests?)
