Great location, Nanjing Rd next corner, walking distance to Bund and Peoples Square. Last century's grand hotel style inside, excellent restaurant(s) and service.

    Breakfast is a little expensive.

This is a Lux hotel at exellent central location. The room is large and comfortable. The staff was good (in comparison to other hotels in China)

Almost everything was OK, until I decided to take breakfast. The quality was atrocious. Tomato joice was dilutted with water, coffee simply bitter and imposible to drink, the food was not tasty. For that the charge was equal to $30. The internet is slow, but I have found the same almost in every hotel I stayed in China

Staff - friendly and professional Room - absolutely gorgeous Location - excellent, right in the city centre Wish we could have stayed longer!!!

Spa - only the men's side of the spa has a hot tub! (A little disappointing for us ladies) Breakfast - comme ci comme ça

Excellent leisure facilities, location is very convenient to shopping, People's Square and the Bund. Bedroom was very comfortable, quiet and well - stocked including a bedding menu.

Prices in lobby area for drinks and coffee seem too high. Cost of using wifi in Business Centre is also seem too high. Wifi was very intermittent in the room.

    The localization

The deposit requested is just ridiculous compared to the room rate

Good hotel ambiance. Big bedroom and amazing bathroom. It has a very good location major sightseeing is in walking distance and has a metro stop just in front so location is hard to beat. Will return to this hotel if I go back to Shanghai

Staff could be more friendly and the concierge more helpfull truth be told he was no help what so ever in recommending night venues.

3rd time staying there. If you can afford it go for the Executive Upgrade and have breakfast in Executive Lounge and take full advantage of the (free) happy hour.

The wifi appears to behind the "Golden Fire Wall" access to Google and some sites very limited if at all. News apps seem to work on iphone and ipad.

Great location, friendly, outgoing staff with reasonable English, and a willingness to help.

Wifi was fair but not great. Separate facilities (spa etc) for men and women (a cultural thing I guess - so not really a blight on the hotel).
