Rooms a bit small for the price
The staff was outstanding especially Thomas Schmidt, the front office manager. He is the epitome of customer service. The hotel is 1/2 mile from Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City and is located on top of a high end mall with a variety of local and chain restaurants, and subway station. Excellent workout facility to include an incredible pool.
- like the twice a day cleaning service - efficient concierge - good location
- check in and check out was slow. - Internet speed needs improvement .
All was really excellent! Good facilities, great SPA, professional staff, excellent restaurants and very nice room!
Restaurant bills in general very expensive compared to the cost of the room! Cost of private car to the airport more expensive than what I usually pay in NY or other International cities.
Hotel location and facilities are good and staff were skilled and met expectations
Hotel rooms not so spacious and a bit overpriced
location is excellent, staff are very friendly and professional and one gentleman at lobby even greeting to me by calling my name! which is a nice surprise!
western food is not served with original tastes. instead, quite localized, which is not good for such a hotel. if guest wants chinese food, they would choose chinese food restaurant, for people go to western food restaurant expect authentic western food. marble wall and floor in toilet were poor quality and started to powderized.
Limo service and pretty lady greeter as you exit the plane
Pollution not within their control.
Staff, happy hour, bar and breakfast, wonderful swimming pool!
Location & facilities. Nice swimming pool.
The room is small, and the bathroom is a bit old
Go downstairs directly into the mall and exit onto wangfujing street. Excellent hotel, excellent staff, especially the crew in the lounge, excellent location
Hotel is in a great location to many attractions and is a 5 Start Hotel. Would l stay here again and the answer is yes. We had a two room apartment which was very good. House keeping was very very good and only too eager to please which made our stay a very enjoyable experience. Staff at reception where very good and check in was very good, although check out a tad slow. Free Wifi was good to have. Restaurants were good, but with some issues with table service in one of the restaurants (Noble)
Noble restaurant staff while very pleasant made the occasion not so pleasant. The staff were very nice, but being nice is not the only thing you need in a restaurant, they need to understand service. We ordered and we got one dish a good 10 minutes before the rest of the meal came out.... then we asked for plain rice which took 20 minutes to come out (we asked for this when first dish arrived) Then they hovered around us darting in and taking dishes that were not quite finished and interrupting out night... so some extra training required. My wife had not finished her wine and the waiter was trying to take the glass away... really poor form. And noting the wine pour was the smallest I've seen anywhere in the world!! The only saving grace was the food was good, but Management needs to employ mystery customers and look at the areas for improvement, as this could become a very very good restaurant. Wi-Fi does have some black spots, but generally very good. Front eating area on the right as you come through the main entrance of the hotel the service is what l would call 2* rate and some additional staff training is required and that their supervisors need to get on the ball to ensure 5* service. Waited 20 minutes for some ice cream... here was the order can we have two bowls of ice cream, l would like l bowel of strawberry and vanilla, and one bowel of chocolate ice cream, 20 minutes later we got one bowel with three scoops, you guessed right 1 vanilla, 1 chocolate and 1 scoop of strawberry… come on!!
The pool was fantastic after a long day of walking and the spa treatments good too.
Didn't like the older room format but pleased that they swapped us after one day to the newer format although it was quite a hassle.
restaurant Made in China, pool
room was not available when we arrived well beyond 2pm and had to wait for one hour
Near the metro station, well located. Wonderful hotel.
Two subways station at walking distance. Very elegant surroundings: Excellent shopping center just beneath the hotel. Staff very friendly. I was advised to upgrade to executive status and it was a very good value for the additional cost, around 110USD: you get breakfast for two and a good lunch (a little late though: 5pm) plus cocktails
As everywhere else in China: bad internet speed (by the way it is free in your room)
The location is excellent. As for the rest, it is quite overpriced and I don't think it is worth that amount of money.
I was in Beijing for business for for me Wi-Fi is extremely important. Awful service. I was told to switch to the 'charged' one. So, why are you offering a free wi-fi, if then it is not working?
Amazing room and facilities. The spa and pool were very relaxing
The internet in the room was not reliable
The hotel presented a truly lovely panda toy Lounge bar is ok with a good choice of wine and alcohol.
The cleaning lady forgot to supply water and cleaning bags all the time (during the 3 nights stay). Lounge bar waitress was rude to Chinese customers by checking each ID on one night and suggested the Lounge bar was available to hotel guests only, excluding their visitors. Not surprised to find that the foreign guests did not receive the same treatment.
We had the two room suite and it was clean and spacious. Amenities were good.
Staff were ok, not extremely helpful when we asked for directions.
The fitness center
breakfast to expensive
