Jing Guan Ming Lou Museum Hotel    

Good orientation from the front reception staff. Clean washroom. Great view from the restaurant. Very central location.

TV didn't have any english channels - no big deal.

The hotel is really beautiful. Location is excellent. Staff is very friendly and I always had at least one English-speaking person in the lobby. Facilities are excellent, and they have free WiFi in the lobby and in each room. Price is very good. Heartily suggested.

Is an interesting hotel. Location wise is very strategic. Budget friendly!

During the morning while packing-up, we turned over one of the pillows only to find dried blood over the back of the pillow. Certainly disturbing. Also, the 5th floor area for breakfast is extremely hot and only a small fan to keep the patrons cool.

The Chinese decorated rooms were really beautiful. Staff were friendly and professional. Clean. Good price for very high quality hotel.

The hotel is in an excellent position next to the lake and a scenic walk to the predestrian walking streets.The hotel staff are very helpful,friendly and the hotel has a welcoming vibe.the hotel offers great value for money and I would not hesitate to stay there again

The location in front of the lake and closer to restaurants and shopping area. The room very big with all the comodities and the personal very helpful. They speak English which is really a plus in China.

The antiques throughout the building are fabulous! It was like we were staying in a museum, not a hotel. The staff was courteous and responsive. An evening meal was surprisingly good, not Chinese but Italian food.

Breakfast. The worst coffee I've ever had in my life! And fried food that I didn't expect and would never have ordered. They need to give their hotel guests options and a menu of choices.

We loved the place. The daughter of the owner works in the rception and knows English and is very helpful and kind. The hotel is about 15 minutes walk from the center of town. I recommend.

Internet didn't work most times. A lot of noise because there was construction work going on. The room was quite dark and cold.

La camera era bella, grande, con tutti gli accessori sia per il bagno che per il tè. La struttura è davvero particolare come già letto in altre recensioni. Il personale è disponibile e parla inglese. La posizione dell'albergo è molto buona. Per il resto, andateci tranquillamente nei mesi in cui non serve il riscaldamento. Tenete presente che il materasso è duro, ma è una cosa molto comune in Cina e ci si abitua. Nella nostra camera non c'era la doccia, ma la vasca e la tenda di plastica (un pochino usurata) senza però avere la possibilità di appendere in alto il doccino, ma non è stato un problema, la pulizia del bagno e della stanza andavano bene. Attraverso l'hotel è possibile prenotare, oltre al taxi, anche alcune escursioni.

Questo albergo non ha una struttura adatta per l'inverno. Durante la nostra permanenza in Cina siamo stati in diversi hotel, all'incirca della stessa tipologia e fascia di prezzo, e in nessun altro posto ho avuto problemi di freddo come in questo albergo. La camera non era piccola e per riscaldarla c'era solo una specie di condizionatore elettrico che butta fuori aria calda o fredda a seconda dell'impostazione. Appena si spegneva tornava il gelo in camera, mentre quando andava si sentiva un forte rumore per tutta la notte, partiva e si fermava in continuazione. Inoltre in bagno non c'era nessun condizionatore, quindi abbiamo dovuto tenere sempre la porta aperta per far arrivare l'aria calda anche lì. Abbiamo provato a chiedere un'altra stanza, ma ci hanno detto che erano tutte così.

The addition "museum" in the name is not an exaggeration! Rooms, corridors, staircases, the whole hotel looks like a museum, with paintings, vases, chests with porcelain just about everywhere. Location is right next to the Ronghu lake, which is very beautiful. 15-20 minutes walk to the lively center area.

We enjoyed our stay at the Museum Hotel. We were welcomed by friendly staff who were very helpful throughout our visit. The hotel is a small museum with interesting and beautifully displayed artifacts. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and comfortable with a good wifi connection. Breakfast is served downstairs in a room with display cases around the walls. We were there in November 2012 and they were building an elevator and roof top bar which the staff explained would be finished in a month. They will make great additions to the hotel. Opposite the hotel is a series of lakes which are lit at night and provide a pleasant place to walk. Behind the hotel is a great night market and lots of restaurants to choose from. We have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

As usual in China the beds are hard!

Unique older atmosphere, with many artifacts and curios. Location excellent for relaxation, being over road from lovely lake and pathways through gardens.

No lift and best views higher floors - but ok if fit.

It is a beautiful hotel with cultural values. The location and surroundings are outstanding. Shopping good. The big hotel rooms with artistic look and all neccessary equipment and the breakfast room with all historical items. the furniture and the cosy lobby with books and nice staff makes the hotel something extra. Being around 70 we missed a lift. The roof terrace with a view of Ronghu lake was stunning... We recommend this hotel to anybody who can use stairs with or without heavy luggage.....

The Jing Guan Ming Lou Museum Hotel is a great hotel in the heart of Guilin. It is very confortable and designed tastefully combining western and chinese styles.

The only problem of the hotel is that has no lift. Neverheless, the service is very considerate and they help you with your heavy luggage.

This was a lovely hotel conveniently located opposite a park. Staff were helpful pointing us in the right direction for tourist spots and places to eat. There is a lounge area available to guests which we used to play cards and have a nightcap. Overall a good experience.
