Score from 115 reviews Good
The room is clean. Their staffs are friendly and patient even though I arrived in the midnight, the reception was freiendly to help me to change a room for certain reason.
The hostel was in a beautiful building full of authentic charm
The town was very polluted with smoke from coal fires
The staff was amazing. They are so kind and nice. They also could speak English well Location is very close at tourist attraction.
I think bathroom has two improvement points first, bathroom drains very slowly second, it smelt bad
A really friendly hostel with helpful English speaking staff. Clean facilities and a real sense of home from home. Great place to meet other travellers and prefect for exploring this area.
It was great to meet new people and make friends, we even played beerpong one night! The location is great, 10 min walk from the bell tower.
1) Convenient 2) Walking distance to MRT, Local Bus Stop, Local Food, Muslim Street, shopping centre, night markets. 3) Nice and helpful staff 4) Nice decoration of hostel 5) Staff speaks well English & Chinese 6) Value for money
The best hostel in china!!! Amazing!
This place has it all (or at least a lot). The common-room offers both food and drinks, but it is no problem to bring your own (the best food (and cheapest drinks) you can find outside in the streets :-)). The hostel has a sauna, which is 100rmb: but they offers free-sauna night twice a week (thursday and sunday evening). This might sound a bit too-much but is was actually amazing to dive into a sauna after climbing the Hua Shan mountain. The hostel also has a very nice roof terrace and there are free hot (and cold!) water taps everywhere in the hostel.
The dorms have en-suite bathrooms. This is a pro and a con at the same time. The negative part is that when the room is full (6 people) and everybody plans to get up at the same time, you might end up waiting quite some time to either brush your teeth, take a shower or go to the toilet.
Great location, very comfy beds, the hostel has everything you need. We had a double before moving to a single which was actually more spacious and had a better bathroom. Most of the staff were helpful, friendly and efficient. We also stayed a night at the other hostel up the street when we cam back to Xian which was great (although we arrived at 3am just as the bar closed so not sure how that would have affected our sleep).
Some staff could be more attentive / helpful rather than watching tv novelas and acting like the guests were a nuisance. A bit of very late and early morning street noise (not the hostel's fault) Pick a room at the back if you can, we were at the side.
This hostel was a wonderful surprise! Not only did the hostel send me a personal confirmation email once I booked my rooms (including directions from the airport and train stations) but my fellow travelers and I arrived at the Xi'an North train station from Beijing around 7pm, got to the hostel about 30 minutes later in the pouring rain. The staff was incredibly accommodating, spoke English, and were very, very friendly. The hostel had food and tour options available, is in an incredibly great location near the Muslim Quarter, and is one of the cleanest and most comfortable I've ever stayed in.
Wifi signal is terrible.
english speaking staffs are really friendly and helpful, clean room and building, quiet neighborhood
Rooms are basic, but very clean; hostel staff speaks very good English and offers a lot of tours; European and Asian breakfast is available in the restaurant for extra charge, Bycicle rentall was possible, very well situated in the old town, about 900m form closest metro station, highly recommend to stay there
Free pickup from the Xi'an railway station. Helpful staff, very clean room with a wooden floor. Towels (even a small towel for hands which is not common in China) and soap provided. A very secure hostel.
Poor and unstable Wi-Fi. Noisy environment ( a loud music in the reception - hard to understand).
I liked that my room was clean and my bed was comfortable. Wifi was working very well, and my room was in the very corner of the third floor, so that's a plus. Staff organizes little parties for guests every week, like they teach you how to make local dumplings.
The only bad thing was that I gave a bag full of dirty clothes to be washed on Thursday. But they forgot to do the laudry and gave it back to me still dirty on Saturday withouth having done the laundry.
They gave us our money back when we changed the hostel. The athmosphere in the entrance was very nice.
We booked one of the most expensive rooms there, superior with double bed or sth. When we booked the description says that there will be a kettle, a hair dryer and a heated kan-bed. In fact there where nothing at all. When we asked for the staff was really pissed and gave us a hair dryer. They said that the guest didn't want a kettle, therefore they removed it. Sounds like a bad excuse for us. The room just had a little window, was really dark, looked like a prison cell, and the bathroom smelled sweet, must have been the cleanser. We arrived, saw it, and looked for another hostel, we changed withinh half an hour.
Lots of events and info is available if you want it. The staff were friendly and spoke very good English. They didn't seem to mind humoring me at my poor attempts at Chinese either... The hostel is nicely placed to all of the major stuff to see in Xi'an. Loved it, would definitely go back.
Great helpful staff and good location.
In the evening / night the music on the ground floor or outside can disturb your nightrest.
We did stay there 3 nights. Hostel is Very good for this price. Staff speaks english. Friendly service. WiFi did work also in our hotel room. Walking distance to Bell-Tower, subway etc. Street-food options are very close if you prefer local breakfast to classical breakfasts served in hostel.
In Deluxe King-size room bed did take out most of space. (Check wide-angle photos carefully and consider room squaremeters ). Street itself is not so nice-looking as decorated entrance what you see on photo.
Rooms are nice (though small). Staff is helpful and has decent English. General vibe is pretty great and the location is right where you want to be in Xi'an. All in all, it's a nice place in a Great city
The staff were great. Friendly and helped me out booking flights. The hostel runs a good though slightly expensive terracotta warriors tour. Nice environment and table tennis on the roof. Wifi is ok downstairs but slow on the roof terrace. It does allow vpns to work which is a bonus as some don't. Beds are comfy with individual plugs and lights.
The limited bathrooms just available in the dorm rooms so often 1 bathroom to 6 people. No extra showers or bathrooms on floors. Shower floods the bathroom a bit when used. Which means can't use toilet without getting wet feet. Wifi very poor on roof terrace, rest of the building was ok though.
The staff were friendly and the room was clean , hot water on demand but no kettle in the room there was hot water for tea and coffee available on each floor, the roof terrace was a good social area.
The rooms were very dark and the lighting was really poor also the the rooms were very small they had to much furniture in them WiFi was also very poor in some area's
Cleanliness, good ambiance inside the hostel
Poor location, high price. Jinjiang Inn is better located close to the Drum Tower but room is Y100 cheaper. If only I knew that earlier...
Organised trip (evening of dancing and dumplings) through reception. They have a good selection of trips advertised on posters in reception and can ad lib more by organising drivers/recommending buses. Incredibly friendly staff with good english and willing to learn more! Good bar with reasonable prices (and special offers) on site. We didn't sample the food there as it looked a bit too western. Useful location for easy access to the Bell tower area, but a little tricky to find the first time (we walked from the station - I'd recommend to others to get a taxi to avoid getting lost the first time). Maps available in reception of Xi'an.
Trying to find it on foot the first time
Staff were very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. My room was very comfortable and very clean. For similar price elsewhere in China it was never so good.
Not enough Chinese food on the menu.
