Away from the maddening crowd and across the road from a beautiful scenic park, and West Lake. Beautiful design interior
Not clise to restaurants, other than inhouse one. My son found his room a little bit noisy from the inhouse bar below
Great stuff, nice design of rooms, complimentary fruits and great coffee on the 2nd floor. The LongJing tea with spring water in the room was outstanding. Rollaway bed was very comfortable.
Location is a bit distant from key city attractions, rooms are a bit dark.
Room was lovely. It was quiet, spacious and included a sitting area. Decor quite nice Excellent tea and tea set in the room. An espresso machine is in the small lounge area. Staff helpful. Attached restaurant good for dinner and additional cost breakfast good. Across the street is the entrance to a park where you can hike up through a bamboo forest for a view of the lake. There is a bus stop outside the hotel (and another a block away) for the excellent local bus service (all signs in Chinese, so you have to know in advance how many stops to your destination) There aren't many dining choices nearby, a few noodle shops around the block. And a Starbucks about 4 blocks away. But the downtown area has many great choices.
Taxi drivers do not know this hotel. Booking.com provided us with the booking in Chinese as well as English. This helped with the taxis, but we had to call someone at the hotel to speak to the cab driver. It is several miles from the town center and West Lake and gardens. If one does not speak Chinese, it is a bit difficult, but kind of fun to take the local buses. Warning: Google navigation is still in beta for the town.
Ease of access to the lake, large room, excellent help from English speaking staff, and a massage at the end of the day.
Busy road at front, but we had a room at the rear of the hotel so noise was not a problem.
The rooms are very spacious and modern looking with comfortable beds. The bathroom is large and very clean and lots of amenities are provided. Staff are pleasant and courteous.
I can't comment on the location as I took a taxi to wherever I needed to go and didn't have a chance to walk around the area nearby the hotel. The water pressure on one of the shower heads wasn't very good but the second shower head was OK. The doors to the shower and toilet are clear glass but not directly visible from the room unless you stand at a certain angle due to the positioning of the bathroom mirror and wall of the semi walk in dressing room area.
Great chic Room design, great bathroom and bath, peaceful interior, in room tea set and fruit, cocktails in the bar, great crab in the restaurant, great staff
No english television chanels, 30 minute walk to the lake (but still worth it!)
The bathroom, in particular the shower, was extremely mouldy with a strong smell that reached the bedroom. In addition there were several hairs on the bathroom floor.
The staff were super efficient and helpful. The room was very comfortable and I really enjoyed the round tub! Great park across the street.
Some what isolated and about a 30 minute walk to the West Lake.
Beautiful room layout. Fully equipped, clean, and functional. Even came with a gongfu tea set. WiFi in the room was ok, although a bit slow overall -- keep in mind that China's blocking of several websites forces you to go through VPN hops. Free 24/7 access to a cup of ok capuccino was also a great plus. The hotel is well located in one of Hangzhou's good neighborhoods and further features a restaurant (one of the best in town), spa/massage center, and bar with open-air section. Would definitely go back to this hotel should I visit Hangzhou again.
Very cool boutique hotel near West Lake and popular expat bars & restaurants. Rooms have a peaceful bamboo design I really like. Very affordable, including spa.
Some mold in showers, but cleanliness is very good by China standards.
Very friendly personnel Outstanding restaurant For a chinese hotel quite small - combined with the nice interieur it was a very nice experience. We had a family suite and it was very spacious and nicely decorated. Our kids did not want to leave.....
The gratis Cocktail was a disappointment.
Breakfast is not on the level it should be
Talk big do less
The room was large and beautifully decorated. Everything was clean and comfortable. The front desk staff held my train tickets for me, told us where to rent bicycles and went above and beyond by letting us use the spa when we needed to take a quick shower after we had already checked out. The wifi worked great as well and the breakfast (which wasn't included in our rate but which we decided to pay for) was generous and pretty good.
At leats two of the Reception staff speak very good English and were very helpful and gave us lots of advice. The Hotel is located opposite the entrance to a park from which you can access a Temple complex and the various walks acreoss the hills to the Lake. Alao bus stops . It was a please to remain in the room - we liked the decor so much!!
The hotel design is excellent - good reception, spacious areas to relax, and lovely rooms. Beautifully turned out in wood, simple and elegant. Really pleasant place to stay. Quality of rooms, facilities, wi-fi, and service all excellent. Also, very close to restaurants and bars, as well as close to West Lake - climbing up to Baoshu Pagoda you can get panoramic views of West Lake, and if you don't fancy the climb, is only 25 minutes walk around the side.
In common with almost everyone else, I thought the breakfasts were a little adventurous. And not in a good way.
The furnishing style is very boutique. Room is pretty spacious.
Service could be better but it is average boutique standard. No food after 9pm. Restaurant is average.
maybe due to peak period(i dont know if this is the season for travelling), it difficult to get a cab Hangzhou is a nice place.
your staff has removed things from the room i am stay (301) without informing me. it was reflected to the receptionist as i think nothing can be bring out of the guest room without their knowledge
Rooms very nice and spacious.Breakfast was pleasant.
It was absolutely amazing. And so nice to see someone really thought about the design of this place. Oh yea and it smelled super nice:)
The hotel was stylish and in a good location . The staff were very helpful and friendly.
Great location and excellent restaurant! The dishes have brought me amazing experience in Hang cuisine!
The proximity to West Lake area without being physically lakeside - and paying price for same. The small "boutique" size of Hotel. The space in bedroom with a small sitting area. 15-30 minute walking took you to central shopping area or alternatively around lake to pedestrian areas and wide choice of restaurants/bars/cafes/shops and ancient streets Directly opposite from a park and delightful hill walk with early morning locals exercising - great views from the top and easy trails to many historic sites
The design of the hotel was modern and very chic and the room was large and very comfortable with a cosy sitting corner. It was close to the park near the lake and although I unfortunately couldn't eat there it aparantly has a quite famous crab restuarant. It also has a very trendy bar/ nightclub that was refined but bouncing when I was there to sophisticated salsa. Boy can the Chinese dance!!!
The breakfast finished at 9.30 and I missed it. I arrived late the previous night . They should have warned me.The lights were too dark in the room
Excellent hotel, the best I've been in China. The rooms where big, extremely clean and complete. The hotel is calm , quiet and very comfortable. There was a cute tea& fruit welcome set in the room, and we got a hand spa treatment and a coctail at the bar for free. They offer a computer and a printer free for the guests, which is very useful for tourists. I would definitely repeat.
No breakfast included with the room. A little far on foot from the lake (around 15-20 min) but totally worth it!
