The staff were very friendly, helpful and cheerful. The courtyard is a very nice place to relax. There is a very welcoming communal area, and close to line 1 metro. A great place to meet Chinese and international travellers.

The showers were not great as the water goes all over the floor, and in the dorm rooms the bathroom required cleaning daily. This was more due to messy roommates than poor cleaning.

There is a friendly and family atmosphere ! I enjoyed a lot my stay here. Team is young and very helpful !

The room is nice and clean. Location not bad. 5 mins walking to subway station. Not to far to Hou Hai and Gu Lou.Price is acceptable. staffs will not provide u more informaitons if u don't asking.

It's economic and wise to choose this hostel, and thanks to my colleague's recommendation. It's neat and lovely with a bunch of young friends.

They were part of a building with construction work going on from 7 am to 7 pm. They refused to refund our one night in which we had to wake up really early because of the construction work. They were cocky and arrogant, not taking our complaint seriously. You cannot let someone into a ho(s)tel and then let them wake up by banging hammer noise at 7 am! We must have paid around RMB 200 for a room.

The reception staffs speak english, so it is easy to communicate. The location is reasonably near to the bus stop and subway station, so it is easy to go around beijing from the hostel.

They did not provide towel and I went during autumn which was quite cold for me and the heater was central and it was off so I have to keep up with the cold, however the blanket was good and warm.

It's an lovely place where Chinese traditional decorations are combined with modern recreational facilities. The environment was quite comfortable with reasonable price, and the young attendants were very warmhearted.By the way, I love that little bird kept in the public yard!

The prices of stuff at the bar were relatively high, which is understandable.

They renovate hostel it was mentioned that is noizy from 08:00-18:00. It was noizy from 06:45-21:00. We make rezervation of this hostel because they present them self that they accept Master, Visa... At arrival they want cash; then min 3% provision on plastic in the end they take Master without provision. Chinese buisiness :-(

It has a very international environment. There are many facilities which cater for all kinds of travellers particularly the younger people. The setting of ancient chinese styles added to the charm of this hostel. It is within walking distance to the train station which will take you to Central Beijing. Within walking distance too are many small shops & restaurants. Also, a supermarket is nearby too.

1. There is NO Wi-Fi in the room. 2. This hostel DO NOT accept credit cards of any sort. I had to look for a bank which will give me cash advance & that was VERY inconvienent as chinese banks don' t trust foreign cards or travellers cheques very much.

The staff are really friendly even though there was a huge mistake of not having my booking in the system. They immediately corrected that mistake and gave us another room.. good place to meet up with many other travellers from the other parts of the world. kudos to all the staff in heyuan! :)

A top pick in Beijing for backpackers! Very clean and many services available, the courtyard was very cosy to have a drink in or meet other backpackers.

A small remark would be that the staff could speak English, but not everyone was as proficient.

The room is new and clean. The staffs are also kind and friendly.

a bit far from the nearest subway, It takes me about 15 mins from the station to the hostel.

The very Chinese style courtyard truly provides a nice place to sit down in the morning. And love the yogurt from it very comfy cafe.

The wifi is so slow and unstable as everybody is using the same connection, i could barely send any pictures, And actually my room didnt have wifi connection as stated in the description.

Great public areas- pretty, spacious, and far enough from bedrooms so that noise was not an issue. It was perfect for my schedule of needing to work on my computer for several hours each day. Convenient to subway and most locations in the city. Self-laundry facilities also a bonus.

I expected to share the dorm room with other travelers, whose schedule would be similar to mine. However, all other roommates during my stay were local university students, so they slept much later and did not have the same interests.

The service workers in the hotel and in the bar are so friendly. I liked the friendly and festive atmosphere. Young people share with mature people like I. Thanks

the ambient of the staff and guests is charm, the Hostel offer a great value, it is secure. The best is the bar that all the nights you can meet any kind of travellers around the world and chat with young bar tenders, or simply play a pool game.

it's really good value for money. All facilities I needed were provided. Staff were very friendly and helpful and gave us great tips on travels and things to do. We could also find many local food places and shops in the neighbourhood. We truly enjoyed our stay in Heyuan.

The only criticism is the cocktails in the Heyuan bar (there's definitely room for improvement) and the room is a bit cold (although it's already early April). We often had to ask for an extra blanket. There is no mirror in our twin room so we had to blow-dry our hair in the shower which can be dangerous as the floor is wet (no bath tub so the floor of the entire shower is wet after use.)

Very friendly and pleasant staff!!! If you need help, they always can give you information. I liked the quiet courtyard inside the hotel. They have a bar there you can rest after you travel. Comfortable rooms.

Some slow wi-fi speed. The first time, it is difficult to find. No signs in English. Otherwise, an excellent place to spend your time in Beijing.

我们在和园住了一晚后，本来打算多住一晚，要求客栈的员工帮忙买第二天的车票，员工表现非常不耐烦还说她很- 忙，叫我们自己到附近的火车代售站查询，我们一气之下跑去和园隔壁的迈克之家，虽然价钱贵一倍，可是环境和- 员工素质都物超所值。从来没有遇过态度如此恶劣的酒店或客栈的员工。以后不会再入住和园。

Le personnel à la reception. La prppreté de la chambre. La reservation de tours disponible sur place. Un restaurant servant de la nourriture "western" sur place même si le menu est assez limité. Une station de métro facilement accessible.

L'environnement extérieur immédiat n'est pas très invitant.
