Holiday Inn Express Luohu Shenzhen

Courteous and helpful staff with directions and loan of use of umbrella. We were allowed a third person to stay without extra charge in a tiwn room. The beds were big enough anyway - at least for Asian sizes, but I wouldn't advise Westerners to do the same. Another big plus point was that the safe deposit box was big enough for me to accommodate my 14" screen Acer laptop.

There were two minor negatives though. The first was that although the voice message light on the room phone was lit, but when I asked to access it, I was told there was no message. This was definitely an error, because my friend told me he had left it. However, I didn't make a formal complaint as it was quite minor and I actually forgot about it. The second was that the carpeting was quite loose and generally not well fitted in the room as well as around the lift lobby. This may cause tripping.

This is a budget hotel. Clean and near everything. Great location.

Need to train staff to be more courteous

Check-in/out procedure and staff very eficient, some staff can speak English. Comfortable room, bed and pillow (better than Hong Kong hotel with double charges). Sufficient breakfast with wifii facility.

Location is not too easy to find (our 1st taxi driver cannot find this hotel within 10 min and after call his friend), far enough from metro station (15 min walks), shuttle to nearest metro station only at 08:30 am.

Staff were friendly and spoke good enough English to get by. Had a laundry facility which made things easier.

No room service at all (except for cleaning). Very hard to control the temperature in the room so it was either freezing or very hot.

Good location and excellent Staff who were most helpful at all times and tired their best in English. My wife and I got good directions to the Metro .. only 20 minute walk and a chepaer way of getting around Shenzhen rather than Taxis who don't speak English. Very good Rooms and comfortale beds.

Breakfast over a 6 night stay was found to be boring. I would have been prepared to pay exra for an optional Hot Breakfast Choice each morning.Breakfast selection & Time could be done in the room the night before with the extra charges going to the Room Bill. Oh for the ablility to choose Bacon & Eggs or a Mushroom Omelette!

Bra soverom og Bad, manglet minibar som gir et lite minus. Ellers fint og sentralt belliggende.

Frokosten som skulle være buffet frokost var svært skuffende, Ihjelkokte grønne egg, og ellers forferdelig utvalg for en vestlig person, stort rush av folk og trangt og tomt for det meste. eneste "spiselige" var toast og frukt. Men det finnes Mc donalds over veien som var ca. 3 ganger bedre enn frokosten på hotellet, utrolig synd når resten av hotellet og personalet holdt en meget høy standard ellers.
