This is a converted hotel from a 1room apartment We were relocated to next room after staying for 2 days in our 3days booking. No reason given and The relocated room was not so tidy. I recommend if you have budget constraint !
Nothing, The Staff Were Absolutely Horrible and Unhelpful. The service is the worst in China with 4 months Experience in Hotels in China
The Room Literally Stank so bad of Smoke or some Chemical I thought we were being poisoned being in it, The Towels reeked of Smoke and all our clean cloths and bags needed to be washed and aired as the smell went through absolutely everything including our childrens toys. Never stay here The shower only holds 60 litres of water which equates to 1 persons shower then you have to wait 12 hours for it to get warm enough to have another one. The Staff were acutally Horrible in fact the first time I say one of them smile is when I got upset because we were locked out of our room for the 2nd time as the key card didn't work and we needed to get our luggage urgently to catch the train. I asked to book the Dumpling Banquit and Show and they wouldn't, they referred it to their Tour Company (John) who I believe is associated with the hotel by kick backs from tours. I have to say that John was honest and his prices were reasonable. What Else, Water Filter we paid for leaked out all the water and we still had to pay for it, I could go on and on. I wouldn't ever stay here even if I was paid to do so, I would find somewhere else if you are looking in Xi'an. And Yes the Hotel is only 1 level in a high rise Building on the 9th Floor, the Reception is located next to the lifts with a desk in the hallway. Beware of this place -5 / 10 (China Ratings)
Staff can't speak english,
Great location, walking distance to the Muslim market, bell and drum tower. Shopping and stores were very close. It was quiet.
Rather than a "Hotel" it was a 8th floor of a multi-floor building. Apparently each floor was a different "Hotel". The halls were dark and the room was OK. We decided that we would look for another hotel on our next trip to Xi'an. Staff had difficulty with English.
We hired tour guide who took us around different historical places. We enjoyed the shopping very much and got some great deals on some luggages and electronics around the muslin streets market.
Didn't really like the hotel experience. The hotel took 3 floors out of a tall building..no name outside. The owner pick us up at the train station and took the subway to the hotel. Staff didn't speak any english..hard to communicate. The room was an apartment partly converted into hotel rooms. Small hot water tank that was leaking when we arrived. The toilet and shower are next to each other and toilet get wet any time you take a shower. You only get 2 smaller bath towels and 2 face towels. They were obviously quite worn out. Our non smoking room was quite smelly of cigarette smokes. When we checked out they radioed someone to check( common practice) our room for any damages or missing items. They didn't want to give us our 100yuan deposit back because of something that they were trying to explain to me. Like I said, communication was not good at all. They looked in the dictionary and wrote "facial towel pollutant pollution"". I asked for them to call the owner so I can get an explanation. When I talked to him, I told him what the girls had written down. He couldn't give an explanation and said maybe the face towel was dirty. I asked what did the girls told him before passing the phone to me. In the meantime, the girls had removed my 100yuans and gave it to me. The owner said no problem. So we left. Also one door across our room is another room converted into a massage parlor with a big signage infront of the doorway. Business runs until around 12pm.
no English speaking unfriendly staff, (only some English via phone by ? manager) internet and tv not working, refused to reimburse part of money and instead insisting to pay 5RNB for tissue my son used, difficult to locate hotel on 9th floor of high rising building without clear signage, very tourism unfriendly
The room was very good value for price and very close to everything. Although the staff spoke no English they tried their best to help us with our queries
Making a booking on here didn't seem to matter, I had received a discount on here which they didn't honour at the hotel. Trying to tell them I had a reservation was not working and I ended up paying their rate, it wasn't worth the hassle!
The location is excellent; right in the middle of the walled city.
The first room I was given was dark and sombre. The bathroom flooded when using the shower. The staff members were fairly blasé about service and did not speak much English (although they could phone an English interpreter). The second room was much nicer; bright and a bit bigger. I think it was the 'deluxe' room, although still quite basic in its amenity.
The location was great! I found the manager, John, to be one of the nicest and honest people I have met in all my world travels. He really was interested in making us comfortable. No English but they will call John for you to communicate. A side note Chinese hotel are rated differently - 3 stars are often 1 star hotels - I rate this a 2.5 stars. Lots to do in Xian around this hotel - we had a great view from the hotel.
The Location is great but the hotel is hard to find. It is located on the 9th Floor - there are other hotels in the same building - if you go in the wrong entrance when you go to the 9th Fl you will have to explore to find the check-in desk.
Our whole experience was a positive one. From booking the hotel, to confirming a pickup at the airport, being met by 'John' when we arrived, offered some tourist advice and getting a comfortable and functional room, we had no complaints. It's is a really good value for money option for budget travellers and it's location is excellent, being in the centre of the old city, within walking distance of all the key attractions in the old city. They also help us out with a driver for the next day trip to the warriors and an very early morning taxi back,to the airport.
Location was perfect. Room with kitchen. Computer and free internett on the room.
It is not good standard. Reminds me more of a youth hostel, then a hotel. Guess it was nice 20 years ago. It was ok to be a hostel.
First they gave us a room we did not book. Then they told us we should go to the "international floor" where we finally got the room we booked. All in total the check-in took more than an hour. The room key card did not work every evening we came back to the hotel, the drain in the shower worked miserably and when we checked out they even charged us RMB 20 for the soap we used (even though there was no price on it). I would not recommend this hotel at all.
Price & complimentary Taxi/Metro with Meet & Greet
Cold shower, wet room, road noise & corridors were not clean & very dark!
location, only the location
everything, except the location. Staff speak no English. The hotel basically has no facility, the breakfast is TERRIBLE, don't try it. The hotel is not clean, the room is in poor condition (there's even no toilet paper).
1. difficult to find reception (official address states 6th floor, actually at 9th floor). 2. no one speaks english at the reception. 3. no credit card. 4. carpet durty, floor of bathroom with standing water after shower.
Xian is a wonderful city, where there is a lot to see and experience. The hotel i situated in the middel of the center of the town.
The hotel was not that nice, but there were 3 large beds in the room. It was almost impossible to find the hotel, since is has another name than Xian Central Plaza Hotel. The staff did not speak any english.
the room is spacious, tidy and close to the subway station and shopping. The hotel agent Jon Te came to the station to pick us up and we all travelled to the hotel by metro. otherwise we will never find this place.
staff doesn't speak a word of English. No service at all. The hotel don't have a ground entrance and it is situated inside a commercial building. not easy to located.
