Excellent location, just one block to Nanjing road and 2-3 blocks to People´s square. Many shops and restaurants in the neighborhood.Very silent room, good shower and soft bed/pillows. Clean room and bathroom. Fast free internet.

Poor lights in the room, almost impossible to read. Front desk staff should be more friendly. Janitor was not able to call a taxi.

I liked the location of the hotel. Located right at the east Nanjing road and within walking distance to the subway stations and the people square. The hotel is also surrounded by many restaurants and shops.

I booked a smoking room in the business floors for the 'view' but all I got was the back side view facing an apartment building and it was a non smoking room. They finally provided an ashtray to me and told me I could smoke in the room! But the view was not changed. The bed was also very uncomfortable. With too much walking during the day, you want to get back to a comfortable bed and have a good night sleep. On the contrary, they mattresses were very hard and you would wake up with back pain. The shower and the sink were also clogged and the maintenance guy was someone that could not speak english and kept insisting that it was 'normal'!! There are many other hotels right near by. I wouldn't stay here next time I visit shanghai

They had to have WIFI. The internet connection is cable.

The most thing I like is the location where it is in centre of the city.

The prices where al little expensive.

It was very central to shopping and the wholesale markets which we were interested in. Easy walking distance to alot of attractions. Great.

Hotel was great we found the beds very hard maybe that is a china thing as they have been hard everywhere we stayed.

Very convenient for town, not too noisy at night. Good breakfast, really helpful bellboys. We would stay again.

Superior rooms were almost superior, but not quite! But otherwise no complaints.

Location, location, location, contiguous with Nanjing Road East & West downtown Shanghai and only a few blocks from the financial district. This hotel is no less than a 4 star. Staff spoke good English, was attentive and willing to provide needed services when asked. It is more cost effective for arriving travelers to take shuttle bus downtown for modest price and then take taxi to hotel, about a 75 percent savings over paying for cab from airport to hotel. Excellent guest room quality with all the amenities. Rooms on north side face beautiful view of Nanjing Road and all its flashing lights and shoppers. Back side not such nice view. I chose this hotel mainly because of free Wi-Fi, and it was good, but not the fastest speeds always.

Although pricing is reasonable consistent with a 4 star hotel quality, budget travelers may find it too pricy, especially prices for food and drink. Guests on a budget, though, will find plenty of restaurants with quality food with very modest prices a couple of blocks behind hotel. Wi-Fi service always was available, but speeds were sometimes slow in early evening when everyone was most likely using the service. Even on holiday, I place high priority on staying connected, and I choose only hotels with free Wi-Fi with good consistent connection and speed. On a scale of 5, I give this hotel a 3.5 with Wi-Fi.

The wifi connection which is complimentary, location nearby to shopping district and metro, near to halal restaurant/cafe. Plus, nearby sightseeing stop which is just in front of the hotel. Attentive staff and well spoken english.

I stayed for 6 nights but no room upgrading.

Bad thing! The hotel staff in the reception don't accept to add the point to my card! Because the reservation was through www.booking.com and not direct with the hotel ? It's not fair?!

Not value for money, and simple things like not functioning WC were not attended for 3 days. Quite disappointing.
