The staff was very helpful, they helped me to book my train ticket (one of them went with me to the ticket office and stayed in the line with me). Another one did more than his best to get a taxi for me at rush time. The best hotel staff I never seen. The hotel is nice, the rooms are clean, wonderful breakfast.

We arrived at 11AM and was able to check in right away. Also we got an automatic upgrade to our room without extra charge. The breakfast was excellent and the location of the hotel was close to the lake.

Good location, nearby the famous lake. Breakfast is quite good. Anyway it is a fair choice, likely to stay again next time. We chose to upgrade to superior executive room per reception's recommendation, but the room is actually not big, and bathtub is quite small, not relaxing enough

Stuff was really helpful especially when it came to getting out of the city for non-chinese speaking travellers. Especially asisstant manager Adrian - really helped us to organise the tickets, getting to the railway station, etc. in general the service is good. Plus we were upgraded for free for executive room during the second time we stayed in the hotel (on the way back).

Location is good. The hotel staff are warmhearted. The rank of this hotel would not be 4 stars but actually 3 stars which should be reasonable against the room charge. The room seems to be provided as no-smoking room for non-smokers but smoking room for smokers because the room smelled smoke.

The staff here were fantastic - helping with all requests we could throw at them, helping hail cabs in the pouring rain. Jenny on reception even found out for my mother where their lobby art (little glass birds) were from and left a note to say as much. The buffet was excellent. This hotel is great central location few blocks to the lake but great value. Staff also prompted to become a frequent flyer for discount discount. I initially submitted a review for this hotel thinking it was another less satisfying hotel I stayed in, I contacted booking.com to have another GO to give positive feedback (Reviews are important), thanks Huachen. The beds in keeping with other Chinese hotels were very firm and light on padding (I like a firm bed but not this firm), perhaps that is because I booked the entry level room. Wi Fi access only in the Lobby again this seems to be the theme.

Location. Near the Xihu as well as the Yan an Road for shopping. Behind the hotel is the night market and some foot massage center Not a 5 star local hotel but they charge 5 star price. Hotel a bit old fashion as compared to another local hotel down the road. The executive floor on 18th floor was very noisy as the coffee house is on 19th floor. You can hear people walking here and there with high heels very early morning. It stopped about 9+. Guess its the waitress.

The hotel is a short walk from the beautiful West Lake. The night market is located just behind it. It was very close to shops and restaurants. The rooms were clean and spacious and the little extras were welcome ( we were given traditional moon cakes during the festival, fruit baskets and bottled water). Will stay there again on my return trips. They were generally not fluent enough in English, making communication time consuming. If they had one good English speaking person available on a shift, they will be close to top marks as a hotel. Restaurant food was as adequate as buffet hotel food gets, but you have many restaurtants in the surrounding area to choose from.

The hotel location is not far from the tourist attraction (west lake) with quite reasonable price. The hotel managemant is quite efficient in preparing for the extra bed that we requested the next day without having to be reminded. Booking.com website does not have the facililty to allow booking for extra beds during on-line reservation. As for the hotel, the room was quite small for deluxe double room. The beds were the standard size beds and not the large single beds that we were expecting. Services such as buying train tickets for their foreign customers especially who cannot speak Chinese, should be provided by the hotel. It was really a challenge to buy bullet train ticket at the train station.

Jenifer at reception was very helpful. She speaks English very well and know a lot about the city. She can advise the best way. Also the breakfast was good, many choises including western food, which is very seldom in here. During our stay they had a promotion of giving of well knowned artists art work. You should pay only for frame. As they say, they want to promote their artists internationally. We went to the shop, and they offered us the ... some kind of thing, which any 5 years kid can do. It is an aquarel with no meaning and it seems that they (local artists) put no time to create it.

The location of this hotel is very good. You can see the lake in the morning from breakfast cafe at 19th floor. The lake is 10 minutes walk from this hotel. Calfur is about 20minutes walk. You can find night market and foot massage shops about 1-2 minutes from hotel.

Great breakfast, beautiful rooms, overall a really great place to see and 10 mins from the west lake. Booked a massage at the spa, however we were walked across the street to the 'full body massage' establishment instead...my mom and I in same room and the massage was ok (not great) but my sister and her friend were in another room, and there was some questionable things happening apparently....hotel was great but skip the massage:)

Beautifully appointed, spotless room. Well thought out. The quietest elevators I have ever experienced. Excellent breakfast. The staff at the front did not speak enough english for an international hotel. The hotel should have some rooms for Westerners who wanted softer beds
