Modern luxury can be enjoyed at Park Plaza Wangfujing Beijing, within 1.5 miles of Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. It is only steps from Dengshikou subway station (line 5).
Score from 883 reviews Excellent
Ideally located just over half a mile from the famous 700-year-old Wangfujing Street, Prime Hotel has 5 dining options, an indoor pool and free parking.
Score from 1784 reviews Very good
In a central location in Beijing’s business district, pentahotel Beijing is a 2-minute walk from the 2 subway lines at Chongwenmen Metro Station. It features a business center.
Score from 1360 reviews Good
Centrally located in one of Beijing's typical Hutongs, 161 Hotel has easy access to attractions and transportation services. It is a 5-minute walk from Dong Si subway station and has free Wi-Fi.
Score from 1122 reviews Very good
Bad english Weird pricing, have to pay attention for additional costs Bad scammers outside inviting for hidden high costs for tea
The location is great and hotel is clean and spacious. The staffs are friendly and helpful.
The beds might be a little hard for me.
The location is excellent! We literally lived in btw the forbidden city and the shopping district wang fu jing. transport was so convenient and the traffic was excellent! Best thing is that there is a convenient stall and a few pretty decent small restaurant across the road from the hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Wifi was not functioning at full speed until the last day. I booked for a family lounge for 4 ppl but most of the things found in the room are for 2 ppl. For some reason, it is more exp than what was stated when I book the hotel online
Very helpful staffs , good location, easy to access everywhere,
Helpful and friendly staff!
Very clean. Staffs are very helpful. Rooms are nice.
Not many sofa or seats around the lobby.
Maintenance of facilities
We had a Fashion Suite for the weekend. The room was large, clean, comfortable and stylish. We chose it for the bathtub and it was lovely and huge. It isn't a spa, with no jets. The water pressure is good and there was no trouble filling it. The bed was firm but comfortable. We didn't try the breakfast (extra 92 RMB/person) so I can't comment. Staff seemed efficient and checking in and out was straightforward. The reception staff do speak good English. Really quite slick.
Really nothing but here a few observations. It is a decent location but not really close to any subway stations, a bit of a walk. I think it said there was a balcony but there isn't. The "view" is just across the street but that was fine. The heating seemed unresponsive to our settings. Perhaps I don't know how to set it properly but it seemed a little cold the first night and a little too warm the second. I sometimes wonder if the in room controls are just to give the illusion of autonomy, as I've experienced this before. Some of the towels and robes were a little worn but they were clean and perfectly good really and I'm reporting it, not complaining at all.
- location - quietness
- no international TV channels - hard bed
nice bathroom reading area next to lobby location staff speak english a lot of power socket in room wifi anywhere
Location location location. Right on the east side of Forbidden City, 5-minute walk to the Wongfujing shopping district and night food market. About 10-min walk to the nearest subway station (Tiananmen East), which is quite central. Staff was extremely helpful and spoke good enough English. I asked them to borrow the reception phone to book a massage, and after I hung up they asked me where I found the massage place, and he said there are a lot of "black market" massage places in the city. I thought that was very thoughtful. Right across the street there are a number of local restaurants which all look very good. We went to the same one for breakfast and had delicious buns, noodles, congee, etc. We had breakfast at the hotel on the last day and that was very nice as well. Beside the hotel there are a number of touristy shops to buy your typical Beijing candy souvenirs. On the way to the subway there are also a lot of shops and local eateries.
Despite the contemporary design of the hotel, the room was not as clean as I had hoped. Floor was a bit dusty and bathroom had a bit of mildew. Nothing too bad, but also not immaculate.
I have been there 4 times. Room are good, wifi excellent, staff helpful, clean warm in winter, cool in summer. The only hotel with a quiet air-con in the whole of China.
Breakfast isn't great. The restaurant closes far too early (business days are long). Go across the street from 8pm.
-Staff was excellent, helpful and friendly. -Great location. Close to everything you need. -Stayed for 3 nights and reasonably priced. I would definitely stay at Hotel Kapok again.
-Bed was hard and had a lump in the middle but I still managed to sleep well. -Shower tiles on the wall needs a scrub to get rid of moulds between the cracks. -Bar fridge was not cold enough.
Cost of everything plus, Conveniene of walking to Forbidden City, Teanamen Square, shopping and food!
People drive crazy!
Location is excellent. Size of bathroom is good. Cupboard storage capacity is ample.
Hotel claims to be four star. It is certainly not better than three star. Though bathroom size is good, bed room is small. It gives a congested feel. There is no computer table or chair. Wi-Fi is pathetic.
Great location, staff were helpful and this hotel was in walking distance of good restaurants , the subway and to some tourist sites
In the evenings very dificult to grab a taxi. The stuff is not willing helping you in getting one. They just shrug their shoulders and tell you it is not possible.
tried to sell us a tour falsely telling us the price of doing our own tour
I lost my passport and visa whilst in Beijing. If it weren't for the ever so helpful staff at Hotel Kapok i would have been lost. The wifi service was excellent in all rooms. The staff all speak great English. Highly recommend this hotel.
Breakfast (a little bit expensive but good variety), position (very very close to forbidden city)
personnell does not speak very good english, sometimes it is difficult to communicate. anyway they try to be helpful; rooms could be cleaner.
Location Hôtel modern and clean Excellent value for money Supportive staff
Wifi not functioning very well
The room was large and clean. The staff were very helpful, helped us make calls to our tour company. They allowed us to use their computer. The breakfast buffet was very good.
The wi-fi service is very poor. Could not get connected very well. This is the case in most of China.
worth every penny you spend, as forbidden city and tiamenn square is walking distance from there
Staff wonderful especially Leo and Simon at the reception desk. Stay here just to experience their welcome and helpful attention. The room I had was first class with a window opening to an exterior space with table, chairs and bamboo garden atmosphere. This hotel is exceptional in every way at a fair price. I will come back.
very good experience for our wedding anniversary thank you for all your arrangements thank you for your letter as a special surprise
Wifi kind of slow
