Only Intercontinental gives a reminder of the former peace of Lijiang - this too only a reminder when you see the scrum for breakfast

The staff were fantastic.
The staff were fantastic. In particular the manager Joye accommodated every request we made and did it with a smile and genuine sense of friendship.
We needed some complicated forward planning and both travel and accommodation reservations to be made. Mr Joye assigned a very nice, intelligent and competent young lady named Cassie who did an amazing job and we are now traveling again with all of her advice and recommendations proving to be excellent.
We would throughly recommend using this, and most of the staff speak English.

It was a nice ancient town to walk round and was very picturesque.
The good thing was that it was car free. Unfortunately the shops sell most of the same things. The places to visit around Lijiang were easy to visit by car.

Lijiang is a wonderful town.
Lijiang is a wonderful town. A great place to get a glimpse of China's past. The Local Naxi people are colourful and friendly. Beautiful sights all within walking distance of the Old Town. Highly recommended.
Great Yunnan traditional food in the Old Town at "Yun Xue Li" (Yunnan Snow Lijiang) - 云南省丽江市古城区七一街兴文巷95号
A great vegetarian buffet (at only 18RMB per person) in the new town is Auspicious Vegetarian Restaurant Building 6, Jinkai Plaza Complex Building, Gucheng district. This is about 10 minutes walk from the North gate of the Old town.

The Old Town is ok for a walk through, but it's really touristed. The original old town is still there, but it's not that will maintained. If you're going to higher altitude, use it as a stop over.

Lijiang is a very clean and nice city, with many beautifull streets, Everywhere it has colourfull decoration like lanterns, umbrella's or flowers. It is a great place to take pictures.
The streets are almost completely car and bike free, making it a safe place to wander around with your family. There are many restaurants, shops and bars. Many places also have live music.
Around Lijiang also have more quiet places, with nature, mountains and the valley.
Service at the Pullman Lijiang was fantastic! Emily at the front desk went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed! She checked on us throughout our stay making sure we had even we needed and even inquiring if we needed breakfast delivered to our room. She even put together a safe trip package for us when we were leaving to go home which included a mask, antibacterial wipes etc. We would without a doubt stay there again. This was our first time at a Pullman Hotel but definitely will not be our last!
This accommodation is located very close to the North gate which is very easy to access from the main road. There’s also local tricycle service to deliver the luggages to this place( not free). The other entrance leads you the old town, very easy to find restaurants and shops.
The place is very clean, cosy and nicely decorated. The accommodation staff was very helpful about providing information and and helping us to book a tour, rent a car. We had very good experience at Jianshe Inn.
I travelled in December and I loved the cozy atmosphere of this well located room, with its big comfy bed, electric blankets, heater and tub! The overall atmosphere of the inn is beautifully charming and rustic (like the city of Lijiang itself). Most of all, it was the kindness and hospitality of Xixi, the owner, who went above and beyond to accommodate me by couriering my pre-flight covid test results to the inn and helping me ship some things home. Outstanding all around !
Lijiang being the number one touristic spot for Chinese. Eden court became a welcoming refuge of quietness in the middle of an active town.
The owner was most welcoming offering us tasty rice noodles for breakfast cooked by her Ayi and sharing with us her knowledge of the area as well as life as a business owner in the town. The guesthouse has a nice style fully designed by her.
It all summed up to feeling as a visit to an old friend's house rather than a stay in a hotel.
The Hotel has a nice position in Lijiang old city, it is close to the water, one of the main shopping streets and not too far from the edge where there is a parking lot. The hotel itself is beautiful, it has a nice inner garden and beautiful rooms. Just outside the hotel there is a street with lanterns and a small bridge over te water, this makes it a popular spot for taking pictures. The staff is very helpfull and always there to offer tea, coffee or something to eat.
Modern and edgy design. Breakfast was relatively cheap at 120 RMB, and could either enjoy it at the hotel or go to the InterContinental directly opposite. The breakfast at the IC is better. Could use the gym and swimming pool at the IC - literally a 2-minute walk only.
Staff were very friendly.
Location is just by the South Gate so very convenient for accessing taxis and for walking into the Old Town.
We had a fantastic stay at Mama Naxi. It’s run by a lovely family who helped us organise our activities around Lijiang and also picked us up and dropped us off to the airport. I moved my dates around a couple of time and they were very flexible. The location is great, about a 10 minutes walk outside the old town, with lots of food options nearby. I’d highly recommend this guesthouse!
This is a beautiful boutique quaint gem of a place in Lijiang. It has a stunning view from the dinning room window of the rooftops in Lijiang. It is perfectly located, right in the middle of the Old Town Lijiang. The staff of this hotel is friendly, helpful and with a "I can help you with that" attitude. It was wonderful to spend Christmas here.
The hostel located on the hill which is 10 mins walking from the Old town. As i dont mind climbing on the hill everyday, I love that peaceful location, especially the stunning view from the balcony. There is a washing machine that you can use with a little fee ( CNY 10 per time I think ). Price is cheap and Staffs are very nice.
The best place in Lijiang. Jessy is an amazing host and will make your trip to Lijiang and Yunnan magical and super easy. In China there's nothing better than having a great local host. She even helped us after we left Lijiang and we were lost on a trail in Tiger Leaping Gorge. Highly highly recommend!!!
We loved our stay here. The staff were so friendly and George was particularly helpful with all of his English help like booking trips and translating things. The hotel was clean and a convenient location. The showers were great and large enough for my very tall partner. Absolutely recommend.
The bedroom was comfortable and clean, the personnel is really welcoming and nice, happy to hel if needed, the localisation is great not to far to the old town but enough far to be out of the crowd and the noises. The hotel was really nice and quiet, we recommend!
Hotel manager was so nice and helpful. Gave me some suggestions and a map of Lijiang which areas to go and which places to avoid because of crowds. The hotel is in a quieter area of old town and it feels nice after the bustle of everywhere else.
It is a beautiful property with a wonderful historical charm but still very comfortable. Being able to walk directly out of the hotel into the old town was very convenient. Other shops nearby such as a chemist, Starbucks etc.
