Novotel Beijing Xinqiao    

The room was very good, well equiped and with a good view through the very large window. The Hotel has a great location, just in front of the subway station, near the hospital, shopping malls, restaurants, etc..

We tried to have a massage but the communication was hard (the staff speaks very poor - if any - english). The SPA was in the basement and the entrance looks and staff weren't very welcoming. By phone, it's almost impossible to ask for anything. If you're lucky, you might find someone at the reception that speaks english (fairly).

Tour booked by hotel was amazing, room big and really clean a d comfortable.

More English speaking staff would be great, I'd say 30% speak English but all are friendly.

The location is perfect to explore the city, the breakfast has a good variety, staff is friendly!!

Location is most than perfect, is near of all tourist atractions, just 1 min from the subway,breaKfast buffet was huge and perfect

On the whole , it was a comfort stay. Lobby restaurant was nice , we were vegetarian , and they did manage to cook for us some vegetarian rice.After long Beijing sight seeing days , it was certainly very welcome at the late hours. Our thanks to the restaurant's - kitchen staff.

1) Our room had no window. Sure , I knew about it when booking. Since , we stayed 3 nights , we were hoping that we may have upgrade , which didnot. 2) Carpet / floor , need to cleaned more better , specially on the wall sides , I know access there is not very good to the cleaning staff , but it's necessary.

Not a dislike... Some areas were < Tired < Could do with a spruce up.. Top location. Not enough venue brochures on attractions ( the venue cards not much help) and maps not very accurate.

We staied in the hotel for 3 night, i did not find anything really bad about this hotel. We had standard room,little warm but aircondition cooled it down after short time, we only had a small window due to corner but that was ok beucase we were out most of the day.Breakfast was good lots of choice,little too busy but you can expect that from a large hotel.Staff helpfull. We had a masage in spa, excellent! Hotel is very close to the old centre,we walked 15-20 min. Subway stop in front of the hotel. I liked everything about the hotel.

Very old, dirty, breakfast absolutely discusting. Cutlery, glass and tablecloth were dirty and the food horrible. My second day I had to go outside for breakfast. Booking shouldn't recommend this hotel!!it is not a 4 star hotel

High standard of comfort and facilities common by members of Accorhotels family

Excellent location and very helpful staff. Had a tour desk that was able to arrange a trip to the Great Wall and the Ming Tombs for us. Currency exchange on site was very useful and gave a good rate.

Central location meant no pretty views from the window but we weren't there for that!!

Rooms are spacious and clean; comfy bed, nice bathroom, mini bar fridge. The buffet is also very good with everything you could want. Walking distance to Tianamen square and the forbidden city if you like walking or the subway is literally on the doorstep! Overall a pretty good hotel!

However, there were just a few small things that could really take it up a level and would have made our stay much more pleasant. The rooms are stifling hot (I am the most cold blooded person and I was hot) as the air conditioner is turned "off" in winter??? We had to actually change to a room with an outdoor facing window that we could open. Although only 20 yuan, they made us pay extra to do this which we found quite stingy! The Chinese restaurant served us two meals, 15 minutes apart and the second was cold when it came? We, had it re-heated and still cold? We complained and they said they would reheat it again?!! This is not hygenic and not of 4 star standard! They tried to make us stilll pay for the meals and it was only after sitting there for 20 minutes they said we could just pay for our drinks, which came to $15 for three soda waters (they actually made us pay $1 fpr lemon)! No doorman to carry luggage either. Its the little things you remember and I think it was lacking a 4 star standard but overall pretty good.

The location is excellent, Chongwenmen subway station is on the door step very convenient for city tours by subway which is the quickest way of transport if you want to get aroung the whole of Beijing.

The hotel's entrance to reception desk feels like a sjopping mall where a load of people are running after their business no personalised feel to it. You could be a total stranger with no booking at all and you can wander into the hotel and no body will notice your presence. I have made a mistake of booking the room without the window B476 smells damp and horrible when you get up in the morning feeling stuffed up your nose with a headache. To be honest, it was the cheapest room on offer on booking and you get what you pay for but I know you can get a lot better room for the same price in a different hotel but it depends on how impirtant your proximity to a subway station is?

Location was very good, right outside the metro station. It is also behind/beside a hospital. My room (Superior) was clean and tidy. It felts spacious as well. Based on other feedback, I requested for the newly renovated Tower B and I was not disappointed. Breakfast had a pretty decent variety.

I get very bad room B202 , I live like in washing machine all night work machine on next room. I can't sleep.COCKROACHES.
