15 min walk to tube
Excellent location, very helpful and friendly staff. Very personal services from staff. Excellent breakfast buffet, floor manager offers us special treats at the breakfast buffet.
May need some modernization of the hotel rooms and corridors.
Location, value, and the size of the hotel.
The privacy of the bathroom (You can see almost everything inside from the bedroom through the semi-transparent curtain in the bathroom)
The staff were very obliging and prompt.
Smell of cigarettes in the hall ways. Heating in the rooms cannot be adjusted well enough to make the room comfortable.
1.The location is great, it's very conveniece. 2.Room space is quite big.
1.Wifi signal is really weak. 2.We booked a room with river view, but when we arrived...half of the view is blocked by buildings.
great view of the other side of the city. good location. comfortable bed. clean room
generally pretty poor staffing, Service center for stationaries was poor... my Chinese was very limited so i cant really complain when i got matches when i asked for sellotape, but the service was poor as I was constantly passed between service center and reception
Walkable distance to Metro
Good location next to the Orient Pearl Tower and near the modern Shopping Malls. Just a few minutes walk from Metro station.
The high price for breakfast buffet
the position the comfort
The Hotel was very good very clean and comfort the staff were really helpful and respectful. Free WiFi and very good. when i was there it was my birthday, they brought me a gift and birthday card, which was awesome surprise.
they do not have airport and fair shuttle.
This is the 8th time I have stayed at the hotel. The rooms are always very clean, the staff are very helpful and the location is excellent. I will definitely be staying there again.
Great location with superb views of the financial district. I had a room with garden view - it's less expensive than the same room with river view and I'd say the view is better. The room is clean and comfortable with a large bed and great bathroom. The cash exchange machine they have in the lobby was quite the life saver.
Rooms look great but other hotel areas are a bit dated. The carpet in the hallways has probably been there since the 80s. TV quality is really poor but you do get BBC and HBO on top of all the Chinese channels so that's something.
Beautiful setting and beautiful rooms at a reasonable price. The staff is kind and helpful.
Like many Chinese hotels and restaurants, much is about the illusion of being great, not actually being great. For example, they did not actually have the red wine on their wine list. The night we were there they could not make and supply the cocktails on their cocktail list. If you are planning to attend their buffet, get there early as the good stuff will be quickly gone and not resupplied. As with much of the Pudong area, getting a taxi quickly and promptly is often a problem. Good luck!
I loved almost everything.
The only thing that I didnt like is that I arrived sick, and there was no medical assistance at all and the stuff didnt care about me, even though I was almost fainting.
Almost nothing to dislike about this place. A truly luxurious hotel in the heart of Pudong's business district. In fact, the hotel is inside the convention center, a fact that would have been useful to know when I was trying to find it at 10pm. Facilities, staff, comfort and cleanliness were all top notch. I had a fantastic view over the Huangpu river! Easy walk to everywhere.
The 15% service charge. I have not stayed in a hotel anywhere else in the world that asks you to tip them for the privilege of using their hotel room. A couple of other tiny quibbles. The business district is a bit dead at night, so this location might not suit those seeking the great Shanghai night life. Also, the former pedestrian tunnel under the river, which conveniently surfaces right at the hotel, has now been converted into a ridiculous 'sightseeing' trolley ride that costs y50 each way to the Bund.
took business trip back to hometown. however cannot sleep at home then I chose this grand hotel. it was really located at bund. I would say it has a perfect location.
the breakfast seems not as luxury as it should be. not too many options.
- 30seconds away from the main attraction of Shanghai, "The Bund". - Infront of the entrance door is the entry to the "Shanghai Sightseeing Tunnel".
- Poor English
great location bang in the middle of Shanghai within easy walk to shops and metro, may have a long wait for a taxi on the street but staff at hotel will get you a taxi, i was traveling all over the city and taxi best way to get around, WiFi good in the hotel and free.
The location near the Congress center. Excellent Fitness facilities.Excellent food at the restaurant in Floor 10.
The bathroom had some items mal-functioning. The coffee and tea at the café were terribly expensive, and the cakes, expensive too, tasted and felt like nylon.
Comfortable bed with good pillows, linen and towels. Clean room, ample space. Lots of useful extras such as iron, umbrella etc.
Having to wear a swim cap in the pool. Breakfast too expensive for those who just want coffee and cereal or croissant. Our magnificent river view was partially blocked by the building in front.
