1. Booked a double bed but given twin beds 2. Cannot follow instructions to item #1 above. 3. Small room compared to Penta Beijing for same price. 4. Location not central 5. Hard to get taxi to airport and hotel staff dont bother to assist.
1.the location- so convenient for the metro and Pudong Airport on line 2; close to Zhongsan Park 2.the relaxed atmosphere 3.the breakfasts 4.the staff
The poor soundproofing inside the hotel between the rooms
Nice and carefree atmosphere, a mix of guests from local n overseas
Catering choice is so limited n never change !
Good location close to metro with friendly, helpful staff. Shanghai is huge so it's difficult to be close to everything, but proximity to a metro interchange station was important for me. It was a good choice for my first visit to the city.
Expensive bar and restaurant.
good bar with great selection beverages clean room helpful and English speaking staff
small bathroom crowded sunday brunch high prices of bar and sunday brunch (for a buffet)
Actually nothing, just the lobby is somewhat "cool"
Breakfast was poor Lobby everytime crowdy The hotel fits just for younger people who likes less comfort and this kind of coolness, not my taste
Free atmosphier, easygoing staff
everything works extremely well. Great value for money
Good location Friendly staff
Unpleasant odor in room (due to cigarettes)
Metro station right around the corner, with nearby places including a convenience store to buy food etc Front desk staff were pleasant and helpful.
It was just out of the way enough to make returning mid-day impractical. Lacked sitting area in room, which was present in the Beijing penta. The biggest issue was one night after 3am, a man came straight into the room while we were asleep. When we awoke he left. We reported it to the reception the next morning but they weren't able to give us any details as to what had occurred (If it was hotel staff who made a mistake [Although he did not appear to wear a uniform or have a trolley]). It was not until later that we were told it had been a member of staff despite the no uniform and lack of reporting it to the front desk. It made the rest of our stay uneasy and despite having been awoken we were only given a half-hearted apology by the manager.
Fresh, light, location, kind/supportive/servicinded-personnel, elevator to room/reception/lounge perfectly inspiring to a dish or refreshment and view at to large screen. I actually lived closeby an freqvenly visited the launch before I moved in. Looking on a month stay and likes it. I'm a none smoker and this is well respected and doesn't interfere with my decision in a very good way.
Designer chair looks good and is comfortable but the angle legs hits my toes at least 5 times every evening. Quite annoying
The hotel is convenient located, about 7 minutes from the metro station and a few minutes walk from Zhong Shan Park which is a must visit for visitors to Shanghai. It has several gardens and a museum. Several restaurants are close by.
Nothing. That was what I expected from an economical hotel.
Friendly staff，comfortable beds and nice environment. In addition，the bar on the ground floor is pretty good！
A little bit noisy in the corridor at night，but it's not all the hotel's fault any way.
love everything here !
Good location close to Zhongshan park, lovely decoration and atmosphere on the first floor where the restaurant/bar/breakfast is located. Comfortable room despite the small size.
Bathroom a bit tight, very inefficient staff at the 1st floor restaurant...
The lady at the reception was amazing (Karen) two thumbs up to her...
staff nice and helpy ... relatively quiet
expensive for a simple room you can have executive suite a couple of metro station away wifi work in corridors
Good location. Good internet service. Friendly staff. Room was relatively clean.
Music in the reception was loud. Requested for non smoking room. Unfortunately, the room still had cigarette smell. Informed the staff and they attempted to rid the room of the odor.
The cleanliness of the hotel and the value for money. The staffs are courteous and friendly and behave much more better than some 5 star hotels
almost perfect. It is my top choice in Shanghai no matter at what rate class
The volume of the music during breakfast is too loud. It is a bit annoying when you have just gotten up. I think people like a nice pleasant environment for breakfast
Location, environment, Sunday brunch
Lounge, music, decoration, food.
Smell on the floors and in the room
Very friendly, welcoming staff. Excellent breakfast and service. Very western-European hotel. Will certainly use this chain of hotels again throughout the world.
Nice atmosphere, good bed, clean, friendly personnel, good breakfast, perfect location close to metro.
The restaurant and bar was a good layout and quite relaxed Eupopean style. Rooms was adequate and quite nice design.
The hotel has a funny smell in some areas and the room. Needs some air freshening system. I asked the reception for a car parking permit to take my car out of the car park and she said did not need. Of course try and take car out and it is needed. Another 20 minutes to return to the reception after the car park attendent had to call the reception. I was not happy. The level of cleaning in some areas of the room was not so good. Black hair found on the carpet and bath sealent very tired. I had asked for a quiet room but got one facing the road which was quite noisy at low floors.
