The ambassor was very helpful in sorting out places to go and problems with myroom They allocated me the wrong room which was worth less than I had paid - no explanation was ever offered as to why |

They had a gentleman, who has worked at the hotel for 37 years, serve as Ambassador to English-speaking guests. He greets arrivals, offers them tea and acts as intermediary with Chinese concierges. Very welcoming. The lobby is gorgeous, location excellent, breakfast buffet amazing. We found the beds hard, though the pillows were comfortable and the room in the originial building was lovely. Concierge command of English could have been better. |

Felt that we were treated like we were the only people staying in the hotel. Position is excellent to get around Beijing The Concierge were not able to solve simple questions easily, not what I would expect from this type of service or this type of hotel |
