The location is ok, in the neighbourhood there is a lot of restaurants, and the subway station. Rooms are pretty ok.There is a huge terrace on the roof of the building.

We had a double room with a breakfast included. We thought it would be 2 breakfasts, but it turned out they gave us one card for breakfast to share. Although it's rather illogical they seemed to be ok with this absurd. They did not help us to order a taxi for the airport, but they were trying to propose us to use their service ( 150 CNY, normal taxi 100 CNY). They speak english but hardly.

The travelers information desk and the staff working there is great. Really helpful, really patient, great girl! The chef of the restaurant was good, breakfast meals looked great. They have pc's in the lobby and they provide washing and drying service.

The rooms were not cleaned well. The obvious places were ok (tables, beds) but if u look under the bed or behind the desk it looks like its been neglected for years. Bathroom was not cleaned well too, the second time I stayed there, there was fungus in the sink and around the toilet. The staff at the front desk only offered the cleaning lady to go and clean the room, but refused to do any discount of the room price, even though it is really inconvenient to clean a room while people's belongings are already set around the room. They offered free breakfast, which we decided to take advantage of, only to find out that the breakfast meal is set and we cannot change it (nor change and pay the difference in the price, even though we are vegetarian and don't eat bacon!!!) After being angry with the girl at the front desk, I decided to walk away and just leave it be, only to hear her backtalk and making noises of annoyance behind my back. ( in another occasion the same girl refused to answer a simple question to a paying customer 1 minute after her shift was over). In conclusion, I think that the hostel staff needs to do a bit better work, and either lower the prices for the room, or give better service.

Our room was a bit cold at night in spring. Wifi didnt working.Its too slow anywhr in Saga.

Some toilet seat covers were loose. When we visited this hotel in early january rooms and corridors were warm, but dinning hall was uninvitingly cold.

For the price and to be so close to everything I highly recommend this hotel, we felt very safe walking the little alley it's down, and it felt like a real taste of china. You could stay in a large hotel but you might miss some of the things you see on just the short walk from this hotel to tienemen square or into the shopping district. Really enjoyed it

Great location. Great choice, I definitely recommend this place. I don't quite understand the bad reviews I read before coming here. I think it's a perfectly fine place to stay, good value for the money.

Some (not crucial) areas of the room were not very clean. The bathroom was not once cleaned during our 1 week stay (we wouldn't have minded cleaning it ourselves, but when backpacking I usually don't carry cleaning equipment!). I can't say this was at all a dealbreaker for us, though.

I've liked the bargaining with the receptionist to stay longer at the hostel. It's really near to a bicycle rent at very low prices. With bicycle, Beijing seems to be nearly small.

The cleaning which you paid the 15% of the reservation (not on booking, but at your check in) are inexistent! We have obtained it only after a really long bargaining to stay longer!

What I lived is close to the dorm of the staff. In the early morning, maybe 6 am or early, they speaked each other loudly. Thus, I cannot sleep at all.

The hotel staff was not so professional. They gave us the room key but the room was not cleaned yet. The bathroom and the toilet were not so cleaned. the breakfast was a bit expensive and not good value. the air bond was not working well. I won't recommend this hotel.

The location in the Hutong was authentic.

It is not because it is cheap that staff are supposed to shout out loud day and night. It was impossible to sleep more than 3/4 hours. The room was not clean. The ac was dripping on the bed. We informed staff, nothing was done so we moved the bed to avoid getting wet. The bathroom was disgusting. And we had a Double room with our own bathroom... Would hate to see the dormitory and shared bathroom!!!

The location was convenient. If it wasn't for that we would have checked out even if it meant losing the money we paid for the room. One of the Great Wall tours they book was fantastic.

The first night we didn't have hot water and had to use the public shower. We paid for in room facilities and weren't compensated. We had to take the filters out of the ac and have staff clean them because they were completely clogged and we had to replace them after. We also had to "fix" a fallen curtain rod so as to block the sun shining directly into the room. The bathroom consistently had pools of water due to ac hose draining. Website didn't say to bring towels and they only had hand towels for us. Staff did not clean the room except to empty the trash can. They only entered the room to bring toilet paper and fresh hand towels. They were not helpful with taxi service except to say to stand at the main street and wait for one.

We booked this a night in advance, already in Beijing. It is great value and a quite a big place. Quite a walk down the ShiJia hutong, so impossible to get a taxi to or from there (such is Beijing's taxi situation) but actually it's an enjoyable walk to either subway. The point is you probably won't find anywhere more convenient for the money in Beijing. Rooms were very clean and the A/C worked very well (important for me!), and the breakfasts were more than filling. The sandwiches are really tasty, but coffee expensive. Bring sachets maybe! If you want this area, don't bother reading loads of reviews, it never helps, just stay here and you'll get reliable value with no frills decor and an ok atmosphere.

The only towels available were small hand towels, which is fine if you're quite small. If you're not then I guess you can enjoy feeling like a relative giant.

Value for the money that I have paid, well I was caught by surprise when they asked me for a security deposit of 100yuan, anyway our stay relatively great and we'll definitely book again on this hostel.

Das Saga liegt in einem Hutong aber trotzdem recht zentral. Gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten rundherum für Low-Budget-Reisende.

Das Zimmer war feuchtkalt - und roch stark nach abgestandenem Rauch (das kann aber auch der Smog Beijings sein). Zudem nachts zielich laut, da Gäste über die flure laufen (ins Bad/WC) und die Türen knallen.

Muy cerca de la estación del metro, de la parada de buses desde y hacia el aeropuerto y en un agradable hutong típico. Buena calefacción y limpieza en los dos tipos de habitaciones que conocimos.

No es demasiado sencillo encontrar el lugar. Lo ideal es llevar la dirección escrita en chino para poder consultar cualquier duda a la gente de la zona.

近くにスーパーマーケットや食堂、中華まん屋に焼餅、中国風おでん屋と周辺だけでも結構遊べる。地下鉄5号- 線の灯市口が近くにある。天安門や故宮博物館にも簡単に行ける。地下鉄と鉄道を乗り継げば、万里の長城にも- 自力で行ける。北京首都国際空港からはシャトルバスの北京駅行きにのって朝暘門でおり、朝暘門南小街という- 通りを目指し、通りに出たら南に歩き、史家胡同という通りを右折すれば到着する。

ユースホステルが汚いというよりは、北京市内が空気が悪くホコリもすごい。その影響か室内にも多少ホコリが- ある。ユースホステルの問題というよりは北京の空気の問題のような気もする。
