The best thing about this hotel is the position. The second best is the friendliness of the staff. |

Size of executive rooms is good, lobby nice. Pretty good views from upper floors. Long queue to check in - slow service - disinterested staff. Hassel from sales people outside the entrance. |

Good location, large room. Poor level of service. No effort made by door staff to assist in calling a taxi despite the fact that at least two taxis always remain parked at the front door, apparently only interested in trips to Pudong airport. |

Excellent location in "true walking distance" to major attractions with a friendly and dedicated staff. Reception staff and porters do speak English and are helpful, professional and efficient. Very nice Sushi Restaurant in the hotel adjacent to the lobby with excellent selection of Japanese, some Chinese and Korean specialties. Very nice lobby / seating / cafe area. The only drawback is the "gym", which is really small and does not offer the opportunity for a serious workout. In summary, great value & clean and comfortable rooms, friendly and professional staff - will definitely come back! HM (USA) The gym! |

The executive suite was excellent and the room rate arranged by booking online through booking.com was extremely good value for many. I would strongly recomend this hotel and also booking.com for future hotel bookings. |

Good location, easy to walk to alot of the sights. Nice room at least on the executive floors. Staff was friendly and professional. Some say its hard to understand them but as long as you aren't ignorant enought to expect fluent english from somebody who's first language is a completely different one from english you'll be fine. Restaurants in the hotell were not so good. Breakfast was fine though. |

Free internet (including computer inside the room!). Big bath tube. Two TVs, one in the living room, another in the bedroom. Lack of snacks in the mini-bar. Not many international channels in the TV. Western restaurant doesn't have so many good options (but the room service has). |

Their room rate was good for the quality and size of a guest room. They has an independet bathroom that is separated from a toilet and powderroom by glass doors. I like the separation such as Japanese bathrooms. There are a wide bath tab and multiple showers in the bathroom. I asked to deliver a newspaper to my room from the third day, but it was not delivered. |

From Salvo Hotel it is possible to walk to The Bund (riverside) in 5 minutes, also the great shooping street Nanking Road is 5 minutes footway. In the hotel good mixture of chinese and international guests. For me it was perfect. In the neighborhood a few typical chinese streets. |
