Only one female reception staff member was polite during my second day of stay.
the reception staff member upon my arrival date. she was not polite with me.
Charges for food was too high. Moreover for a room for 2, it was told that only one person gets the breakfast. That's ridiculous.
The HBO on the TV
It was up a noisy side street
Good breakfast. Center located.
the view was nice
They did not call taxi 2 out of 3 times, we arrive very late twice. Only one elevator worked, Breakfast wasn't good The staff does not speak english (only 2 does and not well)
Location is only 5 mins walk from people's park. The rooms were spacious and had some modern features. Situated off the main road, so no traffic noise. Free high speed wifi. Good price for the location.
Room had quite serious mould patches, staffs English was not very good. The photos on the website were not entirely representative, making the hotel hard to find.
mould on the walls very uhealthy environment .felt sick following morning
The location is very convenient to the metro and the top of Nanjing Road.
The beds are very hard. Many westerners prefer a bed with a little comfort.
The Hotel is OK.
The bathroom was somehow dirty.
the position and the price the price for that position is really good. Probably one of the cheapest hotel in Shanghai
The room is stinky!! the wall to wall carpet stink as dirty feet! disgusting! and even the rest of the room is not clean and with mark of burn from sigarette everywhere!
Price, that it was close to a station and it had lots of stores closed by.
At the beginning they tried to "sell" an upgrade for 100 RMB extra, showing me very bad, small and bad located room at the beginning, with a really bad view, and after denying they told me a better one "just became available", so they gave a better one (sounded like a lie to me). We accidentally broke a plate and they charged me 20 RMB for that. But anyways we had a good staying at the end
the taxi drive is hard to find the entrance, because the entrance is inside of a alley
There was 2 lifts for 12 floors. Only one lift was functioning. Inspite of complaining on this, no actions were taken. The house keeping staffs are rude.
Good location, wifi works!
Excellent location in the 'older' part of Shanghai, with some rooms overlooking water but within 3/4 min walk of the new. So fantastic contrast. My room was a deluxe double so had great view of water, fantastic huge bed and lovely big shower.
All staff on front desk friendly but only some had good English, most really struggled with it. Only communal area was lobby and restaurant, so no bar or cafe.
1) The room is largely clean. 2) The facilities are relatively new. 3) The location is good.
1) The staff (one male staff) at the reception is not friendly. When we asked about the room type and the arrangement, he seemed very impatient. 2) The price can be cheaper for the facilities provided. 3) The pictures posted in the website do not match the real atmosphere there, which is somewhat disappointing.
Style of the room. Very close to metro and shopping.
Stains in the bathroom, carpet.
I really enjoyed the comfort of the bed and the relaxing shower, the room was clean and enlighted in a pretty way. The position of the place is strategic (next to west nanjing road and to the subway).
The staff at the reception hardly can speak english. Every half an hour a guy puts under your door many pieces of paper sponsorizing chinese prostitutes. -.-'
Still a good hotel, great location and most things work fine
Getting scrappy with no attention to maintenance. Desperately needs a paint in the rooms, and maybe a vacuum up the hallway. Needless to say it is slipping and just on the point of being too scrappy to bother with any more. Little things such as fridges not working, no safety deposit box... Just has slowly gone down hill, which is a shame as I have loved to stay there previously
first we make our booking from booking.com when we go to hotel they told us our room is to small and its better to have bigger room.. and they charge double price ..room they gave us smelling terrible ..than they change the room .. everynight somebody put naked woman pictures under the our room door ..we told the reception but nothing changed ..
The room was a suit and very reasonable. Decor was very up to date, luxury without being over the top. Near a station. The shanghai skyline lights were amazing.
Room we booked was not available on arrival and staff were unhelpful and spoke little english.
bathroom was awful and the rooms need some renovations
