Comfortable well equipped rooms Executive access is very worthwhile Executive lounge has fantastic view Excellent staff and customer service Great breakfast
The hotel has sold/leased all floors between 20 - 50 (its 54 floors tall i think) and therefore unless you have a premier suite (very expensive) your view is terrible!!! Housing complexes are taller than 20 floors. Completely ridiculous decision from this hotel which is called "skyway". they used to have other grades of room on more of the higher floors. Its now barely worth the money for the "view" from the premier suites as its comparable to cost of bund view hotels. - In addition, they have removed the bathtubs from the windows so for the rooms with a view, you can't see it from bathtub. It was a great feature previously. - Lastly, the tasteful decor seen in the photos (which was there 2 years ago), has been replaced with quite disgusting gaudy faux gold trim, and colored glass ornaments (like green glass candle chandelier things in the bathroom). Its now very similarly decorated as "chinese" 5 star hotels. This is NOT a good thing, but does seem to be common.
The hotel in itself is great.. A bit pricey on the extra services, but still..
The personnel is willing to help, but esp. at the reception they are limited in English and ability to decide and assist on even minor things. A better employee portfolio would make this hotel rock the world.
Strong odour of cigarettes in a non smoking room.
Large clean room
Everything! The room was spacious and very comfortable. All staff were excellent and helpful. Close to the metro station and lots of shops and eating places. Lots of interesting shops at Tianzifang (exit 1 from Dapuqiao station).
Nice place, amazing room and hotel, near to the metro station. Great
comfortable bed. slept well every night.
All the things are nice.
Every thing is ok
Modern clean hotel with very comfortable rooms, pleasant place to stay. Evening live music, rich and tasty breakfast. Many options to please your stay in hotel (sauna, pool, massage).
Long taking check in and check out. Some staff have little bit dificulties to speak english.
the food , staff were very cooperative and location is amazing
the furniture is old and not all the staff can speak english
Nothing but the name Pullman
Internet worked only sometimes and many pages including google were blocked! Dirty room, had to call the staff for cleaning! Had to change the room as AC did not work.Smell of cigarette smoke in their limousine! All in all not recommendable. Not worth going there.
Very good and clean hotel with spacious rooms and professional staff. Very good facilities.
Perhaps it caters more to the locals, as it does not have many western channels on TV. It only had 3 English language programs, which is a bit disappointing, as I come to Shanghai, amongst other things to watch TV with a bit more variety than what I usually get.
It's hard to refer to any disadvantages. Good location, not far from the city center and away from the overcrawded East Nanjin Road, near the underground station. Lots of shops, restaurants, supermarkets around. New furniture and equipment in the room, everithing is well designed and well working. Most of the staff speaks English, and it's rarely met in the hotels in China. There are good gym, saunas, pool. Huge king-size bed.
There should be more TV programm in English for the hotel which belongs to the international network. But it was not important for us, actually. Another thing, as many Chineese do, the consierge who had been asked by us about the address, sent us few kilometers away. The breakfast is quite expensive.
We booked a Suit, it was roomy, clean and very nice, bathroom was just OK, Breakfast was awesome, very big variety for Chinese, and for Muslims it is also enough. Swimming Pool is one of the best, Executive lounge was nice, and staff was very friendly. Everything was 5 star. WIFI was speedy, and connected everywhere.
Room was decent by Pullman standard, not the best, but decently comfortable.
Executive lounge - apart from the view of Shanghai from the 52nd floor, everything about the lounge was really the poorest I have experienced. Food, ambience, service - one is as bad as the other.
Great selection of food for breakfast. By default did not include gluten-free bread, but was no problem when asked for - it was on my table every day. Very friendly staff
Small and poorly equipped gym
I didnot like that I have always had breakfast on the 49 floor and now the breakfast was on the basement You should tell the klient that depending of what you pay for your booking you will be having breakfast accordingly the aircondition didnot work ok even after complaint
The location was great for our group, there were restaurants and bars nearby with the rest of Shanghai easily accessible on the underground system. The concierge were helpful when we needed help with tickets for the High Speed Train.
Room, interior, view, some stuff tried to be helpful but just sometimes indifferent and unprofessional
Stuff doesn't speak English, when we checked in we were not given the right information about executive floor access, we were honeymooners and had executive room and had no fruit plate in the room
Poor ventilation in room. Very hot in room even at 15 degrees!!!! Receptionist staff quality was bad. Poor English and had bad attitude. Disappointing. Have a silly policy where guests not just need to lock a deposit but need to lock room payment at same time. If you don't, you not allowed to use hotel services like room service, eat at restaurants etc.
The best qualities about this facility is the Breakfast is excellent... buffet was filled with variety both hot and cold. The location was good, right across the street from Metro line 9. The staff was efficient and spoke good English. The internet was good but the TV channels in English are limited to three channels. I stayed in the hotel for 10 days mainly due to what I previously commented.
The hotel is definitely not a 5 star property more like a mid 4. The executive benefits they promote are definitely not worth it... please don't waist your time spending for this service. The rooms need upkeep and the maids will try to never change your linens daily unless you demand it. The daily cleaning after your first night is poor. I would not spend more than $120 USA dollars a night for this facility and it should include breakfast.
Location, facilities and breakfast
Everything was ok.
