Sofitel Xian On Renmin Square    

Extremely good hotel and extremely good value for money. The best service we had ever. If you go to Xi'an don't miss the opportunity of staying at this hotel. Chose the junior suite which includes the executive lounge and you will have the treat of our life.

Cannot think of anything bad with this hotel.

The location of the hotel is very convient for the things that are to see in Xi'an and around Xi'an. Friendly staff and especially friendly chefs that had to cook for my daughter who needs a special diet.

If I have to find anything to improve, it is the temperature of the water in the swimmingpool.

Sometimes too fussy design

1) I had a very cosy room, however the hotel itself looks old and needs renovation 2) Room dining was excellent and delivered quickly. 3) Good location: close to the main street, shops, bank, etc. 4) The hotel has its own quite good restaurants.

1) The furniture, carpets and all the interior is old. 2) I asked to arrange a transfer from the airport to the hotel for me - the staff was not able to do that 3) after housekeeping there was a smell of chlorine in the bathroom

The room was very good. Lighting can be made a little brighter (individual taste). Staff are very helpful and professional!

The Club Lounge and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice and opens early. Our rooms were luxurious and spacious.

No quiet bar to relax at night. No coffee shop for a quick morning snack and coffee.

Customer-oriented service staff. Special mention to the receptionist who did the check-in with excellent manners. Services in general high- quality (also consergie was verz helpful and friendly)

Driver did not speak English so we couldnt enjoy the city tour as much as we expected in terms of understanding their daylife routines and customs.

The breakfast is great!

Well situated; very efficient and friendly check-in staff who for the most part spoke good English. The deluxe double room was value for money considering the comfort and design of the room and its facilities. There are some wonderful restaurants on the premises which give you a nice variety of cuisine to choose from.

The breakfasts were not that great - tea was cold and it was difficult to communicate with the waiters about this who could not understand English very well.

My superior room was very small

We would highly recommend paying the extra to have the use of the Sofitel Club. The staff were exceptional and the level of service is unsurpassed also the food and drinks during happy hour are all inclusive so you don't clock up bar bills and you could even not clock up dinner bills either.

The swimming pool is not really built for anything other than just splashing around in and the water is very cold.

the beds are terrible. they are too hard the coffee machine (free) in the foyer was out of water, and out of cups. even the manager could not sort this out

The room was confortable and beautiful. Very pleasant spaces. Good options of restaurants. Good location.

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel, made even more pleasant because we were offered an upgrade to a suite. Very comfortable and clean ambience with an elegant bathroom, the room was also equipped with a second small toilet. Everything was very functional with great attention to details, evident consequence of an attentive and professional management. One example above all, during our stay it was my wife's birthday and we were pleasantly surprised to find a cake in the room. Really a kind thought that we thoroughly enjoyed. All the staff was very welcoming and always helpful; some more than others, but all speak a good English and we had no problem in communicating. Excellent breakfast with varied offer, served by gentle and smiling staff.

The only negative point was the hardness of the mattress, but this is common all over China. They did, however, try to overcome this drawback by placing a thin pad over the mattress to make it softer.

Awesome Hotel :)

The hotel has a perfect location in Xi'an. The staff is very helpfull and the room and design of the hotel is fantastic. We had a fantastic weekend stay at the hotel.

The inside of this hotel is absolutely gorgeous. The staff spoke English and was eager to help. The room was very confortable. The best night's sleep we had on our trip to China. The hallway on our floor felt more like an art studio with pictures and large vases everywhere. We didn't want to leave!

Nothing!!

The entire complex where all Accor group hotels including Sofitel located is just lovely. Peaceful & with European charm. We stayed at the new wing & we really appreciate their kind gesture to upgrade us to suite since it was my wifes bday. Service was excellent. It indeed was a memorable stay.

The old wing is not good at all in comparison to new wing. So you must ensure to stay at new wing only

Very friendly and professional staff - we had a blocked toilet which was fixed immediately. Would definitely return should we be in Xi'an again.
