Good price and location
Hotel rooms do need a refurbish
Loved the beer garden. Staff were great and very friendly there
Everything is good
Everything! Staff were very friendly and try to assists as much as they could. Good location - metro is right in front of the hotel. Would certainly recommend this hotel.
Bath sink too slow
It was clean and tidy, Fairly good price and located adjacent to the subway. 10 mins far from Sanlitun bar street.
Internet conection was poor
Excellent location next to the Metro station and within walking distance of Sanlitun. Excellent facilities in the hotel, including efficient AC. Friendly and helpful staff. Swimming pool an spa.
Swimming pool and location
The beds were a little firm and the internet a little unreliable.
Decoration a bit old
Love this hotel as the rooms are big enough, the beds are comfortable, everywhere is clean, the staff are so helpful. The metro is directly out the front entrance if the hotel which is a big bonus!
On this occasion we booked 2 rooms and asked for twin beds (males in one room and females in another). However when we arrived we were told that this was not available and had to share double beds.
Staffs from front desk were very cooparative.
The hotel rooms are very old sometimes even dirty. The beds are uncomfortable. The staffs from the restaurant couldn’t speak English. We didn’t know if they didn’t see or they didn’t care when we called them to have some coffe or tea we should stand up or go to them. These were the main points.
Although I booked the non smoking room there as always the smell of cigerette.
the room was ok
the sauna and showers should be renewed the swimming and fitness area is too old and looks dirty the floors and the elevator is too dark
Very competent personnel with good English. Big rooms. Good equipment, including pool, sauna, hammam, bar, restaurant. Just off Dongsi Shitiao metro station.
Furniture can be a bit old, but it is very clean. Buy or bring a swimming cap if you want to swim. It is compulsory. The hotel sells caps, but at the high price of 60 yuans.
The breakfast is very good. They have different kind of fresh fruit, eggs, cereal, different type of yogurt, bakery and so on. The hotel is next to metro station. The transportation is very easy with this way and location is close to many tourist places. We took the Great Wall of China (New) and Mind Tombs tours from the hotel. It was a great and comfortable guided tour.
Everything in the room is very very old. Smells very dusty. The hotel is very big, some parts were renovated. We request to change our rooms. New rooms are available at smoking floor and smells very bad. The price is very high relatively the rooms and quality.
The service of the staff is excellent. When we informed our wifi didnt work properly they innediately send someone with a router just for us. The wifi is really fast. The lication is excellent, metro station just on the corner and san li tun area about 10 minutes walk. Relatively cheap price compared to other swissotels.
I think its an quite old swissotel based on the facilities and room, bathroom is quite small with a very small bath. This swissotel might not be the best they have but according to the room price it is definately worth the money
The location was good, the hotel had lot of space.
Couldn't lock the toilet door knob. The hole inside the toilet was a littlebit discusting same as the bathtub which seem to have aged with much of the things there. We came as a pair and I wrote that we wished for a kingsize ved as specified with the price (kingsize or two beds). They charged extra for it. They use whole floor-carpets which is in my opinion very discusting. The ac max was not enough and it was too hot in the room. For the money it was not worth it, the hotell has aged I believe. For westerners, europeans and others, this hotel would be fair to give a three star or upper two star standard. The price is also a bit overcharged, you probably can find better ones.
Excellent but expensive breakfast; helpful staff; convenient luggage storage
Booked a king bed but only two twins available; broken lamp that wouldn't turn off; finally changed to a king bed but was half the size of the room with the two twin beds; pool was small and had to buy mandatory caps.
I always stay at this hotel when I am in Beijing for the last 6 years. Subway station right out side the hotel, all Beijing is a few stops away. Staff are sweet, always wanting to help and make you happy. Rooms getting in need of a revamp, but still very comfortable, ask for a mattress topper if you find mattress to hard. Food in the main restaurant not bad at all, ate off the Chinese food menu. Will keep returning, never disappointed. Great price for a few nights stay. I recommend.
- First night: i tried to charge my phone and a fuse blew out. It took an electrician half an hour before my room had electricity again. - Second night: room door wouldn't open. After new key card was issued after 30 minutes I entered the room. When I tried to switch the light on, the switch with all connected cables fell off the wall. One hour work for the local electrian who waited in my room for spare parts for 40 minutes. - Third night: the worst and most overpriced massage I ever received. Supposedly the spa was blocked so she had to come to my room. After I refused the offer of "additional" services the 60 minute massage ended 15 minutes early. - After complaining about the above circumstances to the managed I received an apology and the promise that finally, after four nights, they'd change my bed sheets. After five nights, on check out, the linen were still not changed. That is far below the usual five star quality I expect in Swissotel branches.
Affordable 5 star Hotel in center of the city near San Litun.
Easy underground transport to the airport. Just one stop then airport express.
Standard of room for solo traveller is much higher than for the twin/family rooms.
helpful staff with excellent concierge service who will organise with map any location in beijing to avoid any issues with a taxi.
Did not offer the same level of amenities as the Andaz Hotel in Shanghai which offered free chocolate, soft drink etc to all rooms.
