Concierge: We had a plan for the evening including dinner and then a bar with a view to see the Bund. We asked the concierge to recommend some bars that were not clubs and relaxed. He recommeneded a members only club which we couldn't get into and a loud russian club. We ended missing the lights as we were going from one bar to the next in taxis.

The location was excellent for visiting Shanghai, with Jingan Temple metro outside the hotel. The hotel staff were polite and the rooms were modern, spacious and clean. There are plenty of good restaurants in the area.

I had to wait a long time to be checked in due to delay preparing the room. The staff were polite but I felt that they could have offered me a drink while waiting. The breakfast was ok, but basic and too expensive.

Staff is attentive to details, names, and needs of the guests a mile beyond.

Once you enter the hotel you already start to relax from the very calm atmosphere. The rooms are very spacious and the choice of colors materials and design is excellent. The pool and Sauna/jacuzzi area are wonderful and let you forget time and stress. The Restaurants food is excellent as well.

The Service in the jing an Restaurant was a little all over the place and I find the prices a bit high even that the quality is very good.

The stay at the Puli was perfect from beginning to end: wonderful, modern room with a unique and chic decor(increasingly difficult to find with cookie-cutter hotel aesthetics); fantastic food at the restaurant; and well-maintained and luxurious facilities. I won't stay anywhere else in Shanghai now.

Location was a bit further from the main sights than other hotels

Loved the design and the amenities, especially the fact that unlike all other hotels I've stayed at, the mini-bar in the room is completely included in the room rate!

Our check-in was delayed due to the government requirement of travel documents. My girlfriend and I live and work in Shanghai and decided to stay at the Puli for a couple of nights for a "staycation" and although this is a government requirement and outside of the hotel's control, it would have been really helpful if the hotel's registration confirmation explicitly mentioned this requirement. We had to go back to our homes to grab the necessary papers before we could check in. The staff never provided alternatives like letting us check into our room first and then allowing us to go get our documents.

The front office service is quite slow and cannot make decision, have to ask instruction thru phone all the time.

We had the afternoon tea included in our package , but the food was every day the same , same pastries , same sandwiches , ... Should be daily changed. gets boring after 2 days !

This was one of the best hotels I've stayed at, the service is impresive, the hotel beautiful and relaxing and the rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The bed is amazing! We stayed at one of the club suites, I'm so happy we went for the club, we got tea service every afternoon, free laundry service!, Breakfast, wi fi, discounts at the spa... Totally worth the price diference. Bottom line, we loved this hotel.

Everything about the PuLi was fantastic. My husband and I live in the city with our three children and took a much-needed long weekend retreat and stayed at the PuLi. The room was comfortable, modern and well-designed; the staff was beyond courteous; and the Club benefits were completely worth the extra money. I've been recommending it to everyone!
