Location is quite good The free internet connection was not available in the room. We were advised that because they have just finished the renovation the wire was not connected as yet. They hotel allowed us to use the connection for our laptop on the top floor. However; when I used their PC, they said it would be charged. |

The location of the hotel is very good, is 1 minute from the Drum & Bell Tower and the most sightseeing spots, the City Hotel Xian is near to the airport bus stop (within 5 minutes of walking). Next to the hotel there is a supermarket, which is open 24 h. The staff was nice, speaking basic English. The price of the hotel was good - 268 CNY per night with breakfast. There was a strange smell in our room. The furniture was a bit old, the rooms need some renovation. But I think it was worth for the 268 CNY we paid. |

The hotel was in the city center and most of the sights were within walking distance, which was fabulous. We took advantage of the Chinese breakfast that was included. The hotel is very run down! While sheets and towels were clean, if you're looking for luxury or comfort, you will be disappointed. If you're travelling on a budget, this will do the trick. |

There are two good reasons for staying here: price and location. It's not the Ritz, but for these prices what do you expect? I found the staff helpful and accomodating, although it helps to be able to speak a little Chinese. The breakfast was more than adequate -- hey, if you can't stomach noodles at 7 a.m. what are you doing in China in the first place? |

Staff attention. Good location, near bell and drum towers, muslim disctrict. Just walking distance from Airport express bus stop. Non-smoking room does not exist. Recommend you to get a air (smell) cleaner, since the hotel seems not using it. I believe is ok for this price... |

The location is superb, the hotel is rather comfortable. Rooms need small renovation, after that it can be 4-stars (my opinion). |

Location: the hotel is really in the center, near the airport shuttle bus stop and there is a grocery store next door. Value for the money for one night's stay. They also helped to organize a taxi and English speaking guide for my own one day tour. Floor and bathroom a bit shabby, but I did not expect anything fancy based on the reviews read. Otherwise clean. |

Location was great. A 24 hour food market next door was very convenient, also. Free internet was fast and smooth. Morning paper was unexpected. Even though the staff had very limited English they always had a nice smile, (a rare thing in Mainland). Breakfast was quite ok considering the hotel price. Room size was also quite fine. Overall it was a good deal and I am glad to have stayed there. Non-smoking room means they remove the astray from your room a few moments before you arrive. You’ll likely need to keep the windows open even in the wintertime to get rid of the smoke and get a little “clean” air. Unplug the phone to avoid the late night massage questions stated in other reviews. Tv selection was not good at all. Needs more int'l stations (cnn, etc). Small issues, at most. |

location near to the sites, shopping, public transport; helpful staff, especially at the reception (helped to explain things to housekeeping and business centre staff, who was not very capable of English :) we went to bed quite early both nights, but were awaken around 11pm with a phone call - somebody offering a massage :( |
