It was nice to wake up in the Muslim quarter.
I don't recommend that women in groups or pairs or traveling alone stay here. The hostel is located at the end of a dark, unlit, alley way. Also, the young man at the reception does not speak English and is rude. The attitude at this hostel is to take your money and nothing more. It did not feel safe; nor was it clean. They do not even provide towels. If you are a hardcore backpacker, this hostel may work for you, but don't go here if traveling alone and if you aren't fluent in Mandarin.
Location is really good but a bit tricky to find. sunny big room with 2 windows, wifi on room(0.5-2mbps)
no elevator, he did not clean the room during our stay (3nights), WiFi was unstable, only 2 small towel
Location - Right in the thick of the Muslim Area - street stalls, food, fantastic location
I have travelled to many countries & nearly always stay in low budget rooms but this one was the worst ever & it is hard to disappoint me. The room was filthy & never got cleaned for the 3 nights we stayed there. The bowl where you have to throw the used toilet paper never got emptied until I did it on the second night because we couldn't stand the smell. We never got any soap & the towel was the size of a small handtowel that never got changed. They only accept Chinese credit card or cash and the staff are not helpful at all. Finally, the bed felt like a block of concrete and the air conditioner didn't work.
Location right in the central street (Muslim district, with a lot of souvenirs shops and places to eat around), close to the Drum Tower
Poor service (small hand towels only were given, no housekeeping, no light in the bathroom - the problem was eventually solved but a bit too late, almost no English speaking staff, very hard bed and poor internet connection)
Located right in the heart of the Muslim quarter, plenty of great places to eat just outside the hotel.
The first room was damp and smelly. We asked for a different room and they gave us one on the third floor which was much better.
The location was great.
We've been put on Fourth floor- no elevator with our huge bags. There was almost no water in the shower. It was not Clean at all! Loads of Mosquitos. But we paid so little so I guess we got what we paid for...
Very good location inside the muslim quarter
Staff speaks very little English Wifi was very bad
Location is really good but a bit tricky to find.
Noisy in the night, not really clean, waiting for the hot water.
- The location is perfect. You step out of the door and you're surrounded by delicious (and terribly cheap) Hui cuisine as far as you can see. - The staff are friendly. - The hotel itself has a lovely atmosphere.
- It's not possible to shower without getting the whole bathroom quite wet. This isn't really a problem, though, and wouldn't deter me from booking another night here sometime. - I had to pay with cash rather than with credit card which was a little frustrating given that I'd planned my money situation in advance and then had to go withdraw more.
Loved the location as everything was walking distance from the hotel. You can get there with the airport bus which cost 26 RMB. Once you get off just walk under the subway and walk behind the drum tower. The first bus leaves at 05.40am and last bus at 01.00am, a lot of taxis will make you think it's far but trust me its very very close by.
Location was perfect!
Room and toilet were dirty! The shower didn't work correctly.. If you look a bit of comfort avoid this place
Very well located in the heart of the Muslim street. If you come from airport is better to take the bus to Bell Tower and then cross the street towards the Drum Tower, the street is exactly behind. For me was difficult to find it because nobody explained how to get there. Good size room, good aircon.
I had to carry my heavy baggage till 5th floor, no lift and narrow stairs, very inconvenient. A bit noisy place and smelly room, wifi never worked so I used the wired internet. The bathroom is not good at all, some pipes were leaking and the shower it is just next to the WC not good at all because everything get wet.
it was located in the centre. a lot of space in the room.
very difficult to find. they did not clean the room during our stay.
Very good position, city center on the muslim street! Very little english. The room was ok.
Only one girl can speak some english there, and you can't always find her
Decent sized room and bed. REALLY helpful staff that was able to get us train tickets to Chengdu when they were sold out at the train station. Good location, right on the Muslim street, lots of food options and convenience store right around the corner.
Gross bathroom that hadn't been clean for months, standing water with mold on the floor that made marks when you stepped through it. WIFI did not work at all. Hard beds.
We have booked a check in in advance but they didn't respect it
The challenge to find the way to the hotel when the street is crowdy
The location is excellent, in the middle of the muslim quarter.
No English speaking staff, no cleaning during our stay, no breakfast available.
Nice, clean, good location.
The local is great, just inside the muslim area! Its a bit noisy but the staff is helpfull and we enjoy them! And the room is big!
The bed is hard and there is no life in the hostel... nothing special
It has a really good location. although on the first day no=one knew where it was. room was fine, clean and adequate for the price.
The stairs and the external part of the inn were a little dirty and over several days stayed the same. There seemed to be a lot of workmen around on the stairs. i am not sure if they were residing there or fixing things. Lights on the stairs at night were not adequate or safe.
My primary motivation for choosing this Hotel was it's lacation. I had to leave for the airport the following morning very early via the bus. The ease and convenience with which I was able to reach the bus made it well morth the stay. Staying within the vibrant Moslem street was an unparalleled experience. The room, though small, was clean and comfortable. The front of house staff were extremely friendly and helpful
The facility has a coffee-shop on the 5th floor, which never opened in the 24hrs that I was at the hotel. The shower in my bathroom was old, and spewed water everywhere, except on me. I was travelling quite heavily, carrying 50kg of luggage in 2 suitcases and hand luggage. No elevator means I had to lug my bags upstairs one at a time up a very narrow stairwell. Luckily I was only on the 2nd floor.
the vibrant muslim district in which is located the hotel makes it a very good choice!
In the heart of the muslim quarter, with a Chinese courtyard and architecture. Very economical.
Typical hard Chinese mattress and if you don't like stairs ask for a room on the lower levels!
it has a traditional chinees outlook, friendly and quiet in middel of crowded muslim quartier, very basic
