The kids loved the second floor room and the restaurant. We were happy to have a warm, clean room in a great location.
The restaurant was cold (but it was cold everywhere) and the smoking room smoke spilled over to the main area.
The layout of the hotel was very cool, the staff were very helpful. The hotels facilities are very good. The location is excellent, very close to the north gate and pretty close to the drum/bell tower. The bar also has nice food.
staff extremely friendly and helpful, beautiful hostel highly recommend!
I loved the looks of the hotel and well as how comfortable and warm the bed and room was. The restaurant was great as well with reasonable prices.
I wish the wi-fi had carried over to the rooms as well. The wi-fi is accessible at the lobby and restaurant area. I was one courtyard away (#404) and I couldn't get signal.
Staff very friendly.
The locker in the room was not save. I lose the cash money about RM 500++ which equal to RMB1000++.
Friendly and helpful staff.Walking distance to Xi'an railway station and Long Hai Hotel(bus to airport).
service is so good. kindness, they use English. hotel's deisigen is morden.
not clean the room.
very beautiful hostel the best hostel I haver been comfortable bed big rooms and good heating
WIFI bar service, one of the waiters was not friendly at all
The room decoration. The staff professional and friendly nature. The unique old building was great to stay in as well.
The bathroom walls needed a better cleaning. There was a little moldew noted that can easily be scrubbed away.
the yard is big , decoration is unique.
location. the location is near to train station. however, it is at inside which need to walk for more about 15 minutes to subway station and also train station. There is no many bus pass by. the room is too small to squeeze for 6 beds of adults.
The Environment is perfect, drawing back through times. Love the duplex(2-storey) room. Private and cozy. Staff is very nice esp. Wendy.
Due to Low season, there is no transfer service to the train station (Not enough Staff to handle this). The too-slow water drainage system, causing the bathroom to flood after showering. The curtain in the bathroom could run down to the floor, now I could see my friend's legs while sitting in the toilet while I laid on the bed! Funny and Spooky!
the super friendly staff the courtyard building the atmosphere was really relaxed and everything felt very secure close to train station The bed was very comfortable
My room had a bit of a dank smell to it. The bathroom felt a little grotty
The rooms have only 4 bunk beds and they are huge, each of them has a lamp and 2 elec plugs. The shower is super cool and well built. There's conditioner, shampoo znd shower gel.
The free space in the hostel is very small and in the communal areas it feels a bit cramped. The food is also expensive.
It is easy to find and a short walk from the train station, roughly 15 minutes. The hostel is aesthetically pleasing and the courtyard is pretty. We visited at the end of October so not quite warm enough to sit outside.
This hostel could be perfect BUT the staff particularly in the bar/ restaurant could be better. Having travelled extensively within China, customer service isn't always number one which is absolutely fine but the staff here were not great. Even ordering a drink was painful as no one was that interested, even when asked (by asked I mean interrupting them watching Glee in the bar) we were looked at like we were such an inconvenience, we went elsewhere. Saying that, the staff at reception were very friendly and helpful at all times.
- Good location near the railway station - Good decoration and atmosphere - Facilities are in good condition
- Lighting is not enough. Especially along the walk way to the room there are no light at all. We could not see clearly where our room is. - Room number signs are too small to notice. Better put the bigger one. - Some female staffs are not as kind or friendly as others. - Worse English spoken staffs comparing to the Staffs in year 2013. (I visited Xi'an last year and staffs were excellent.)
The beds were the most comfortable we've slept on in china. Staff were really helpful. Clean, modern room with great hot water pressure. Restaurant served tasty food as well.
Our only issue was the internet. Sometimes it simply wouldn't connect, other times poorly or only in the common areas and not in the room. If they fix this, 7 sages will be the best hostel in town.
+ Staff can speak English well enough for communication. + Hostel is beautiful and well situated.
- Very few taxi in raining day.
Receptionist staff friendly, value of money, location consider good (walking distance to Metro), clean campus, do provide airport transfer with reasonable charge
Stay in twin sharing room with attached bathroom, bathroom very smelly due to old building drain system problem. Air-conditioner very noisy. 1 time late breakfast, even the whole cafe got no other customer, the staffs choose the table next to us, gather there discussing their work routine, feel disturbing and not comfortable
Some staff were very friendly and helpful.
Some staff were not helpful.
Good location, really nice facilities.
Staff was helpful but didnt know some important information about Huashan
Location was all right, it is 15 min. Walk to railway station.
Everything... 1) When we checked in, one of the staff (an older one) told me that the room can not accommodate more than 1 child. I have two little kids. I showed her the paper print-out from booking.com, it clearly stated that all children under 10 are free of charge when using existing bed. She tried to argue with me and said that was a mistake. I told her if she has any problems with that policy printed black and white as terms of the contract , then she should take it up to booking.com and deal with them. She probably realized it is her mistake indeed and finally said, "OK, just let them stay." I found her behavior very rude, disrespectful and unprofessional! I did not like her attitude at all and even wanted to switch to another hotel. 2) No daily clean-up. They do not clean up your room, only take away garbage, until you make your personal request at the front desk. That is oh so "convenient" for guests, after spending a tiring day outside, to find time and go through hassles just to tell/remind them to clean up their rooms? Wow, I never knew that is actually happening at a private room in a hostel. I rather spend the same money and get a decent hotel which will send staff to clean up my room as I wish. The money I paid to this hostel can get me a three star hotel in Xian, I don't know what got into my mind of thinking it is fun to stay at a youth hostel. 3) They won't give you sufficient toilet papers. The toilet paper is so small that you can use it up in one time. Again you have to show up at the front desk, and ask them for more. another hassle. And strong point to prove how cheap they are! 4) When I asked for extra pillow, they gave me blankets; when I asked for extra towel, they gave me none. Their customer service is almost non existent. 5) Laundry is super expensive, considering whatever cheap machine they put there do not run efficiently. I have to run the drier twice to get my clothes dry.
