Very comfortable bed!!! :) And clean room, perfect location, good looking hotel and excellent swimming pool - maybe a little bit expensive. Spa was very nice but also - too expensive.
Well...when I called to reception 3 times to ask maybe someone is able to help me with luggage, nobody came...then I went downstairs by myself. Also at the reception they told me that taxi will be there after max 3min, at the end - I was waiting more than 25min and I was really nervous that I will miss my flight because it was traffic time. Everything was cool, but the stuff at the reception - very nasty and impolite. Also there was very old looking shower - meaning - I remember this stuff from Soviet times, I guess for this price they can afford normal showers and bathrooms. Internet was very slow.
Separated buildings and no transportation services such as taxis available.
-Staff speaks English and helpful; -Pillow was very good, really enjoyed my sleep; -Breakfast is very good and diverse. -Walk distance from metro/subway.
-They didnt provide hair conditioner.
The facilities were excellent. The room was very comfortable and clean, and the staff was very attentive.
When my brother and I first arrived by subway to the wudaokou station we got lost trying to find the hotel. Perhaps better directions would help other guests who are not traveling by taxi.
Very nice place, very well located to where I needed to be, acadmic area. The Executive rooms were very nice. Staff was very friendly.
Only one thing went very wrong and was quite costly to me. Upon payment, I insisted three times that my credit card be charged in local currency. The reception staff failed to do it and charged me in US dollars, then gave me the receipt to sign that explicitly stated I elected to pay in US dollars. The exchange rate, as usually is the case in these transactions, was a huge rip off compared to what I was getting even at the ATM and would have gotten if charged as I demanded. Apart from this, my stay was great in what is a great hotel. The lesson is to pay in cash, withdrawn from an ATM in the next door building.
They have the infrastructure and could be a great hotel. The guest manager Ivy Chang was my only consolation.
There was hair in my bath when I arrived. It took me one hour to explain since nobody spoke English. Bed is hard as rock. Booked non-smoking room, got smoking room. The staff had no idea what I was talking about when I asked for compensation. Seriously, don't stay there!
pretty much everything
The gardens were nice, and the location was handy to where our son was staying The service staff (cleaners) were very freindly
The reception staff were very rude and unhelpful, we got ignored many times. Our credit card was charged 2 days prior to us leaving and they refused to give us a copy of the account. Booked the room for two people, for the first 3 days only got 1 towel. All through the stay only had one cup no spoon and no other cooking facilities. Reception staff's english was not good
The staff was friendly and did their best considering the circumstances.
Had to change room after a few nights. In my first rooom I got bitten by bed bugs. Further, the toilet did not work even though they tried to fix it every day. Second room a bit better. However, in both rooms there were a lot of mosquitos. No gym at the hotel. No english TV channels.
Too expensive for the accomodations. And was very disappointed the staff didnt hardly speak any english. Also was very difficult to change reservations and tried to cancel my second reservation for june 21 to 24th due to schedule change and didnt receive the value and service i was expecting.
Simple and comfortable, if you need somewhere to stay at the university area.
The payment process was very messy... I booked this hotel through booking.com for the option to pay on arrival. Yet, the charge per night I paid at the hotel was very different from the one in my booking.com reservation. There was no one speaking proper English to explain the case to me.So eventually, they charged me with a higher rate per night, plus service tax and a 1-night deposit (and I haven't received the deposit back to date..)
The hotel staffs are very polite and helpful
my conference was in the same hotel
there was a stink in the bathroom water. could not use the a/c due to stinky air delivery. strong smoke smell in the room. mosquitos.
The staff can not speak english
The location was excellent and very near our daughter who is studying at Beijing University. The hotel grounds were lovely particularly the fountains and the lighting on the trees at night. The staff were very pleasant greeting you with the Chinese greeting when you saw them. All in all a very comfortable stay.
a) Air-con was a bit noisy although you got used to it. b) Lack of an easy chair(s) in the room although these are becoming a rarity these days.
If you are going to visit someone who study in BLCU Uniwersity, it is good location
Old rooms; very poor internet; terrible bathrooms; Price not adequate to quality of rooms. It is deffinitelly 3 stars hotel, not 4 stars
For the price, Xi Jiao is an excellent hotel. Located in the University district (Haidian) it is close to the subway, buses, food, and shopping. It is also set back from the road, which means that it is quiet.
The wifi was awful. The bandwidth was almost non-existent, which was frustrating.
Apartment has enough space. Free toiletries etc... was good and regularly topped up. Apartment is a little dated but it was clean and comefortable and for a good price. Couldn't ask for anything else.
Breakfast with big varitety (Chinese and Continental); Rooms quite clean (Building 9); Nearby shopping mall and a lot of restaurants; Subway not too far away; Tshingua University in walking distance (20min);
Staff speaks only poor English; Not very flexible; Smelly bath and air condition; high extra charge for Swimming pool and Fitness Club
The location near the lively Wudaokou district and near the Universities. I liked the fact that I was courageaous enough to ask for a bedroom change ;and I liked the fact they finally did give me a decent bedroom (Cf bad points)
I was first allocated a room not heated and with a smelling of sewage in the bathroom; just a sure way to die there on that night. But I found the courage to use my chinese language ability (what if not the case ?)to politely request a change of room, which was done without too much grinning from the staff. And even a faint but nice smile from one of the female staff.
I stay in this hotel only becouse it is close to BLCU. Nice staff.
Building no 4 - the room standard very poor comparing to the price.
