Decor, professional service, clean and tidy
Clean room. Accomodative staff. No issues at all.
Our room was 29.5 degrees at 5am. Reception said it was because AC isn't used during this season. We're unable to open window in this room. Went to reception twice at this time & were only moved after we could show them on the booking .com website - that this hotel had AC! The next room had functionibg AC!! Unnecessary experience after a long flight. We are frequent visitors to China & so knew AC story was not true
not very clean , but the price is good value.
staff is not helpful and staff cannot speak english
I have stayed in this hotel 10 times over 3 years and this time was the worst and I will not stay there again. The room was "tired". Wallpaper was coming of the wall, the toilet smelt, the carpet was dirty, the wardrobe sliding doors did not slide properly. the AC would not work properly, the floor I stayed on was so noisy it stopped me sleeping.
Neat clean room, fairly close to Metro station, helpful staff, WiFi didnt work in my room but staff probided booster for 100 RMB refundable deposit. Walking distance to certain attractions; supermarket and shopping mall with restaurants around the corner.
Be aware : in 2 hotels in China we found there is a 15 percent charge added to the bill - that is not included in the quoted price when you make a reservation thru booking.com.
I see there is option for 2 beds in one room, but when we check in, there is only a large bed, as we have too many luggages, we have to stay.
location is good, rooms are good size and relatively comfortable although they look dated. Internet connection is decent by Chinese standard
If you have a room facing the inside court it can be noisy at times as local guests have a tendency to talk loudly with their windows open until late at night and the hotel doesn't do anything about it.
Breakfast value for money.
External of hotel building looks good but the internal of the room needs renovation; carpet dirty, wall paper peeling off and cupboard door jammed. The bathrope stained.
building, spacious room, hot shower, good amenities, nice breakfast, very close to Yuvi garden (5 minutes walk), close to shopping center and metro
we asked for early check during booking and a double bed room but it took aroudn1 hour for hotel stuff to arrange it and at the end they gave us the key for twin room so we had to come back to reception and explained we asked for double room which added incomfort to our check in.
The staff was poor. We had 1 towel which get coffe on it, they make us pay for it 50 rmb. We try to Chang that, it was like talking to the wall. The breakfast room was dirty and very poor western food to eat. I will never go back to this hotel
Clean, big rooms
Location, We have been charged with a deposit which has not been returned even now, after a month of staying in this hotel
room was spacious good location
carpets terribly dirty and everything old and run out, breakfast typical chinese but tolerable For that money could get a much better hotel but it was all booked for the holidays
Was not too flash
The location is central, a short walk from Yuyuan Gardens (a must-see in Shanghai) and the Yuyuan garden metro (subway) station. There is also a big up-coming mall and restaurant centre near the hotel. Spacious room with a good bed.
I was not aware of the "double-rate" deposit requirement when checking in, and had thought that I could pay when checking out. This was a surprise. The front drive-way was not clean, and the drive-way pool-fountain was dry (no water). It did not present a good picture of what to expect. The bathroom was smaller than expected.
I select this hotel when I made a business every time. Rooms , staffs, breakfasts are really excellent.
I like the hotel's equipments and the design. The location of the hotel was good. Very close to Yu Yuan and not far from the underground. The staff was professional. I slept welll because it was very quiet at night.
Price was good and location suited us well. Staff tried the best they could, onlyone with good-enough English was the manager. Since we are not too demanding, only thing pissed us off was the long wait getting our room after no sleep in 36hrs.
When we arrived at hotel, it seemed we arrived in hell instead of paradise. Garbage outside the hotel, room was not ready in morning although we booked the previous day just to get a quick rest after the flight. Waited the room more than an hour. Hardly anyone spoke any English, except manager. Room was OK, if not to consider at least one cockroach we got aquinted to.
Resturant and storage of used bed material was same! dirty and untidy so you don't like to have breakfast in there. Food was limited AND UNORGANIZE. They ask me special price to call taxi for airport which was different with normal one so I got by myself.
Business team where very helpful to book train and cars
Rooms grubby No free late check out Thin walls and very noisy No none-smoking rooms which we booked Smoking permitted throughout the hotel
Next to yu yuan garden opposite Tesco and loads of eateries
The rooms not very clean and didnt replenish my shampoo n bath gel
Very good location near yu gardens and bund. Very cheap hotel.
Very bad brakfast. Blehhh. I thnik this brekfast good for Asian peaople but not for european and us people.
