Breakfast was good, .
Once seated staff never came onver to offer tea or coffie
- big room with a direct view to Macao
-border to Macao its not a good location for a business visit, to crowdy and you will lost a lot of time during rush hours to get into hotel cause of car traffic - poor breakfast, it should be much better in 5 stars
a) nearness to food, stores and shopping. b) near to immigration and transportation easy.
a) crowded and all the street walkers that dampen the image.
Location - proximity to ferry port (Hong Kong), & Macau Staff friendliness Local & western eating options Room facilities
Friendliness of staff Efficiency of management Location Good breakfast buffet The few who spoke English well Amazing views from our bedroom Good cleaning staff
The executive lounge did not function as well as it should ... Too many qwerky "rules". Whilst the bathroom worked well, we were uncomfortable with it being virtually open-plan with the bedroom.
Warming welcome, nice place, clean room/facilities, kind staffs and good price made me satisfied.
Speed of wifi and internet line need to be enhanced.
Rarely does one find a hotel anywhere that pays more attention to detail than the Hotel Charming in Zhuhai. And if the rooms and food and spotless cleanliness is not enough, the sea view toward Macau is wonderful.
The hotel was attractive and clean
The poorly trained staff, the lack of storage in the room, the unreliable Wi-Fi, the bad coffee at breakfast, the menu in the Western restaurant, the "executive room" privileges.
Very good Location Comfort
Room too small compare to Guotai Hotel
location and high quality facilities
location, room, swiming pool
taxi waiting is too long and staff give priority to local people
taxi is sometime difficult to get. And traffic can be horrendous during rush hour
The staff speak good English and even have foreign staff. The pool area is very nice, and there is a great selection for breakfast.
It's a little expensive for China, but it is cheaper than Macau and right on the Gongbei border crossing. That said, I stayed there as I needed to get to Macau airport quite early, but the border was so busy I would never have made it. Be prepared to pay RMB 100 for a taxi to the Hengqin border which is much quieter! That is no fault of the hotel though.
near to ferry & bus terminals
main entrance and crowd control give hotel a low priced hotel image
location and friendly nothing-is-any-trouble service
slow check-in (some confusion with my online booking) but made up for easily with lots of smiles, and a generous unprompted room upgrade.
Difficult to find taxi at certain time; traffic jam during rush hours; check in needs extra deposit; noisy guests in the corridors early morning;
The location is good. Very close to the Macau/Zhuhai customs. Room is comfortable and clean.
There isn't much choice of restaurant in the hotel.
Very near the bus terminal 拱北口岸, to Macau within walking distance. An outdoor pool at 5th floor depth from 1.3 to 1.7m is a nice place for relaxing.
Breakfast end at 10am, will be good if can be extended to 1030 or 1100am.
So many great things to say about this hotel, I couldn't possibly list all of them. - Upon arrival, given very VIP treatment by the concierge staff (One young man by the name of Gordon, who spoke English) was very attentive & forthcoming with details about everything from the surrounding area to all the hotel info. - The front desk staff were very kind, worked quickly and were very professional about their duties.. (Nice & pleasant group of young hardworking individuals - Cheers to them!). - Location here is great! You can get KFC - McD's or Starbucks just a block away if want (but I usually stick with local cuisine however, and did not patronize these FF places). - The Hotel is quite large & beautiful upon entry & the free coffee & cookies were a sweet touch, especially for a long distance traveler like me who was a bit stretched upon arrival. - The room was very large & bed was fantastically comfortable w/ everything in the room (amenities) one would need to make their stay perfect. I read some reviewers didn't like the 'openness' of the shower/bathroom.. however, that kind of thing is fine by me, and it does offer enough privacy even for people who are sharing a room. -The underground shopping mall was interesting, and had a host of local cuisine places if you want something out of the hotel. - The Charming also boasts a decent size swimming pool for R&R, but I didn't have a chance to swim while there, cause I was so bloody busy working most of the time.. but really nice looking pool area :) - However, I also must mention one of the highlights of my stay here, which was the hotel's buffet's (Breakfast & Dinner both).. "Absolutely Fantastic" and the choices so were so many, one could not possibly eat all of what was offered.. with extremely fresh quality that was "Top Notch". (The Roast Beef - Lamb - Duck .. the fresh sea Scallops & Shrimps for dinner..
There is nothing negative I could say about this hotel, its people, or its location...
Next to Gong Bei- border with Macau, long distance bus station and rail station- trains to Guangzhou every hour. Buzzing night life around, plenty of places to eat, etc.
Open toilet just in the room, no door. Can be smelly all around, if you know what I mean. When we asked for welcome drink, we got glass of warm water from foreign manager. Weird....we meant at least some beer...
The staff we very friendly and were very willing to assist.
