Score from 131 reviews Very good
the hotel is very close to the airport which is the sole reason why I stayed there. It is very simple, room has the basics and bed is good. It's clean. 2 to 3 blocks walking from the hotel there is a street with restaurants which is handy if you want to eat something. It's value for your money if you just have to stay overnight for your connecting flight. Staff is friendly and the free airport shuttle at all times is great.
For the cheap price you are paying you can't demand more then you are now getting.
Low price Close to the airport Free airport shuttle
Not much to see or do nearby Cracks on walls Old mattress
It is very convenient because it is very close to the airport and the bus terminal. The free transfer from the airport to the hotel is very useful
In a very nice area of Bogota. There's a commercial high st about 500m from hotel with restaurants, cafés and bars in a middle class neighbourhood. Was nice for a brief look at regular Bogota & Colombia. Hotel very efficient with (free) transfers to and from airport - excellent choice it transiting Bogota overnight.
I was a 63-y.o. male travelling alone. I stayed at this Hotel for 4 nights in July 2014. I chose this Hotel largely on the basis of their skillfull and gracious middle-of-the-night Airport pick-up and delivery to the Hotel following e-mail communication directly with the Hotel several days earlier. I was not disappointed. The Hotel driver was standing at the Airport exit at 1 a.m. holding a computer-generated sign with my name on it. He took me straight to the hotel (gratis) for a fast check-in. The driver carried my heavier bags up to Room 305 on the third floor. I gave him a gratuity of 20,000 pesos ($10.62) for all of his efforts. He seemed entirely satisfied with that. Hotel staff was at the front desk 24-hours per day. The gate at the front entrance was open 24-hours-per-day. If the front gate or front door are closed, just ring the door-bell. Wilber at the front desk speaks some English. Otherwise, since I know only about 50 words of Spanish, I e-mailed brief letters to the front desk, and I used Googe Translate to turn them into Spanish before I sent them. That worked fairly well. They accept credit cards when their system is working. Cash may be necessary for a stay of only one night, if the credit card system happens to be down. The room was small, but very nice. The small bathroom had nice new fixtures and plenty of hot water. My room was cleaned every day and the bed was made up. This is definitely more than I am accustomed to receiving in a hotel in this price range. Light breakfast is served from 6 to 10 a.m. The hotel is situated in a typical mid-city middle class residential community called Normandia. It is worth a day or so of exploring for those who are interested in such things, as I am. A bakery, numerous shops, and 4 internet cafes are located on Carrera 73A, one block from the Hotel, and bordering Normandia Park. The Hotel arranged a private taxi for me to transfer to a hotel in La Candelaria.
love the location people were great - staff great room very comfortable breakfast - typical but nice airport pickup and dropoff a real bonus!!!!
The people very kind and honest. Building clean and safe. Nice to have faces with big smile on it at all times. Pleasant to be around them. Great experience and no worries.
The fact that I couldn't ask for a good breakfast or a fresh juice. No kitchen service available. Overall these people gave the best of service. They love what they do and they do it right.
Staff was very cordial. Place was very clean and the rooms were spacious.
Unfortunately there is no elevator and the internet on the third floor was on and off. Seems that the modem was defective.
- driver arrived 45min to late, since they only come when they drop off people which is around 15min past the full hour - once we arrived at the hotel the owner rushed us to pay for the night and as well for the taxi ride the next morning. Then he told us we can't stay and the driver will bring us to another hotel around the corner. It was raining and we were tired so we agreed and no other hotel around so we had no choice anyway. - We've been dropped at the Hotel Dorado Gold. Friendly receptionist, but our room was not made (we found still warm fries & chicken in the room and the shower was used with shampoo on the floor and dirty towels). We had to move rooms, new room was ok. Next morning we arrived at 6.15am for breakfast, were not served by 7am, when we had to leave for the airport. Wouldn't stay at A Bogota on Holidays or in Hotel Dorado Gold ever again.
the service airport - hotel is good value ! if you need to go to the airport or go to the bus terminal they charge you , but it is very convenient ! if you stay here it is just to get a bed and shower, near the airport or bus terminal ; there is nothing in the surroundings to eat or so ; little room with no view, but that doesn't matter really
Small, familiar hotel. Close to airport, useful to avoid going to Bogotá downtown.
Only close to airport, clean but very basic.
They forgot to pick me up at the airport, after confirming via email. Surcharge for airport transfers also.
Good place to stay overnight if you're waiting on a connecting flight. Close to the airport and they offer a free pick up and return. They actually emailed me to find out when I would be arriving. I had a late flight that was delayed by over an hour, and still the driver waited for me.
It is close to the airport and the transportation service is good. The staff is also very helpful!
It is a bit noisy.. I had only a short night in between two flights and it was so noisy that I couldn't sleep for a while.
shuttle service to airport, nice staff, restaurants around the corner, safe neighbourhood.
not possible to pay with card
Good location for an overnight stay, when you have to fly out the next morning. Free pick-up from the airport (they will send you an e-mail to ask for your flight details). To get to the airport you have to pay for an airport transfer (only 12.000 Colombian pesos in total). Breakfast is coffee, thea and 2 croissants, enough to get you started.
really comfy beds, decent breakfast by colombian standards, free transfer and lovely helpful staff
service charge wasnt included on the price on booking.com
Friendly and forehanded staff, free airport transfer- you will be met with the table near the exit, really hot water in the shower, cleanness in the room
Too cold in the room, tile floor, but it's not so important.
very nice drivers to and from the airport; staff polite (no english); good location & breakfast; a great option for spending the night btw flights; very good at communicating with customers promptly
we were placed in some sort of a family room with multiple beds which seemed to be in the "older" part of the building; some english spoken could definitely help foreign tourists; wi-fi sketchy
Location close to airport, extremely clean floors, simple check-in
Credit cards not allowed, lack of an inviting sign out front, generally very poor selection of restaurants nearby (most closed on Mondays)
Nearby the airport
Be aware: on the dutch version of booking.com they say "we have free transport from and to the airport", they only provide a free pick up!!! On the english version they say: free transport. I hope they changed this information, cause it's very misleading. We were very disappointed. They also refused to bring us back to the airport. We took a taxi....... Poor breakfast....no natural juices like they say on booking.com When we arrived, the first thing they said was "passports please!" Without looking at us.... We didn't feel very welcome. No window.
Close to airport. Airport transfer. Helpfull staff. Clean and secure.
Noisy- late planes going and coming over the roof, but not in the night. Nighbour snorring and coughing through the walls !!
This is a great airport handy hotel. It's a 5minute walk to the millennium train that takes you to the airport. They also offer a great van shuttle any time you need one. Wonderful staff. Very very clean facility.
It was all good!
The hotel's in a good location for people flying into and out of Bogota. There is a free shuttle to/from the airport. The room was quiet and clean
The pick-up from the airport is free. Free fresh coffee and croissants. Early check-in for free.
Unclear about additional cost. Expect to pay 14% more for a service fee plus cop 12.000 for the shuttle to the airport.
