The location and security
No a/c so we had to sleep with the windows open and our room was right next to the dining room. The widows faced the dining room.
It's a little cozy hotel, with only 13 rooms and 3 employees. The location, in the quiet and safe neighboorhood of Laureles is also a plus, even though it is not so close to Medellin's convenient metro system.
In my first stay, they gave us a room without windows to the outside. It got warm, without air circulation. In our second stay, they new that we needed two beds, but they assigned a room with only one double bed. The rooms that have windows to the internal corridors also don't have privacy. In other words, they should charge much lower prices for these rooms. There are only a few portable air conditioning devices. The wi-fi is week and its performance in the rooms is poor - if any.
Close to shops, restaurants, ATM etc. Neighbourhood felt very safe as solo female traveller. Easy 15/20 min walk to the metro. Very helpful staff.
The room was very hot and I had to keep the door to the hallway open at some points to get some air in. I sleep easily but this did make for a slightly difficult few nights.
location - calm residential neighbourhood; not a busy hotel nor big one - wasnt noisy from inside; 10-15mins walk to the metro; good value for money
noise from the street of passing cars as of 6am, but it is bearable
Everything was good, staff breakfast room ...
The front desk was unattended most of the time, the air conditioning wasn't working, the TV wasn't working properly, one of the pillows was smelling like sweet :-)
We enjoyed our stay at this cute hotel. We liked the area. It was safe and quiet and close to the Metro. The staff were as helpful as they could be despite them having very little English and us no Spanish. Good sized bathroom and shower unit with loads of hot water.
The room was a bit cramped - the bed was large and comfortable but took up most of the room! Wifi weak in room, but strong in dining area.
Location is good to the main ave for shopping or eating location
The rooms are very small can only squeeze through, portable ac working half decent, staff personel can not speak english at all
It was quite and close to my brothers appartment in Laurelles - one of the nicest neighborhoods in Medellin with several very nice restaurants very close by.
Only the Manager spoke some English, no one else. The stone floor in the bathroom had no bathroom carpet and was incredibly slippery as you stepped out off the shower. I slipped and accidentally broke a small ceramic tray by the sink as I slipped. I mentioned it the front desk the next morning and was charged $15 dollars at checkout for damage. Outrages!
Quiet area , quiet place , good place to rest ,
The location is not bad but it's better to stay close to zona rosa
