I was there for a destination wedding and didn't know what to expect. The hotel was very quaint. It used to be the home of the Archbishop (hence the name) It was initimate and lovely. The staff was very sweet and helpful. Can't beat a massage for $13. Had one everyday. I got turned around my first night and couldn't find my hotel. The night mgr came & found me and escorted me back to the hotel.

The English of the staff, well everyone in Cartagena isn't always great, so carry an interpreter or ask them to slow down.

Excellent location in the historical city. Very beautiful house.

Only extremely basic English understood - no touristic information available from the reception. Room was pretty small, and without a chair and a table. I had to work on my computer sitting on the bed. The bathroom was big enough, but with shower only (no bathtube). Not a bad hotel but very overpriced for the comfort.

Basically, everything. The staff is young, helpful, and genuinely pleasant, with no trace of the stiffness one often finds in upscale places. Rooms are impeccably clean, with a great air conditioner and thermostat (very much needed in Cartagena). The setting is cozy, with a nice pool in the middle of a flowery patio. Breakfast was served by very nice young men and there was a choice of typical "Cartagenian" and American-style. Both excellent.

We cannot come up with a single negative point!

Absolutely loved the facility and the location.

The staff (front desk) was not knowledgeable at all about good places to eat nearby. One young lady told of a fabulous Peruvian place but the second night was a complete disaster. I expect more from a hotel with this sort of price.

The location close to all historical sites and restaurants, always smiling and proactive staff and the very original architecture of the hotel are the most positive aspects

WIFI signal was a bit weak in the rooms, pool very nice but maybe small.

The location was great. The hotel is superb, absolutely beautiful. I do believe it was overpriced for what you get. Not because it wasn't worth it. But because there were lots of other equally beautiful hotels, some much more reasonably priced.

A wonderful refuge in the middle of town. Cartagena is fun and totally alive and active while the hotel is an oasis of serenity. Fabulous helpful staff.

    We liked it all

Beautiful house. High ceilings, great wood finishes, elegant furniture, large bedrooms, well renovated bathrooms. Tastefully decorated. Nice swimming pool. Great staff. Very good breakfast.Everything works well: the air conditioning, hot water pressure, and room cleanliness are remarkable.

This place was magical. It's a fabulous 5 star full of character and history. Perfectly tranquil place to stay when some relaxation is required after hectic Cartagena sightseeing and partying.

    Leaving this hotel was heartbreaking!

The staff was great and all the services were great. The room was always clean and the facilities were awesome.

Breakfeast ended too early (10 am). That was my only complain. They could also have a nice restaurant inside like other nice hotels around.

The staff were amazingly helpful (friendly yet professional), the room was quiet and comfortable, the location was great, the pool was lovely, the building was beautiful, and the free bike hire was such a nice activity- It was really a peaceful haven that I would love to return to!

There was nothing that I disliked- I thoroughly recommend this hotel.

We enjoined our stay immensely! We travel extensively and this is one of the best hotels that we have ever stayed in. The hotel was beautiful and the staff superb. The location is situated in a great location. It was very quiet even though it is a very busy area. We had breakfast at the hotel every morning and it was delicious. We can't wait to return
