-Sheets were stained -The central AC is really bad - room was very hot They give one towel per person, no hand or feet towel for the shower. -Room was not cleaned well.. there was a bottle of rum in one of the corners -Food was very bad and they serve drinks in metallic cups -Lobby is 105F -Service was very bad as well
the stuff is good... i didn't have any issue whit them.
The hotel is in very bad shape... the lobby doesn't have air conditioned, it's old and it isn't clean. I felt very bad about my reservation because the photos mean to be fixed they are not the actual reality. I stayed there just because i paid in advance, but believe me ... if i could canceled it ... i did, and tried another hotel.
location is great. if you are going to use the hotel just to sleep, then is ok.
Staff was rude.
Comida. Limpieza de las áreas comunes.
the location/the food/the service
when I arrived in my room the airconditioning was not working ,the toilet was not working /the safe was not working/I had to change the room twice and did not get one with a balcony wat was promised.
The hotel is right next to the beach and close to restaurants and shopping. It is clean and safe.
The hotel is shabby and and cheap. They shuffle a thousand tourists a day through the hotel and restaurant, for prices that are not cheap. Some money needs to be invested in a fresh coat of paint and nicer furnishings/decor.
I don't think you have enough space here for me to list what we didn't like about this "hotel". We've been in this hotel before, so I didn't pay too much attention to the reviews posted; that was a big mistake, as this hotel now is basically in ruins, not only for the facilities, but for the staff and the service. I don't understand how you guys in booking still have this hotel in your data base, very surprising; have done many bookings with you and never a single problem. This was a pre-paid stay, so I had no way to deny the payment, but in all honesty we shouldn't pay for this. Initially we weer given a room with 5 twin beds, like a very cheap pension, in a very tiny room, so you can imagine you couldn't walk there, we were 4, so we asked for a room change, which only happen the next day. We were given then a 2 double bed room, and the toilet didn't work, asked several times for solution but not solution was given; the person in the front desk not only didn't care about it, but there was nobody else to talk to. We had to use the restroom in the lobby as the one in the room didn't work.It was clogged all the time; the room had only 3 towels, and we have to beg several times for them to bring the fourth one, which only happen the last day; the food, I just want to say we had to eat after the second day, out, I know very well about Colombian food which is very good, but in this hotel is really the worst I've seen in years. Unfortunatelly the food was prepaid, so we really lost all that money. The fecilities are in really bad shape, but that's nothing in comparison with the poor attitude of the staff; no manager to complaint until the last day and he said he didn't know anything about our problems there, and gently offered us a bottle of wine for the "incovenients" ( I will call this the nightmare) we had. Only a clawn will offer something like that.
The top floor room with a balcony facing the Pacific. Although the AC leaked a lot, the condition of the room needs serious refurbishing, I still stayed over there for the beautiful view from the balcony.
Condition of the upholstery, furnitures, the dirty walls, horrible bathroom, uncomfortable beds and the meals.
This hotel is the most ugly, poor and gross that i have ever being in my life.
the price is the best thing about this hotel.
the food needs improvement, more variety and better taste.
Filthy, broken air conditioning and wi-fi
food was very localized
Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I dont understand why this website would even give this as an option. Its all false advertisement. The pictures shown on the site show a beautiful hotel, however when I arrived with my wife it was not what was advertised. Everything looked old and dirty. The bed was old and the chairs as well. The faucet was old, stained, moldy and chipped. The tub was not clean it was yellow as if it were never cleaned. The food was not "gourmet" as advertised, it was the same food everyday and was not appetizing. While my wife sat at the dining area a rodent passed over her foot. When I brought my concern to the front desk they were able to accomedate us to another room however the shower was a standup and there was no shower curtain or door to prevent the water from splashing or preventing a bad fall. Also the bathroom did not have hot water and hallway lighting was non-existant. When my wife and I had enough I asked to speak with a manager to raise my concerns and so i spoke with Alfredo Sanchez(General manager, also the owners son) he was not concerned and not apologetic and neither was the owner himself, Constantino Sanchez. They claimed that no one has ever complained which is false because another couple was complaining later that same day I spoke to them. So in total this was a horrible and horrific experience, do not select this hotel!
The price is the best thing about this place, you can't get better value. You have to remember this is a very basic hotel which serves very basic Colombian style food. It is not suitabel for visitors wanting high standards - go to the Hilton!
This hotel is showing many signs of age as it was probably built in the 1960's and still has some of the original photos in the reception. Hardly ever any hot water in the showers etc. but this is typical for local Colombians who are the vast majority of the clientelle. Both swimming pools were cloudy and do get a lot of use but nevertheless they shoould be cleaned and the appropriate chemicals used. Not once did I see anyone clean the pools or check the chemical levels in them. Some of the hotel fittings, electricals etc. are not to the best safety standard, just take care. If you want a better quality hotel - pay more as they are plenty of better hotels in the area - just depends on your budget - you pay a price that is relative to the service/standards that the Costa del Sol gives.
I loved the location and the views from the rooms. I loved that there were 2 pools and each had amazing views. I was glad that they upgraded my room after the first night. The food was adequate and healthy. The restaurant staff was excellent.
The hotel was filthy (but not my upgraded room). I saw a cockroach in the lobby. I told the lobby staff and it took them half an hour to have someone come and sweep it up. They didn't seem to care. The pools were slippery and filthy. I slipped and fell by the pool on the fourth floor and twisted my knee. There was no hot tub (it looked like it was never going to be repaired). There were no drinks being served at the bar pools. The electrical outlets were coming out of the walls with bare wires showing and dangerous. I could go on and on. It was the worst hotel I ever stayed at.
Very close to the beach.
There was no amenities, very bad condition in the rooms, drains were blocked I complained every day and I still waiting for maintenance to come and check, no hot water on showers, the AC sucked literally, was not cooling at all and food was just like the worst food ever, nevertheless if you are planning to stay there for any reason I strongly advise you to go right at the start of breakfast, lunch or diner, the queue will be huge, but you will be able to grab something of everything at least to say how bad its because food even though its included in the price, it doesn;t last and don;t even bother asking about it, the answer will always be :We are very sorry, seems to be a miscalculation of kitchen: My experience there was not the best, not good at all, so unless you are a student group or don;t mind the bad food, go to another hotel.
Comida servicio de aseo
No very bad experience
Everything, the hotel was very uncomfortable. Those hotels have to be closed until they treat decent people/
This hotel gets a very bad rap in the reviews on different sites and most of it is probably deserved. Let me say from the outset that it is a one star hotel; it is an informal, beach-hostel, flip-flops, let-your-hair- down kind of hotel; it is a hotel that caters to locals rather than to foreigners. The hotel-plan is all-inclusive which means 3 meals a day included in the room-rate and, no one could possibly disagree, their rates are absolutely rock-bottom. I just couldn’t believe how shockingly cheap it was! Location-wise, there is no better. The hotel is on the beach and I found this stretch of sand to be the nicest, quietest, and cleanest of the whole stretch of beach in Bocagrande. It is also hassle- free (pimps, prostitutes, drug-touts) unlike the other beaches further along. In addition, and unlike fancier hotels further along down, this hotel is right in the heart of the shops, restaurants, minimarkets, and entertainments district. The other hotels would require some walking and taxis. As to the 3 inclusive meals, expect nothing fancier than steamed yuka, bland meats, stewed lentils, wilted salad, and a biscuit for pudding. The locals were heaping their plates and I heard no complaints. I thought the soups were incredibly delicious and just added boiled rice to it for a more substantial repast. The hotel interior is outdated and furnished with cast-offs of the kind you would put in a beach house you only visit occasionally. The quality of the rooms vary wildly, so, perhaps, do not settle on the first one you are shown. Renovations seem to be happening according to some kind of plan, so you may find one that is more updated. The best-kept secret of this hotel are the 3-4 suites with terraces/balconies at the top of the hotel. I would recommend you insist on getting one of these as they are to be had for the same rate. My room had a very nice new bathroom with good shower and toiletries.
