Breakfast, the beach, the location
sometimes AC too cold
modern facility. pool. beach. area was safe and fun to walk around to the end of beach area.
Staff were very kind and happy to help. This hotel is very convenient in you have small kids. Swimming pool is very child friendly and the beach is just in front of the pool.
I have no real complains about the hotel. Only thing is that wifi signal is a bit low in the rooms, but that seems to be the case in most hotels.
I like the location of the hotel and the staff was great too
The hotel is the only one direcly on the beach without a street between premises and sand. The rooms are nicely decorated and spacious.Friendly frontdesk staff and breakfast is fine
The hotel has no cosy corners where to enjoy drinks and relax,no nice bar or terrace where to enjoy sundowners.it is all very clean and functional but without charme,we missed this ,especially as the position so close on the beach would make it the perfect spot to linger. The large windows with seaview are vey dirty and with the wind there is no way to keep them clean,it gives the otherwise nice rooms a bit of a rundown feel.
The Bed, location, cleanliness, full breakfast.
Excelent food; excelent restaurant service.
Can't sit at the beach because we were assailed by vendors, massage girls giving us unsolicited trials, etc. Extremely unpleasant.
Spring for the "Superior Double Room" with ocean view balcony - it's WELL worth it. Incredible views of the Caribbean Sea. Very spacious and clean rooms. Good hot water. Bocagrande is the Miami Beach-like area of Cartagena (about a 10-30 minute taxi ride to the old colonial city). You have direct access to the beach, the pool, as well as wi-fi and breakfast buffet. Lots of hotel for the money.
Be aware that you should at least speak a little Spanish to make your life easier, since almost no one in Cartagena speaks English (except for the tour guides).
El personal muy cordial y amable. Carpas con sillas y toallas exclusivas en la playa. Atentos de las necesidades de los huespedes las 24 horas. Desayuno buffet con huevos al gusto. The staff was very kind, the hotel has exclusive tends on the beach with chairs and clean towels. They are willing to excedee your expectations during the whole day. Buffet breakfast with all kind of food.
Nos dejaron sin toallas en el cuarto despues de la primera vez que lo arreglaron. Todo se soluciono con una llamada a recepcion. We were without towels after the first morning in the hotel. Everything was ok after one call to the reception
The staff is so welcoming, services, restaurant, the room, and other facilities excellent.
A bit noisy the air conditioning.
If you want to stay in BocaGrande, this is probably the nicest and the best you will find. It's clean, modern, and comfortable. To take a taxi to the Old City area should cost you no more than $7.
If you can afford it, better to just stay in the Old City walls area instead of BocaGrande.
Great beach hotel, friendly staff.
Beach towels could be replaced.
We got engaged at this hotel. The pool area is very nice. Its a very nice spot with great views. The staff was great.
Cozy family hotel, kindly staff and great location.
The service from everybody was really good! Better in the other hotels I stayed before.
Staff were quite friendly and professional. Maria Cristina, at the guest service, was of great help for our stay. I'm very thankful for her advice. I would stay there once again without hesitation.
Curtains in the room should be checked. There's not a complete black out at night and sunrise easy wakes you up. The swimming pool should be open at least until 10pm.
Staff were always friendly and happy to serve. Breakfast was really fresh and tasty, with different choices of fruit, local food, and juices, overal was great. Rooms were really nice, modern and very clean and comfy.
This was my honeymoon trip, and both my wife and I were more than pleased with this hotel. There is nothing bad that I can say about it. The suite we got was gorgeous and the ocean view was awesome. We were treated like kings, best hotel experience ever!
Bad location -- it's on the beach, but if you're going to Cartagena you want to be in the old city. Wi-Fi didn't work. Staff was not helpful. Restaurant and bar closed early. Just not very good.
Prime location on the beachfront.Very clean. Booked a superior room with gorgeous seaview which was great. Attentive staff. Good breakfast. Sunchairs and umbrellas reserved for free on the beach.
Hotel staff, spacious junior suite, cleanliness. Good quality of sleep. Only 5 min ride by cab to the old town (3$).
Breakfast wasn't that great, but this is my personal taste.
The hotel itself. Very clear, clean, small and neat. The staff was very attentive and regardful. The room was big, clean, with a balcony looking to the sea, very good shower (indeed!), although the bathroom is a little small. Not a problem at all. The breakfast was fair. Not so good neither bad.
The hotel has no parking and is veeeery difficult to find a place to park the car. This was really a problem. The location. Although it's in front of the sea, it's far from everything else worth too in the city. The way to hotel is complicated if you don't have a GPS. This was what I really didn't like. If you are going there without a car, I recommend the hotel. If you have a car, think twice in high season!
