Hotel De La Opera    

Hotel was charming, clean, great central location in Candelaria, staff was attendant, pool was nice, etc. We would certainly stay here again and recommend it to others.

We had a couple of bad dinners (as if meals had been cooked previously and had been sitting around for a long time) in the first floor restaurant but otherwise, meals were quite good.

No complaints - for a relativcely expensive hotel in the La Candelaria district of Bogota it lived up to its very positive reputation as a heritage hotel in 2013

Brilliant location in walking distance of all the major sights. The rooms on the 7th Floor have stunning views out over the Candelaria rooftops. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Very noisy and uncomfotable. Badly needs upgrading with modern TVs, mini bar etc. Maintenance poor and reception unreliable. Holds mini conferences to which it is not suited. If it were not for superb location it would be unacceptable. Certainly very overated as it is.

The hotel's location is fantastic -- a block from the main square of Bogota and within easy walking distance of most of the principal sights. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. My room (709) had an amazing view over the towers and roof of the cathedral and an adjoining church. The hotel's restaurant was very good -- fine Italian food and outstanding service.

Can't think of anything I did not like. OK, the elevator was slow ... hardly a big thing.

Great location in Candelaria. We reserved a suite with a fabulous view out over the city -- well worth the extra cost. It was a very large and comfortable room. Friendly and helpful staff aided us with transportation and dinner reservations.

Location, location, location; then ambiance, helpful staff, rooms, common spaces, quiet, not necessarily in that order....

Maybe leaving in the rooms the equivalent of 1 (one) glass of bottled water per couple, or break open a 8.50 USD Evian is a discordant note in such a welcoming place.

The only thing I didn't like was leaving!

Great setting in the Candelaria. Close to lots of museums and government buildings.

Disappointed in cleanliness. Toilet was plugged and disgusting when I entered. Instead of moving me they just sent someone up to unplug the toilet. Internet was free but didn't work at least half the time. I had to tell them each day of the problem. I've stayed here before and enjoyed it. Probably won't stay again as there are many more modern alternatives now versus when I first came to Bogota.

For those wishing to visit Candelaria, Hotel de La Opera is the best hotel to stay at, has great atmosphere, and probably the safest location

I think we would consider visiting Candelaria for the day, rather than staying there. It is dangerous to get away even a few blocks from the hotel in the evening

People were super friedly and helpful. Loved the colonial and classicalfeel of the hotel. Perfect spot for exploring the historical center. Comfortable room and bed.

maintenance sucks. Towels like cardboard, shower faucet malfunctioning, fire alarm lighting at night, drinks prices out of range.

My room, a Junior Suite Deco, had the most magnificent view over the city in the direction of Plaza Bolivar. It was truly spectacular. The hotel itself is beautifully maintained, with a colonial style that gives it a special flare. Loved every moment of the experience. Would highly recommend it again to anyone staying in Bogota. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Amazing building with incredible service and amenities. Price includes a great breakfast and access to the spa, which is beautiful. The staff was extremely accommodating and the hotel was in a great location.

I studied for 2 years in the Instituto Caro y Cuervo in the same street. It was nice to return. La Candelaria has more charm than superficiality of the nroth of the city.

O Hotel de La Opera encontra-se no bairro La Candelária, centro histórico da cidade, de onde se pode ir a pé a vários pontos turísticos. À noite, há bastante movimento devido às universidades localizadas nas proximidades, mas bons restaurantes ficam localizados nas áreas T e G, de fácil acesso por taxi, que cobram bem menos que no Rio. O hotel tem seu charme, o restaurante serve uma boa comida e as pessoas são gentis e atenciosas. O quarto é amplo e limpo. As fotos mostram quartos antigos e modernos. Veja o que prefere antes de reservar.

Belle maison tradi. Le quartier historique, même si je ne recommande pas de résider a la Candelaria (trop excentré et mal entouré) mais plutot du cite de la 82e
