Had a great a time love the facilities even though i kept getting confused by where the lobby is ..love the location all in all you won't regret it
The channel line up there was nothing to watch while resting to go out ....
Location is great , great staff and fast check in - check out
Rooms are dark and poor lighted , shower is bad, too little water runs out. They should have smoking rooms avaiable.
Location in à Nice part of the modern city. Modern and confort facilities
Too american, norm, standard
The swimming pool only open from 10 am to 6 pm. I think that it's better to open at 8 am and
Great room, very modern. I loved breakfast every morning with local treats. Close to everything. Would definitely stay again.
The staff was very helpful and friendly, we called ahead to make some speciall request and they took care of them, we arrived early and they had our rooms ready before check in time which allowed us to be able to enjoy the city a couple of hours more
The luggage storage area is a just small closet, locatted next to the piblic bathroom with no supervision or security whatssoever, anybody could just walked in a grabbed anything, they should at least put a lock on the door.
The view from the pool is awesome and the staff is excellent
The room was nicely decorated and the shower was enormous. The view from the pool amd the gym were stunning because we could see all the skyscrapers of bocagrande
The employees of the hotel rarely speak a second language
No late chekout available without paying half night.
Location and room distribution
First of all, I've been charged 50 dollars more than what the original booking said. Staff, very unfriendly, we arrived at 12:00 in the afternoon, and it was obvious that the hotel was EMPTY, however, they were not able to provide us a room because the check in was at 3:00PM. In colombia if you arrive early and there are rooms available, a good hotel will allow you to stay if you arrive 3 hours before the check-in. In addition, the AC was full on, in the corridors, the rooms had sealed windows so no air could enter the room. in three nights that we stay no extra shampoo or soap was given. There is no restaurant in this hotel, and in the pool you just can buy beer and soft drinks, no food. The breakfast on Saturday was a mess, there were no dishes, no cutlery, the pincers to grab fruit and bread were gone, so everyone had to touch the food! if you are planning to spend the night and you are not planning to spend time in the hotel you could opt for this option, but there are better places for the same amount of money!
Location and hardworking staff
My option for a 2 day vacation went to Hampton because of I trusted in the Hilton guarantee, but from Hilton could not find nothing! Clear low cost format: lack of staff, reception on the last floor with 1 to 2 pax that also serve as bar, very poor amenities, only to 2 lifts for 17 floor (= lots of time waiting), poor breakfast in even more poor space to pick up goods, and finally a small laptop could not fit in the security box because is super small!
Location, value for money, breakfast
Fantastic hotel. Rooms perfect and comfortable. Breakfast is good. Topfloor pool very relaxing. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Location, design, view, attentiveness of staff.
No variation on breakfast items.
I work in the hotel industry. This trip was a destination wedding in Cartagena with everyone staying at the Hampton. What can I say, it was awesome. Friendliest staff I have encountered in a hotel. The facilities had everything we were looking for. Cleanliness, location, breakfast, wifi, great rooftop pool, great showers with hot water, comfortable beds, and a great view from the lobby on 16th floor where we had our Rum Zacapas. The manager and staff went above and beyond for us.
A/C was getting fixed but they still kept it flowing in the rooms. Was not to bad at all. Simply a maintenance issue which happens anywhere.
Staff were very helpful and arranged day tours and other activities. We arrived late because of a delayed flight and they upgraded our room free of charge because we didn't get to enjoy our first night there and had prepaid. Breakfast was consistent each day and located near the beach and convenient to restaurants in the area. It is a good choice if you don't want the noise of the other areas of the city but a taxi to the walled city or getsamani was between 5 and 10 pesos.
Clean, simple, you pay for what you get.
This hotel is the only one I have been in Colombia forcing me to pay VAT. Foreign people staying in Colombia are exempt from paying VAT for hotel stays. The truth is that the Colombian law is not clear and can be interpretated depending on the reason for your stay (work or leasure): the reality is that most of the hotels apply exemption to foreigners. But not Hampton. MY opinion: this is a way to cheat customers, showing a rate and then increasing 16% whit an excuse. None of the people of the staff could prove me their thesis showing me the Colombian law. Be careful if you are foreigner, claim your exemption because it is your right. I'll never stay again in any of Hampton hotels in Colombia.
The friendly and helpful staff. Its location, while not on the beach strip, was very close to all the action, restaurants and shops. It was only a short taxi ride or 20 minute walk to the old town.
The hotel was full during the time we were there which meant breakfast was a little chaotic.
It's a new hotel, so everithing was shiny. The staff was really kind and helpful at all time.
Awesome design, the staff were very friendly.nice people very help fool
There was no parking from the hotel, so had to pay extra, at breakfast buffet the area is very small, you may bump into people or kids. I rated the staff poorly due to the fact that I had to pick up dirty plates for the table I grab so that I have space for Mines, I saw just 1 waiter cleaning and picking up the dirty dishes.
A brand new hotel in the city.
no refrigerator in the romos. no ice in the hallways
The lobby was at the 16th floor? And there is nobody on the 1st floor to help you with luggages or directions. Otherwise Very clean and the location is excellent!
The hotel is perfect for a business trip. VERY executive B&B type, well located, comfortable, modern, nice and spacious room, wifi worked perfect, and reasonably priced for Cartagena standards.
It's beautiful and comfortable but not cozy at all. Excessively impersonal. All-self-service.That might work for people that prefer to avoid personal contact and don't care about "warm hospitality" Nobody welcomes you at the front door, which is really rare in such a friendly country as Colombia and a touristic place as Cartagena. You enter directly to elevator since Lobby is at 16th floor. Nice view, though. but too cold environment. Staff are just nice, to say hello and good bye, no major contact with any of them. Breakfast just fine, but can vary/improve. No room service or mini bar Room Cleaning is also fine but is done too late. I heard guests even complaining about it. In sum, works for a couple days of business trip. For vacation there are plenty other nicer options in Cartagena.
Clean, quiet, great breakfast, comfy bed, very friendly and helpful staff, within walking distance of the old city.
A bit expensive for us, but hey, we normally stay in hostels.
Good location, same layout as other Hampton by Hilton's in other places.
This was a surprise, based on the excellent service in the Hampton in Barranquilla, but the staff left a lot to be desired. Check in went fine and the girl behind the desk knew her stuff. For the rest of the time, two people were on duty but one of them was always untrained. Frequently, there were lines for check-in with considerable waits. They completely failed to deliver my wake-up call. Luckily, I got up myself on time. When I went to the lobby to turn in my key, three guys were standing around by the desk. The paper indicating my 4:00 AM wake-up call was in plain view, but at 4;30 they had still not gotten around to it.
