We didn't like that we couldn't open our window in our unit to get some fresh air. We needed to go up to the roof for that. Also, the water was warm, not hot. Since the climate is so warm, that's not as big of a deal. But we wouldn't partake in the hot tub on the roof because the temperature is like a cooling bathtub, where you want to turn on the tap. The next time we visit, I will bring a reading light because the reading light on the beds is not bright enough. These things would not keep us from coming back, though.
We loved the views from the top of the hotel... maybe the best in a city of magnificent views. We also particularly liked one staff member, Andersen, who was very sweet and accommodating. We would go back just to visit him. (They weren't all friendly, though. The first staff member who checked in had a bit of an attitude.) The views from our room were also wonderful, although limited to the one window. The owners have done an excellent job designing the units in inventive and appealing ways.
Also, the breakfast is very nice, and we enjoyed sitting in the open air dining. Like alot of the food we found in Medellin, the tastes ran a little too sweet, meaty and greasy for us. But we were able to find options to fill up on.
