Unique rooms. Very helpful staff. Central location. Breakfast. Seriously comfortable beds. Complimentary water in the room ever day. Massages!!
Wifi in room is temperamental. Noises can be heard through the windows and doors due to the reclaimed materials used in the rooms. Not about the hotel but with noting that, as with the surrounding old town, the roads are uneven and might be tricky for some
Great location, great staff, good food, decent price
They should remove half of the pieces of decoration, and everyone (including their workers) would move around more easily.
very cosy inner courtyard good restaurant outstandingly helpful employees (especially at the reception)
rooms are a bit dark - but that's definitely something to expect in such an old building
I really enjoyed the unique decor, the bed was the most comfortable we had slept in for our entire Colombian trip, they gave us a free upgrade to a suite, and we had several choices for breakfast.
The hotel is located very close to the main square which is great. The hotel building has got a lot of character, and has got beautiful features -in general-
They are trying to be a boutique hotel, or a guest house, which we normally love, this time, however, it felt very inpersonal, too formal, not friendly and not welcoming. When we first got there very tired at night, the staff were not friendly at all, simply asked for our details and asked us to pay and sent us with another member of the staff to our room, never informed us about breakfast times, or showed us around to get to know the place and make the most of it. Breakfast was ok, again, the staff too formal, and in general you can feel a pretentious atmosphere, like being in posh not very classy restaurant in a posh hotel, when is not, what I love about guest houses is the opposite of that. The rooms are not soundproff at all, and you can hear everything, be careful! everything from next rooms!! very uncomfortable. With all this the price is way too much for what it is, what is offered and how you feel in general. Would not go back if in Villa de Leyva again.
Location was excellent and so was the staff! Breakfast was wonderful. Rooms are very warm and romantic
Wi fi could use some improvement
Food Friendly staff Location
Interiors are rather exentric
The hotel is well located just minutes from the main plaza and is housed in a beautiful old building with a lot of attention paid to the public areas downstairs, including a lovely courtyard garden.Breakfast (table service from a menu)was good. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Our room (15) located on the upper floor was quite small but it was really a case of the furniture being a bit too big for the room. No proper wardrobe space - just a few hangers and hooks on the wall. Very little privacy due to the location of the room and the fact that there were gaps all around the windows due to the age of the property. The bathroom was adequate but the shower, whilst powerful was more like a hosepipe. Unfortunately the bathroom received cooking smells from the room below and we were subject to a bit of noise from what I assume to be the boiler. Shame we were given this room when the hotel didn't seem very full. Probably should have asked to change but didn't realise the other rooms looked so much better until the day we left. A welcome drink would have been appreciated, particularly as we (like many others) had a long journey to get there.
Lovely hotel, very comfortable bed. good dining. great location overlooking plaza. friendly staff. would definitely recommend. Mel Belshaw. HelenAttwood. U.K.
Tastefully decorated in an slightly eccentric way. Helpful staff. Good food and location. Charming little town.
Very atmospheric and a beautifully restored hacienda. Staff very pleasant. Loved the little balcony over the street. Bed comfortable and nice hot water.
Wifi a bit slow.
I liked its coziness, the real state itself and the very busy decoration I liked my room And the view
The best possible hotel, with the best possible staff and location. Good food, good parking
wifi does not reach all the rooms, but it is not so important
The hotel was beautiful, charming, and so comfortable. The staff was very friendly, and central location. We went during the week, so we didn't have any issue with noise, I recommend it!
No hot water...
The patio and the many places to sit there.
Our rooms had no real windows, no view and where quite small. Ok. for one night, but not more.
charming period decoration
rooms are a bit small but charming
