There was noise from the street
I could not find hotel during carnvial season. I was pleasantly surprised by Puerto Colombia. The rooms were clean, front desk exceptionally helpful. Taking a cab to the carnivals was around $10.00 give or take and it's abt a one hr ride to the airport. Breakfast not recommended but plenty of local spots when you step out to choose from. I found it to be a quaint little town away from the crowd during the carnival season. You will hear loud music bec Colombians celebrate carnivals non stop. I would def stay here again.
The front desk ladies were very nice and called 6 different people to find us a cab to travel to cartagena. We stayed here as a cheaper option than in barranquilla for carnaval. It's only a 15-20 min cab ride at $13-$15 one way. For a group and a new yorker it's no big deal and definitely saved money. Warning, music is blasting from the bar on the opposite side of the building. If you can't sleep to music, you'll have trouble. Breakfast was decent, nothing fancy. Wifi was great. Would stay here again as an option for carnaval
Nothing much around the neighborhood. The restaurants are similar to eating street food but food was decent. the beach was a little sketchy.
