Reserva Natural Tanimboca

The location

We expected a jungle location but not the difficult access to the house tree, no advice was given prior to our arrival on footwear or risks.

a great reserve in a remote area in a bungalo up in the trees yet close enough by a short bus ride to the heart of Leticia. warm friendly and accommodating staff and guests. waking up in the jungle with the sounds of the morning and light was peaceful and breathtaking

i could have been more prepared for this kind of living. loud noises, cold shower, insects, and arrive before night and give yourself enough time to settle down or it can be difficult getting aquainted to this much nature. i loved the night life jungle but its not for everybody including my mate.

Great place and unique tree house experience. Must do!!!

My 8 year old son and I thoroughly enjoyed our 3 day stay in Tanimboca, we spent one night in the larger tree cabaña and two nights in the smaller one. The experience of sleeping 15 meters above the jungle floor is amazing. The two cabañas are about 400 meters in the jungle and separated from each other by a good distance, so the only thing you hear is the sounds of the jungle. We especially enjoyed our private nightly walks with Gildardo who was amazing at spotting wildlife. Very professional and knowledgeable staff, and the canopy is definitely worth doing too.

We really didn't have any complaints, the accommodations were rustic but that is what we expected, and wanted.

Una experiencia increible. El lugar màgico, la comida deliciosa y el servicio de cada uno de los planes que ofrece el hotel sencillamente espectacular. Recordaré esta experiencia por el resto de mi vida!!!.

Der Aufenthalt ist definitiv ein Erlebnis! Es gibt viele Möglichkeiten der Freizeit Gestaltung und schlafen im Baumhaus im Dschungel ist sehr besonders! Das Personal ist sehr nett und die guides sind kompetent und nehmen sich viel zeit die Natur zu erklären! Hier kann man mitten im Wald entspannen oder auf Abenteuer Tour gehen!

Leider war das Bad ohne Abtrennung mitten im Wohnraum und die Betten sind sehr hart! Man sollte sich hier auch bewusst sein dass es recht weit von leticia entfernt ist!

Die Nähe zur Natur mit all ihren Tierstimmen ist nicht steigerungsfähig. Das Konzert der Frösche nach Sonnenuntergang ist in jeder Nacht aufs Neue ein Erlebnis.

Baumhäuser mitten im Urwald, jedes Haus steht alleine, so dass man wirklich das Gefühl hat, mitten drin zu sein. Kein Luxus im herkömmlichen Sinn, aber viel Natur und die Baumhäuser haben alles was man braucht und sind sehr sauber, werden jeden Tag geputzt. Johana spricht etwas Englisch, ist sehr hilfsbereit und organisiert Ausflüge und Exkursionen in den Amazonas War einer der Höhepunkte der Kolumbienreise.

Espectacular, lo recomiendo. Llevar Linterna, Botas, repelente.

Muy recomendable para tener una experiencia de alojamiento diferente. Excelente atención por parte de las personas que allí trabajan.

Al estar situado dentro de la selva había muchos mosquitos. Muy recomendable el uso de todo tipo de repelentes, evitar ropa oscura (atrae a los mosquitos) y el uso de doble capa (dado que pican incluso a través de la ropa).

The location is amazing! A treehouse with toilet and running water in the middle of the Amazone jungle, about a 20 minutes walk from the entrance of the reserva. The staff was very friendly and helpful (Spanish language). Food and nightwalk were included, and the reserva can arrange multi-day amazone experiences (trekkings, trips to Peru, Puerto Narino etc). It may look a bit expensive, but it was definitely worth the money.

Of course, do not expect too much luxury (like electricity) in the middle of the jungle.
