Score from 18 reviews Excellent
Location - beaches are very good, especially on island.
Check-in: have to be at 3pm, but in reality you will get your room at 5pm or even later WiFi: they ask 23 USD for 6 hours of Internet connection, and even if you will pay, it will not work in most of rooms and speed will be very slow. Beach: at 6pm it is closed, and if you like to swim at evening you will be not allowed. Same with swimming pool. Hot water: maximum you will get – worm water with temperature about 32 °C . So, be ready for very fresh shower. Food: day by day you see completely the same menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. For few days it is fine, for more - it is quite hard. So, if you have over options – chose another hotel!
i loved the beach
i would never stay here again. i have stayed in hotels all over the world and this hotel did trick me with all their wonderful pictures and videos into believing that it would be a wonderful experience. its a 3 star hotel at best the only thing they have going for them is that beach which you can go and experience at rosaria island. i had 2 terrible days here. the food is horrible the front dest is non responsive, barely answers the phone, and if you need extra towels or emenities well hopefully you brought them from home!! they also charged us for the safe. and we were charged 6 dollars an hour for internet and they are nazys about giving out old worn pool towels!! what kind of 5 star is that?
WE LIKED THE GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION, close to the Rosario Islands and the immediate location to the Playa Blanca.
The road to the resort was unpaved, during the 45 minute drive to the hotel we went through three roadblocks by junenile delinquents stopping the car and demanding money. If the request was not granted, violence aganist the vehicle was threatened and they would shower the occupants with urine, feces or used car oil. This was very unnerving. Foreign tourists could face serious risks of possible kidnapping. Foreign tourists are charged four times more than the price that Colombian citizens are charged. I paid $600 for two nights and three days. I also paid $110 for transportation from the airport to the hotel and back. And I paid my airfare. I did research with a local customer from Bucaramanga and she paid the same money for herself, her mother and she got three nights and four days, taxes and airfare and ground transportation. I feel that this discrimative act against foreigners is an abuse and unfair treatment. We should pay the same as locals. I feel cheated because I paid more money for the same service that others paid much less. And the technicals of this situation were explained to me by saying that colombian travel agencies get heavily discounted prices, but international travel agencies do not. I do not hold it against booking, I think it is a problem of ideosynchrocy. They always try to take advantage of tourists. The most serious concern is security. I took my chances because I did not know. But now I would not recommend that a wealthy traveler come to this hotel, because many bad things could happen. I tried to use the steam bath or the sauna, but always the excuse was that it was out of service. This was an excuse not to provide the service to try to save money, and to discourage the customer from using available services. I noticed this as a policy of the company---always on the cheap side. You will not find this inconvenience in a Waldorf Astoria, Ritz Carleton, Hilton, or any other recognized international hotel.
Friendly staff, always on service in different areas of the hotel. Beautiful place to be!
The discotheque was the only bad spot in this beautiful place. The music was bad, also the decoration and the service. In the reception the attention was poor when we left. The person who made the check out was not even smiling and was not friendly and she refused to give a receipt for the payment. Wifi should be free !
Views were great...
I paid about $330 per night for two people at this particular hotel. I felt it was simply way over priced for the level of accommodations, food and drink.
beach is great
beach closed at 6:00 pm daily and pool fscilities closed st 7:00 pm daily very few things to do after pool closed. they offered large screen tvs to watch soccer matches, only to finf them closed. also only one open bar after 600 pm.
The hotel grounds were beautiful and the swimming pools were very large, plenty of room for everyone
We waited 2 hours for our bag to be delivered to the room, all the time being told it was on its way. Eventually I had to go to find it, it was outside the reception area in the sun, marked 'check out' with an incorrect number in it, so the receptionist clearly lied
The staff are exceptionally courteous and very attentive to all your request, Gina at the front desk went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional.
