Staff are very helpful! Free laundry:)
This hotel has the essentials right. Very clean, air conditioning, excellent breakfast with great coffee. Erica spoke English and was very helpful. Great value compared with other hotels in the area.
The staff is wonderful and helpful. Breakfast great. Quiet location.
Great value hotel in a wonderful town. Would definitely stay here again.
WIFI never worked
The lady owner was extremely helpful and her english was very good. Upon arrival the hotel smelled extremely clean and it was also very clean. Very central location and the lady did everything to make our stay comfortable. Our flight left late afternoon but keeping the room after check-out time was no problem
The shower only has cold water but the temperature was acceptable.
Nice clean quiet room with air con. Friendly helpful staff.
Friendly helpful staff. Nice outdoor breakfast area. Fairly central but quiet rooms.
Villa Palma has wonderful staff, cooked to order eggs or waffles for breakfast along with coffee and juice, great airconditioning in this very very humid part of the world and TV in the rooms. There are only 7 rooms I believe, so it is a very peaceful hotel allowing for resting after some busy days exploring the Amazon region. The owner can assist you with arranging tours and guides along with recommending places to eat or things to do in the town. What we really appreciated the most was that on the day of checkout we could keep our room until 5pm which was the time we had to leave for the airport. This made such a big difference to our final day as we could come back to the hotel and cool down (or escape from the downpours!) without having to worry about our big backpacks. Highly recommend Villa Palma, we hope everyone has an equally positive experience as we did.
The wi-fi was very intermittent due to the rain, out of the hotel's control though, so I wouldn't hold this against them! We managed to find an internet cafe late one evening to book flights and accommodation for our onward trip, and other than that, what do you need the internet for when you are in such an amazing part of the world anyway!! The beds are a little hard, but we were so tired that it didn't really matter :-)
Great place to stay! It was very clean and the staff was very helpful. We went on a overnight trip and were allowed to store bags there while we left. We booked with them again when we got back. We were also allowed to keep the room for a few extra hours before our flight which was a big help as they didn't need the room at the time. That was much appreciated
No English spoken, breakfast poor, no shampoos, no shower cap, lighting very poor, wi fi didn't work, no hot water, very small bathroom, didn't take credit cards, no blankets on the beds only 1sheet,
The hotel is new (as of Aug. 2013) and the rooms as well as the common area are very well kept and clean, nice design and decoration too... The staff is very friendly and helpful, they helped me find transport to the inland and to buy the boat tickets to Iquitos. The location is good, close to the city center, ATMs, restaurants and even the airport is at walking distance if you don't want to pay a taxi (20 min.). It is also a safe area.
Breakfast is always eggs with a sausage but for the price you pay it's just fine. Maybe a piece of fruit would do it. Internet didn't work most of the time but it's just like that in the whole amazon region. Even though hot water is not really necessary, the water of the shower was really cold.
