There is not much (if anything) that we didn't like! The trip consisted of three older teens and myself (single dad). When we arrived, we were expected and welcomed with open arms. Our trip was fours days and we did every activity offered - zip-lining with rappelling, horseback riding with a swim under the waterfall, quads, and the high rope rope challenge course. Every one was unique and fun. The favorite was the swim under the waterfalls because it was so unique. The guides took us on horseback to the stream and then it was a short hike to the falls and we swan until we were tired. The guides picked fresh fruit for us on the way that we ate at the falls. Truly a one of a kind day trip. We also really enjoyed the high ropes course. It was very challenging and had a sense of danger because you were so high in the trees (but there was no actual danger because you were secured by a safety line). If you wanted to work the course on your own, you could. But if you had difficulty, the guides were right there to help you out. You could bite off as much of a challenge as you wanted but was still safe enough for a novice. Zip-lining -- best I've done. Steep ones, long ones, rappelling -- it was all there. Again the guides were fun, interactive and humorous and the views through the jungle were fabulous. All the activities aside - the food was absolutely magnificent. Chef Jose was incredible. When you can get three teenagers to compliment the chef, you know the food is good. It was fresh, unique and flavorful. The entire staff was friendly, interactive and fun. Language was not a problem - English, Spanish (of course), German, French - and I even threw in a bit of Russian. No problem. Lastly - the price. I prepaid for all the activities. They were adequately priced and I charged all the meals to my room. When I checked out and got my food bill, I got a big surprise. It was about 1/3 of what I expected! What a deal. Such great...
Hmmm. Gotta think here. Nope. Nothing. Ever try to get three teenagers to agree on anything? They all had a fantastic time from the activities to the incredible views to the food!
We love the mountain views and view of the Gulf of Nicoya from our room. We loved the tours given- we did zip lining, horseback riding to gold mines, and a high ropes course, all of which were excellent and the staff was excellent on them as well. Loved the large room as well.
We loved the zip-lining tour! And the resort was so secluded- we got a great feel for the rainforest on the hotel's many trails.
The rooms had kind of a strange layout- it would have been great to be set up in a room with just one bed for a couple
