Words can not express how much I love the blue conga!!! Great service beautiful property and amazing management! They made my trip a once in a life time experience. I was traveling alone and a little nervousness but upon my arrival and seeing my room and meeting Stephanie I instantly felt safe and at home! Stephanie is amazing! Helpful, kind and a amazingly hard worker!! As well as everyone who works there!great food right across the street as well! Oh and the breakfast best fruit I eat my whole visit! You won't regret your time spent at the blue conga! I promise!! Seriously your hammock is waiting!!!
When out in the Carribean you shouldn't bother about details, because the locals surely don't. With that in mind this hotel is just fine. The owner is a very nice and welcoming guy who's always available. The location is quite good and the palapa-styled bar / restaurant is awesome.
Some parts of the hotel are older. These rooms are only used when the hotel is near full and renovation should be underway. Whilst there is nothing really wrong with the rooms, it's clear they aren't as nice as the newer ones. I'd surely visit this hotel again.
Quite location, swimming pool and friendly owner
Small hotel, small pool, small room, it looks ok on the pictures but not worth the 90 dollars a night. Location good, bikes for rent. Staff very helpful.
Bed very hard. Overpriced for what you get but that is the same for whole Costa Rica.
Despite we came there in a really rainy week and we were affected by it, we had a really good feeling about the hotel. Its clean, the stuff is friendly and helpfull and the breakfast that we had was wonderful and healthy. The price is totally fair.
The problem was with wifi, it was either not working at all or was slow. We had stayed there in two places and we had problems everytime. Just that. Well, the goodbye was a bit low blow, not sorry for saying that: we were leaving the hotel early in the morning at 6am and we agreed with manager on the reception that we would have our breakfast ready for the go, but at the morning a big surprise was waiting on us with the empty table and dinning room. The lady serving the breakfast told us she did not get any info about our modest favour.
Overall, we were very satisfied with our accommodations as the Blue Conga. It is nicely secluded from the noise in town yet close to everything. The rooms were immaculate and the grounds well landscaped. Staff tries hard to meet your needs.
The only thing I would improve upon is the breakfast. If not for the convenience of having breakfast served to you as you roll out of bed, I would not have eaten the food again. Blue Conga management: Rather than firing the young lady who prepares breakfast, teach her how to cook without turning eggs into rubber and using a gallon of grease. She is a lovely girl and I suspect she would be willing to learn.
This is my second trip to Cr in the I last 6 months. I enjoyed my Feb trip at the blue Conga I booked another stay for my husband and I . Simply put, you will not find a better location, hospitality, free breakfast, or loving vibe anywhere else in PV. Eric and. Stephanie are very accommodating. If you have an issue or a problem, they will take care of it right away. I had a great time and my next stay in Nivemebrt will also be at the Blue Conga.
The location - 10 min walk to the downtown and not on the main road (therefore not too noisy). The pool where the breakfast is served. Some excelent restaurants (recommended by our host) nearby. Near to all beaches around and to the Jaguar rescue center, which is a must to visit.
location was central, within walking distance to puerto viejo but tucked off the main road so the resort was quiet. Very friendly staff, great breakfast in a beautiful garden setting beside the pool. Great value, nice room with private porch, outdoor seating and hammock.
The room was cleand and we had a nice comfortable king bed. Front desk service was nice and the fan worked well. Parking was secure, recycling bins were visible.
There was no window in our room, only a glass door to the private balcony. The shower stall was black which seem very dark and jarring for a hotel room. It was hard to learn how to operate the room safe and it was ackward to use as it is bolted to the floor.
The hotel very green environment, the pool, owner very nice. Excellent food prepared by chef Johnatan.
The room, bed sheets stained, running water smells bad, coffee tastes bad because of that water.
Location, close to town but quiet, very nice garden and pool, excellent food at the hotel.
very friendly staff; we got a cheaper room rate than originally booked, without asking; good breakfast; nice decorated rooms; comfortable hammock on the terrace; not totally in the center, but therefor quite --> you can reach everything within a few minutes of walking
Clean and fresh with security and pool.
No a/c but was only available room in town. Rate didn't match with quality.
The owner was really friendly and helpful. Location is quiet but bit far away from the center (10min).
Price vs. quality is aweful. We would have expected more since it supposed to be a 3 star hotel!!! The smell of the bathroom was disgusting. The breakfast was every day the same.there was no water tank available.just coffee and juice.
The bed was AWESOME! We liked our porch as well on the second floor.
Eric the Manager was pretty unprofessional how he addressed certain things about the hotel. The bikes they had for rent were in terrible condition. The breakfast was one plate of food mediocre at best. The road that you had to go down to get to it was terrible definitely could use maintenance. Wi-Fi was not available in our room (13). To expensive in my opinion. Pool is super small!
Staff was very friendly. The hotel was close to town but far enough away so you heard no traffic or noise. Beautiful area overall.
close in to town to walk but away from the hustle & bustle. cute pool
given what we paid, the room was dumpy and needed refurbishing in a bad way. security compared to the other 3 places we stayed at was very lax - anyone could come in via the side gate at any time of the day. we were looking forward to great breakfast and were sorely disappointed given what we experienced at other places in the same price range.
THE location, cool little breakfast.
Great location/great price; good pool and eating/sitting area; staff was very friendly and helpful; breakfast and morning coffee was great
paper thin walls > you can hear everything! in the next room; fans in rooms do help cool things down but AC would be a welcome addition.
Hotel is stylish with great decorations, I really loved it there. The owner is the best guy ever who takes great care of his hotel, is very friendly and helpful. We had a fantastic time there and definitely want to come back. I have been in many hotels in my life (I travel usually every second month) and I think this was the best hotel I have ever been in (style, location, friendliness, owner). Really recommend!
Friendly staff. We liked the location, close to excellent restaurants and an easy bike ride to the beach. The rooms were clean and so was the pool and surrounding area. Great breakfast every morning.
It would be nice if the rooms had air conditioning. The weather is very humid.
Eric and Stephanie are among some of the most amazing people I have met. William was awesome as well! Great staff, great room, good food, excellent, excellent, excellent!!
