Quiet area, size of the room, good wifi, close to everything in Puerto Viejo
Smell in the room, only a small window, no moskito net on the door so you can sleep with some fresh air
Friendly employees. Simple but clean room. Knowledgable about the area and willing to give advice. great location in Puerto Viejo far enough from the noise on the beach but a short walk.
Shower curtain in the bathroom area would be helpful. Ceiling fan.
The staff was very nice and helpful. Hotel was close to the beach and just a little walk from the centre of town. Room was clean and spacious.
The street the hotel is in isn't very attractive.
Rooms layout modern and simple Very clean Very friendly staff and owners No TV just like my house 2 min walk from beach and away from the noise
to leave :(
A warm welcome. Rooms are clean. Enough space.
Well, There is no wardrobe available. Some shelves only. It's all a bit home made. The mattress lyes on a concrete block. If somebody is sensitives at the back - there is no slatted frame underneath.
When we were staying at Hotel Indalo, our lock to the door broke. Not only did the management make sure that we knew that there was a guard for the hotel, but they brought out a locksmith that day to fix it and they gave us free breakfast in the morning to compensate. The hotel is the perfect location, about 5 blocks from the town center, which allows for a fun night out and then a quiet place to sleep. It's clean, with big rooms, and run by a mother and her daughter who are both wonderful people. I would HIGHLY recommend staying here if you are ever in Puerto Viejo!!
The rooms have no ventilation so it is like a sauna. It was cooler outside than it was in the room. A screen door to be able to leave the door open and let a breeze in would be nice.
Very nice room, very good neighbourhood, close to many restaurants and bars.
The pool is very small and the water looked a bit dirty.
Quiet place, great staff, decent room.
The shower was bad, like all the showers in Central America :)
Quiet location Nice looking rooms Friendly, helpful staff
Wifi was a bit spotty Room have all glass front so have to use curtains for privacy No shower curtain so bathroom gets wet
Close to town, yet towards the back so very quiet. Clean, contemporary style. Family that owns made us feel very welcome.
Pillows lumpy, two twin beds put together made difficult to sleep close together.
Nothing positive, check other negative reviews and be warned!!!
Upon arriving at the property, we entered a moldy room, on pillows, sheets etc... the smell was unbearable, the room was not even clean. However we arrived late evening and didn't have any other options to go to as the town was fully booked. We then realized that there was no water, after mentioning this a couple of times to the owners, they became aggressive and told us to leave after the first night, even though we had booked for two nights, because the town was full and they knew this, we refused to leave but the owner forced their way into the room and took our bags out, we where physically threatened and left, they still charged us and did not want to give us our money back!!! Avoid at all costs!!! Very aggresive, very angry owners!! It was the worst experience of our entire 6 months travelling around Costa Rica!!!
Rooms clean and bug free Quiet peaceful in evening not woken up by parakeets or monkeys staff helpful
Bathroom is very wet as shower head in wrong position Very hot as low roof and fans don't really cool the rooms effectively
We just came from the jungle and this place was dry which is just what we wanted! We had 2 fans in the room which kept us plenty cool. It was very clean and had everything we needed.
I loved the room set-up.Lots of storage too
all was good.
Good boutique hotel. Friendly staff. Wifi works well. Might be at the edge of town but still only a short walk away form everywhere.
Not a personal issue but others might see it as an issue as bath and toilet area have no door connected to the living room (even though a wall separates the areas).
Nice helpfull staff , and a good night jungle tour by karsten the neighbour altough it was a little bit to long : )
Hipster style decor made me feel like I was on a set for a play.
Breakfast wasn't included and the communal area wasn't very inviting. I wish Booking.com should include the actual price in the booking rather than adding the 13% tax in the small print.
Location ( near the city )
Not clean Mold everywhere ( bathroom, pillows(!!!), ceiling) No mosquito net
Lovely small boutique hotel in Puerto Viejo. Carlos & Cristina are very friendly and will help you in everything you may need, including booking tours and activities. Short distance from the center. Safe, clean and confortable.
Simply a great place to stay: very nice and helpfull hostes, a very spacious room with a comftable bed and the basic stuff. Clean white sheeds and tastefull interior design. The hotel is located very central and at the same time it's very quiet. Very good value for the price.
- Quiet location yet only a short walk from the main street / beach - Helpful, English + Spanish speaking staff - Lovely boutique rooms with private bathroom and shower
The staff was excellent, very friendly and helpful… I pleasure to have met them... Rooms were very nice, minimalist style and modern…
Lovely small hotel run by lovely people!
We stayed in this hotel 3 weeks ago at the beginning of our Costa Rica adventure. Overall it was a nice stay, nothing to complain about. Rooms comfortable, clean and modern, staff really helpful, good relation between price and quality.
we did not like Puerto Viejo itself
