Breakfast was quite nice although not much. Free tea & coffee all day
Room was super small and quite cold No nice view from the room The location is not that good since it's already out of the city
Beautiful location, spacious room, friendly and extremely helpful staff, lovely grounds, great breakfast and shared facilities. It's not fancy by any stretch but it's clean and pleasant and we'd definitely stay here again.
Rooms aren't very soundproof.
Great staff, very helpful in arranging trips and anything else you need. Very good breakfast and during the day they sell beer at very reasonable price. You also have access to kitchen & fridge during the day. Very good location, walking distance from Monteverde downtown restaurants area.
Room are a bit on the small side, bed is pretty small and shower is hard to operate to get warm water.
My friends and I really enjoyed our stay. Jose was really attentive to our needs and was professional and friendly. The major plus side is that coffee and tea are served throughout the day and there's free breakfast included! I would highly recommend this B&B to ALL my friends and family! Gracias Jose'ito!
Style Breakfast Access to kitchen sitting area stonework free wifi at 60$/night
looping PG13+ music videos WiFi poor outside lobby billing confusing: what did I pay for? Constant wind at this location.
Good B&B for a stay of a few days
The weather. We could not find the B&B easy.
Great staff. Many excelent advices from the receptionist. So friendly and always there to help. We have had an unforgetable time at camino verde!
Everythi g was excelent
Pitsch befor check in. It was loud.
Nice views and common areas.
Kind of a trek uphill from town. It cost more than other similar places, but that may be because I booked so far ahead. Don't book way ahead here for July.
Jose is an excellent host. I would recommend this place very highly. Gracias for a wonderful weekend.
Always helpful and friendly proprietor available to help. Booking excursions with him was easy and effortless.
Booked excursions and incurred a number of different expenses with the proprietor but was a bit shell shocked when expected to pay my "tab" in cash at the end! Didn't see that coming and was a put off
Breakfast amazing staff rooms
roads to the B&B
Good location and incredibly helpful and knowledgeable staff
Rooms a little tired and dated and bed mattresses could do with replacing. Wifi sketchy in some areas
Staff was outstanding and very fluent in English. Jose arranged a number of outings for us that were great. Breakfast is good and the location is an easy walk to downtown. Off street parking is available.
Mattress was worn out (had to lay between to bad springs), dogs barking constantly at night
The family that owns the business made me feel right at home. They and their staff went out of their way to take care of me and attend to my needs. The breakfast choices and food are very good. Coffee is available all day. Beer and wine are available at a reasonable price. Tour prices are reasonable. Having use of the kitchen is nice.
My room was a bit small, particularly the bathroom. It is nevertheless a great value for the money and well worth the stay.
The accommodations were sparse but serviceable, and affordable. Very good for backpackers I would say, but if you're looking for something more romantic then the hotels outside the main town are probably a better option to look into. Good Wifi.
We didn't even get to stay at Hotel Camino Verde, though we had a reservation there. Instead, they shuttled us across the street to an entirely different hostel, without any word of explanation or apology. It's just their normal practice. This made us wary from the beginning, and kind of makes these kind of reviews pointless if you don't know where you're really going to end up when you book the reservation. It's fine if you just want a cheap hostel and don't really care about the specifics.
Beds were awful, hot water was non-existent and room was filthy.
Beds were awful, hot water was non-existent, room was filthy.
Very nice and helpful staff. The communal kitchen was convenient for storing ice cream (but watch out, people steal) and cutting up fruit. Breakfast was tasty.
Room was cramped. Wished the room had windows you could open OR a floor or ceiling fan. Even though it cools down at night, it gets stuffy during the day. The shower is tricky, unless you know to turn the faucet just a little to activate the heater in the shower head, the water is cold.
A Bed & Breakfast with 28 rooms? As far as we could tell Camino Verde only has eight. Big chance you get a room at the hotel across the street, which apparantly belongs to the aunt of one of the managers. This has lots of rooms and looks more like a highway motel instead of what was pictured. Then the lobby which is set up like a travel agency. Desks with two chairs where the staff are more than willing to book you on any activity you can think of. Everybody works on commission but this is a joke. Value for money is there but be aware that this is a bigger hotel operation than the name suggests. If you're looking for a bed & breakfast, look further.
Staff were excellent. Spoke fluent English and were very helpful. Rooms were huge. NO fridges, so we had to walk down a sidewalk across the road to Camino Verde B & B. Even though we booked at Camino Verde we were put across the road at the other hotel which they owned. We didn't mind staying there because of the rooms and it wasn't hilly for the kids. The only problem was staying across the street was at our hotel they locked the doors at 8:30 p.m so we had to walk basically around the block to get to our hotel which was a pain if you needed something from the fridge. Also, Camino Verde closes at 9:30 p.m.
The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. The price was reasonable. You can book tours and get picked up right from the hotel. The free breakfast was very good. The pancakes were awesome. They had a community kitchen you can use. The staff were very accommodating. Good location. Close to a lot.
Dishes were not the cleanest. Our bathroom window had a crack, in which bugs were coming in.
Friendly and helpful staff
Old fashioned room, shower not in best condition
The guys at reception are hilarious, but will resolve any problem or answer any question. Breakfast was good.
Very windy at night, but of course that isn't the hotel's fault. Bathroom walls didn't reach the ceiling so you could hear and smell everybody.
